For what I remember she couldn't deal with the life James was leading and they broke up. In season 1 if I remembered correctly. And she never appeared again.

It was “must see tv” when James and Teresa we’re together. Now it seems they are out of love and I can’t watch that, or the new guy(s) she hooks up with. She just seems shallow to me now. 😢

She has other priorities in mind, but the guy she hooked up with is just a distraction, she never thought about James would still come around and rescue her at that moment. Still she is strong, she never backs down on her goal. It is actually good that she came to her senses and learned that James do care for her.
