Really good video. Thanks for explaining what the parts are and what they do. You went about this very methodically and succeeded in isolating the faulty component. Did it work again after you replaced the shorted IGBT, or was there another upstream fault that caused the short in the first place?

Thanks for the comment, i will soon make the part two, i think there are some more problems with it when i tested it with new IGBTs

@MrTesla1337 I have a AEG induction cooker since 2001 and the two rings at the front stopped working intermittently about a year ago, sometimes they worked and sometimes they did not. But recently they stopped working altogether and I have gotten used to using only the two at the back. The lights are blinking but they keep blinking if I put a pan on top, it seems like there is no pan on it: there is no current flowing through the front two coils. Any idea what it could be? Thanks for the video btw, very informative.

Hi, please, could you be able to help me showing how can connect again the connections to the mother board?, I have 2 plaques; 4 cables with colors and the mother board has alphanumerics like J5,J6 ,TX2, V2 and J7, J8, TX4 and J2. I’ve lost the picture with the correct connection when I disconnected to send only motherboard to repair. Thanks

Could induction stove or cooktop be set or programmed to derate the power in case the thickness of the wires inside the house walls were less than the thickness needed to carry the maximum power ?

Hi my dear! I am reaching out to see if you can help, I got a Hisense induction hob, suddenly it stopped working properly, so when I turn it on after few seconds the main switch and the regulation of *power switch stop working, it just keeps going, like it is lock or something similar. Any Ideas of what is happening with the control board?

I let my friend sleep in my apartment for a while and after I came home he told me that my stove instantly stopped working. All the cooking fields are not working. Furthermore My stove seems to not have any energy, because the indicating lights don‘t even turn on. What could be the problem?

How power efficient are these induction cookers?
I'm going to solar and looking for alternative for natural gas or propane.

The Induction cooker is much more efficient than a cast iron or ceramic cooker, some numbers i found on google is that a induction cooker has an efficency of round 90% and the other has 65-70% because some heat is lost round the pot or conducted from the hotplate into the rest of the stove

About 30-40% more efficient than coil, resistant electric stove. With the right pan this goes up too
