every show needs a halloween themed episode. even this one. so glad michael landon knew that shout out to him 🗣
Than you Michael London for such a wonderful series
RIP pal ۔
AWOOO!!! By far one of the best episodes! Watching this just a couple of days away from Halloween made my day/night! RIP Micheal; you were one of the greatest. As were you, Victor.
His bday was Oct 31st and his first film was I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF. This info makes this segment even funnier to me. Landon was a funny dude.
hell yeah man Bonanza Little House on the prairie highway to heaven I was a teenage werewolf and everything in between
oh not to mention he was on Donny and Marie in the '70s or Captain and tennille and Tony Orlando and Dawn he was on one or two of those shows Michael Landon
and and Victor French get smart baby
This episode aired October 28, 1987. Excellent Halloween gift to the viewing audience. 😎
Landons humor is great. He was in a movie in his younger days called " I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF" it was actually his debut that srarted his acting career. His birthday was Oct 31. No wonder he enjoyed Halloween. Lol
👍
And they still have that here on YT! ua-cam.com/video/DmdasKbpsdk/v-deo.html
Holy smoke is that rite !! 😳 2 many 🪙cidences
That's the movie that Mark is watching in this episode. LoL
@@rabidunion6949 That is funny :)
As a tradition, I watch this every Halloween like the great pumpkin Charlie Brown. Somethings you just got to do.
R.I.P michael landon and victor french.
fries
I like to imagine that the series finale would have been about Johnathan being finished with his assignment and getting promoted thus having to go to heaven and Mark dying then being made a probationary angel himself. The final scene would be of Johnathan smiling at Mark and saying don't worry I'll always be with you you may not always be able to see me but you'll be able to hear my voice directing you and guiding you. If you ever get lonely I'll come back down and be with you my friend .
I had a similar idea. Mark dies from an illness we the audience are not told (French Passed away from Lung Cancer for anyone who doesn't know). Johnathan is walking on the side of the road and Mark's car pulls up. Of course it's Mark with a different face. An angel in training who explains to Johnathan that the Boss didn't want to break up the team.
Love this! Seeing Michael reprise the werewolf is awesome
6:45 Mark is watching 'I am a Teenage Werewolf' which stars non other than Micheal Landon! That's why Mark says Johnan reminds him of the main character in the film.
Marc Zero
Oh WOW didn't know that lol😂
That's right, it was his first movie role in 1957
When I was a kid, somebody told me that Michael Landon wanted to burn all the copies of that movie. Based on the fact that he wrote and directed this episode, I don't think he felt quite as strongly as that person thought.
Cool! yes! I thought the werewolf movie Mark was watching featured a very young Michael Landon!!
Marc Zero It's Michael not Micheal
Omg lol this episode is hysterical! Lol😂👹 I jumped and laughed my ass off when Johnathan jumped out of the fridge lol and Mark was so scared lol😂
I so love this show!! Thanks for sharing all these amaZin episodes! NiCe to have a good laugh after balling my eyes out at so many other episodes lol
With out a doubt my favorite high way to Heaven episode. The end priceless . He look right into the camera. Thank you Mike Landon an Victor French
That was awesome!! Mark cracks me up!!
I remember watching this episode as a kid & it stood out so much that I remembered it over 30 years later! Rip Michael!!!
This episode aired October 28, 1987. Excellent Halloween gift to the viewing audience. 😎
My heart broke for the boy when his selfish father refused to take him out trick or treating.
ua-cam.com/video/1QdUhNY6DnY/v-deo.html
trick or treating sucks
the father works monday to friday he needs to rest
@@rojeliosanchez5339 so what do you think should have happened? The mom should've taken the kids and dad watched the baby? It was Saturday night-he had the day to rest.
I take it you've never been a parent.
Victor French was a great actor
I always wondered if the last scene was another dream, or Jonathan just using "the stuff" to mess with Mark. My favorite HTH episode. Netflix has the whole series now! Was binge watching over the weekend. I always dreamed of a series finale where Mark dies and Jonathan spreads wings and flies them both to Heaven. That would have been epic. They co-directed as well. RIP Victor and Michael. Class acts. My other fave is the one where Mark accidentally sells his soul to Satan. LOL! He was always getting himself into something.
