The White House defends that Biden "had a bad night because he had a cold" during the debate

Since the “disastrous” performance of the US president, Joe Biden, in the first debate against former president Donald Trump - according to what the Democrats themselves have said - there have been several reasons that have emerged to explain it. The first was the cold he was suffering from, then a rumor appeared that he could be under the effects of medication (but the White House has denied it) and now Biden himself has acknowledged that he “almost fell asleep” during the program due to the fatigue caused by the trips he had made just days before to Italy for the G7 summit and to France for the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings.
