The game gives you the option to unsuscribe from Jonah, but why the hell anyone would want to is beyond me.
Whoever does that has a lose screw. Jonah is the comic relief of the game xD
To be fair sometimes its a little distracting when your having a cinematic webslinging trip to the intense music and then he starts fucking screaming about Spider-Man
How do u unsubscribe
Jonah, you’re too much.
what's annoying is i made the most badass swing in the world to reach a mission and its at that exact time that j jonah's stupid radio show comes on, not while i was doing useless stuff or just swinging around but when im inches away form the mission marker
I love it when he accuses Spider-Man of eating pigeons.
Where?
Archana Gupta when you capture all the pidgeon
gabriel jimenez Theres a side mission also relating to pigeons where he accuses him of eating them
The whole swinging around hopped up on smog bit got me laughing xD hahaha
Hearing him say "...he's eating them" made me die laughing.
J. Jonah Jameson is egocentric, he's arrogant, and he's got several anger management issues he needs to work out, but one thing I will always love about him, that I think this game got down really well, is that despite his blind hatred of Spider-Man, his cocky arrogance, and his past transgressions, he genuinely is a good person deep down and cares about his home.
he's also a hypocrite-i can't believe a word he says
more of the paid actors of JJJ
@@SPIDERVENOM1000 damn right, look at what he says about screwballs antics, self promotion by latching onto Spiderman's heroics, only JJ keeps himself relevant by slandering Spidey at every turn, so ironically for a guy that hates Spidey his business is kept in business because he feeds off of Spidey
iiiiii wouldn't say relevant-at lest not to those half a brain. he can't say one damn thing without slandering spiderman. people say he cares about the city-from where i'm sitting-it sounds like he's trying to gain more supporters while trying to downplay all that spiderman has actually done-acting like he's only one who cares-like he's the only reason why the city is still standing-a way of subtly attacking spiderman. he says he's jealous of spiderman-says he can never measure up-sad thing is that he's wrong. jameson could do just as much as spiderman by partnering up with him-feeding him info and-in situations like this-use his broadcast to keep the city strong while spiderman is taking care of the crisis out there.
Sabertooth He has. There's a comic where he does just that after learning Spider-Man's secret identity.
I find it gold that J Jonah trademarks and actually names Spider-Man's villians! He's done that in several iterations and its funny they did it for this one.

Jameson: What there's two Spider Mans!? SON OF A B (Cuts to commercial)!
And special cameo appearance of Spider Gwen.

Best Jameson line
We need jjj in this sheety world
Got to say that’s the main reason why I love Jamison this is because despite well everything about him being... you know triple J, deep down he’s a kind hearted person who loves the city and everyone in it
My favourite is the rhino one. "If there was a more secure cell, WHY WASN'T HE IN IT!!!"
Absolutely!!
Mine tooo
Not the "NAZI BEEEEEESSSSS!"
Nazi Bees is iconic
The Gamer Complex frankly given the amount of times villains have escaped from their prisons in the marvel universe the guards might as well put revolving doors on the cells, personally if I was mayor of New York I would try to get shocker and maybe rhino paroled for community service, they would be invaluable during a crisis, might even release tombstone, guy loves a challenge and there's nothing more challenging than an honest days work
Nearly 1 hour of JJJ, this a game with a budget alright
Jameson THE MOVIE
*coming soon*
I love that at least a few of his podcasts are actually uplifting and send a good message. He's an angry, irrational man; but he really does care.
i have a hard time believing he's genuine-likely a way to turn more people away from spider-man
@@SPIDERVENOM1000
I think that under his extremely petty hatred he has a lever of love for the city. But since he loves the city and the people so much and sees Spider-Man as a threat, that just feeds his hatred.