Sadly during the 5 season, they made only 9 episodes, 13 all together. The last 4 episode were edited from other seasons with Victor French as Mark. Victor died from lung cancer, if you seen the 9th episode you'll notice Victor was much thinner. Victor died on June 15, 1989. Michael Landon died 2 years later from progressive pancreatic cancer which he learned only three months before he passed away. RIP to both great actors.
@@jimk.7663 I never knew that, and I guess that's why the show came to an end as I don't think Michael wanted to do another episode without Victor nor accept the idea to have a new character with him. THat's true friendship right there. Such a shame cancer took them both away.
I always envisioned Mark dying, a funeral attended by a grieving Johnathan, then cut to Johnathan walking alone on a highway when a familiar car pulls up. Turns out the Boss didn't want to break up the team.
A deadly combination between Michael Jackson's "Trailer" and Freddy Krueger from "A Nightmare on Elm Street". Only Michael Landon can make such a successful combination!
Michael Jackson "Thriller" video
I sure miss ML. He was a great storyteller.
So hilarious an episode... especially cashing in on the role that got Michael Landon noticed by some.
Him & his werewolf references 🤣 Love it! That was also an excellent movie for being in the late 1950’s!
I bet that sub Mark ate gave him a helluva heartburn. ❤️🔥
loved it when Jonathan jumps from the fridge and Mark`s face when he did, but what a let down when the devil didn`t appear again
Yeah I wish they brought up the devil again
Very good episode, ending was great🤣
18:05 "to change my shorts" !!!! HAHAHAHA....NEVER thought I'd hear that in a tv show! HIlarious!
I cracked up laughing too. It was quite funny.
This is my favorite episode. It's really scary
I can watch this show FOREVER…. It teaches sooo many life experiences and lessons…. In addition, I love both Michael and his partner …
Such good actors, artist, directors etc…..
I remember watching this with my Nana. Good times
This is my *FAVORITE* episode 😃🐺🎃
My father is taft.
He is drinking beer, watching sports and yeeling on people while driving :-D
Woow. I am taft guy too. great
LOL Love how Mark is muttering to himself about staying awake, poor guy, I bet this will be the last time he watches scary movies

or eats one of Satan's Subs

Right LOL
That right hook at 12:03. Ouch. 😂
Michael Landon: "I was looking for this little girl" 16:55
Lady: "He's a pervert! He's a pervert!!"
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
I forgot how sly and hilarious Highway to Heaven could be, sneaking in humor like that in a family show.
That was probably in the top 5 laughs I've had all month.
Another episode of highway to heaven that I love the most. Was when Jonathan and Mark became police officers. Mark says to Jonathan that was cute where did you get your guy. D. Jonathan said same place you got yours. Mark said why would he give us an assignment like this one. Jonathan said because you asked him for it. Mark says I did not ask him for it. All I said was God I wish you had to be a cop? Jonathan says ha ha Mark said what do you listen to me for. I’m just a person.
My favorite Highway to Heaven episode. My mom's favorite too. Hilarious!
Awesome episode love this one. Michael Landon and Victor French were great in this one, thanks for sharing.
Victor French played scary bad guys in his early career . He is such a good loveable character here. Funny and relatable.
🤣 mark”s literally watching michael’s werewolf movie! Omg I totally forgot that bit! ☠️
This Is a hell of an episode
ua-cam.com/video/1QdUhNY6DnY/v-deo.html
Only this chapter beats, anynowadays horror movie.
This episode is my favorite one.
Ha, ha, ha ! The ending was funny when he looked at the camera and said "Happy Halloween".
Too bad he couldn't have played THriller from Michael Jackson. That would've been funny.
Victor French was so dramatic screaming for his life like that.
VICTOR WAS GREAT IN CARTER COUNTRY
The cramps should have done 'i was a middle aged werewolf' cover for the show
The greatest Halloween special of any show ever
I love that it 27 minutes his dad is tough like Charles Bronson drinks beer and watches Sports and yells at other drivers when he's in his car
TY for sharing this. I appreciate you so much.
Going to change my shorts! So funny!😂
kind of ironic that during the 80's there was a movie in 19985 a few months after Back To The Future came out in theaters. Teen Wolf was released and it more of a comedy about a teenage warewolf..
Great show!
Love this episode came out when I was a kid
It's getting closer to Halloween, you know what that means! Any of you guys watching this episode coming up?
WATCHING RIGHT NOW :)
Landon was born on Oct 31st. Cool huh? Lol
this episode scared the crap out of me as a kid!
Now at 42 years old im looking it up to see just how scary it was. not bad for an angel 😜
Oh my God, he bought a.....footlong sub!!
Looked like a mile long inside the sub shop lol
Just awesome
One of the best episodes of Highway To Heaven. Lots of creativity on display.
This was a great episode for hallowee
I enjoyed this one....Michael Landon or Jonathan as Warewolf...this reminds me of Thriller of Michael Jackson and the biggest album of all time,,,,,,,,,,what amazed me is the stairway...where Jonathan warewolrf going up its the same stairs on Billie Jean short film....amazing!!!!
@33.22 instead of going back in the house, Allan should have let his sister think he was eaten/carried off by the werewolf. That really would have scared her!
Probably not. She is clearly a psycho bitch.
I'd say Michael Landon had great fun reprising a role he played in his early acting career! I'm not an actress, well, if you count acting the maggot, then I suppose I am, I don't work in the movie industry. In saying all that, that episode looks like it was fun to shoot! I bet there were loads of laughs during the shooting!
I really miss Michael Landon he is good guy I am turning werewolf.
12:02. My mom EXACTLY! Remember the 80s, when you could knock the shit out of a disrespect kid? It was great!
LOL NOT ANYMORE YOU GO TO JAIL OR THEY WILL SHOOT YOU
That was quite shocking. But ive seen some pretty shocking things done and said on some of these episodes. Im surprised liberals havent tried to have them removed.
oh yeah no doubt when the kid got disrespectful slap them around and that's the way it was and that's how you learned them respect nowadays forget about it I just can't believe how much is country has changed and all for the worst I'm almost embarrassed to being an American I used to be so damn proud to be one
@cathyt144 I haven't seen anything in any of these episodes that a liberal would object to. What sort of thing did you have in mind?
I have the entire collection. Money well spent
definitely I have the collection too its my prized possession
This is missing the scene where Allan buys a soda in the hotel and the machine is bust.
LOL - and when the clerk wouldn't give the kid a refund, Michael Landon played that one trick that made the pop machine go haywire.
@@jackiebrown6845 Damn, that was the best part.
I noticed that too plus a bit of the conversation that Allen had trying to convince Jonathan to scare his sister is missing.
It looks like they are using the version they used for the Dove Channel back in the day. My mom use to watch Highway to Heaven on it and she let me know when this episode came on since it was always my favorite growing up.
That's why the also censored the word Hell in it too.
@@haggardwashere262 I know the part you're talking about - in the edited version, Allen said "I just wish I could get her back just once.", then, as he has that light bulb expression on his face, he says "Hey!" and then Jonathan, knowing what he has in mind, said, "Oh no! No, no, Allen, uh-uh!" That was when it cut right to them doing it anyway, cutting the part where Allen pleads with Jonathan to do the werewolf bit and then Jonathan concedes.
The hour long shows are usually 48 minutes
Is it bad that with all this craziness going on, the most unbelievable part of the story is that he got a 2 foot long sub for $3!
Best episode ever❤
A bit of History on Landon. He was born on Oct 31st, birth name Eugene Maurice Orowitz. He got the nickname OOGY in high school an became a javelin thrower. Won a scholarship to USC His first film I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF . He was also in the films GODS LITTLE ACRE, THE LEGEND OF TOM DOOLEY, TELEPHONE TIME, HIGH SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL,AND SAMS SON. Then of course ,Bonanza,Little House and Highway to Heaven. Theres a film called THE LONELIEST RUNNER based on his childhood experiences as a bedwetter who became a runner because of it and his mothers abuse. Landons son,Michael has a movie on youtube about his life with Landon as his dad. A&E has a 3 part documentary about Landon all his followers and fans should see. I think Landon had to have a great sense of humor, esp going thru high school as OOGY OROWITZ . He wasnt perfect and made mistakes like the rest of us,but he had a beautiful soul and a giving heart. RIP Michael Landon( Eugene Orowitz)
Here's the link to his I was a Teenage Werewolf: ua-cam.com/video/DmdasKbpsdk/v-deo.html
I was brought up on all the old shows highway to heaven is my top favorite
That was so...😥😢....touching 😭 beautiful !....just.....beautiful !!! 🌈🌻💐
Not the best episode, I thought, but definitely one of the coolest. I loved the references to I Was a Teenage Werewolf.
Cool I love Michel landon an especially mark Gordon.
Give me a break the Satan with horns,Satan means an angel against Jehovah the true God,the living God,Jehovah wil destroy him, look around you, read your Bible, profecies are coming true.

Landons first acting was in the movie " I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF" which is the actual movie in this . His sense of humor is awesome.
First he’s a robber, then he’s a pervert! Poor jonathan! 🤣
LMAO MARK
Thank y’all for sharing these messages with me. I feel good watching them. Then I remember that Michael Landon is gone. He should be in heaven!!!
ua-cam.com/video/1QdUhNY6DnY/v-deo.html
Granville Van Dusen plays the boy's father. He was on an episode of The Bionic Woman called "Biofeedback".
This was a nod on Landon playing the role years ago when he was young.
I caught that too. It was actually his acting debut .He was in several other films im going to try to find. GODS LITTLE ACRE, THE LEGEND OF TOM DOOLEY,TELEPHONE TIME, HIGH SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL,&SAMS SON. I was watching an A&E documentary last week. His real name was Orowitz and his nickname was OOGY. and he won a scholarship at USC. for javelin throwing. Have you watched the movie his son Michael wrote about his dad? I was really surprised to hear the family history.
I just now notice the little kid is the same actor that played Fulton Reed in The Mighty Ducks.
Plot twist: the sub that Mark got was made out of human flesh, like in Sweeney Todd, since it came from Satan’s Subs, lol! P.S. for some reason, I think Michael Landon would have enjoyed Sweeney Todd, Broadway wise, knowing how he was into horror stuff and what not.🧛🏻🧟♂️
It’s so incredibly strange how the word “hell” is being censored as if it was some forbidden word. It really is and it’s unacceptable whoever chose to do that is beyond absurd and I do happen to find that offending.
5:28
They censored Hell. FilmRise must have gotten the copies from the Dove Channel.
They censor a lot of the "bad" language in these episodes.
I wanted to slap those girls across the face for scaring that old man & her little brother
I love Victor French
Another great episode. 💯
5:43 "I always do!" 😈😈😈😈
What was the movie Landon was in playing a werewolf? Just looked it up "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" 1957 starring Michael Landon. WOW at 6:20 that movie is revisited. My they must have had fun making this one.
Lol
That was his actual acting debut. He was in a lot of films in his younger days before his big break on Bonanza. Landons bday was Oct 31st. I bet he loved Halloween. Lol
12:04 Whoa, former prize boxer
43:24 happy Halloween from the late Michael Landon miss him so much
Me 2, especially when he played Little Joe Cartwright on Bonanza and Charles Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie.
That cool moment when you noticed a young Foggy Nelson
Aka little Fulton Reed
My siblings and I grew up watching this!! We loved it. Happy Halloween :)
Thank you Michael and Victor....Great comedians...funny too...and heart_warming story
Great!!!! Now I know how to prevent of nightmares - me ... and the neighbours 😁