honestly it's a fair statement too XD
a valid point-i have to give him credit-when he wasn't blindly and ignorantly blaming spiderman for a cavity-he made some valid points-still, that doesn't means he's not trash.
To answer JJJ's question-he probably was in the most secure cell the first time. The Raft is just saying they're putting him into a more secure cell to make people feel more at ease.
meanwhile rhino still breaks out XD
Excellent stuff.
Probably my second-favourite take on Jameson. (Got myself a man-crush on J.K Simmons)
VelociFaptor sorry man it’s not J.K. Simmons much as wish he as in the game
@@456skye no he's saying j.k Simmons is the best but this guy is the second best.
Who is the VA for Jonah in this game? Troy Baker?
No shame in that. Simmons is still the quintessential Jameson.
Who's your favorite?
I was at first disappointed that it wasn’t JK Simmons, he’s made the role iconic with his voice and the pace he spoke with. But this one grew on me.
I love both voices just as much.
This one was pretty good I actually liked the voice acting
@@LordSasN1 no it wasn't, in Raimi's Trilogy it was Humberto Solorzano and in the game it was Carlos Segundo

For all his faults, in the end JJJ is the type of guy who would take a punch for the little guy.
As long as that little guy isn't Spider-Man, yes.
@@SinHurr nah, in the right context, even for Spider-Man
You know as a kid, I always thought JJ was too over the top.
But now, I've seen people that make him seem mild in comparison.
Yeah seriously. If Jonah was real, he wouldn't be all that bad compared to real crazy people.
LudicrousKid he would be the type of guy that goes against crazy sjws.
And accuse Spiderman an nazi or whatever.
Uh.. This guy created the Scorpion and the Fly (yes a fly-human hybrid) to kill Spidey. Then there are the 20 or so different killer robots called Spider-Slayers.
The guy is arguably Spider-man's first villian. The only difference is that unlike Lex Luthor, deep, deep, deep, deep down he knows that Spider-man is a true hero and that he is just a jealous because he can never be someone like him.
Waifu Croc I don't really see Jonah as a crazy sexist @$$hole. I see him as a crazy vigilante hater, but not a crazy sexist @$$hole.
@@xanderm6090 Yeah, he's not left-wing or right-wing. His only really consistent position is "Spidey's a menace."
The funny thing about this is that Jonah Jameson in the comics is a radio show person now as well but he is the opposite now because he now works with Peter/Spider-man to stop crime in the city using his old connections and position as a radio show host now ever since he learned Peter is Spiderman as atonement for all the wrongs he did towards Peter.
He still lost everything though and took a heavy fall before that since all his love ones are dead and he lost any good reputation and relationship he had left until he changed his way and became Peter's partner for gathering information on criminal activity within the city.
Damn, this sounds awesome.
Yet another reason I wish I read comics. Goddamn adulthood.
VelociFaptor so if you’re an adult you can’t read comics? You sound really dumb.
@@AustinNGrayson More like not much time for reading comics...

Punished J. Jonah Jameson, a man deprived of his pictures of Spiderman.
49:10 can we just appreciate how in this one and only moment absolutely *right* JJJ is!
I'm surprised he actually adviced him.
That was quite surprising.
He’s kinda right but at the same time Spiderman has ALWAYS looked for the good in people, that’s why he gave Black Cat a chance. Not because she was hot but because he wanted her to do good for people and he believed she could change
sometimes he actually makes some good points...
A broken clock is right twice a day.
Caden "Could spider Man...BE EATING PIGEONS!? DOSE HE HAVE A GIANT WEB FULL OF PIGEONS FOR HIS CONSUMPTION!?!?"
If you fail some of the QTE's in the game, it acts as validation for the things he says. If Spidey does one little thing wrong, he does indeed cause more death and destruction than he prevents.
Nazis made of BEES!
If there’s a more secure cell...WHY WASN’T HE IN IT?!?!?!?!
Gotta love how he goes on about how Spider-Man should leave crime to the police, and when he does that JJ rags on him for not stopping crime

You just can't please Jameson.
Even if Spider-Man helps the cops against superpowered people where they can't handle them but he can Jonah still says "He's showing off."
The people blame Spiderman when the police or Sable got robbed.
There are only two things that would EVER please J.Jonah Jameson:

2. Getting all of Spider Man's fame and glory.
@@lucasclement9368 He actually felt guilty when Spider-Man quit in Spider-Man 2.
@@randomduck8679 But then Spider Man returned and JJJ instantly went back to hating him.

WHAT WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN WHERE A VIGILANTE RUINS A BUSINESS AND RUINS MY MILK?! AND I DON'T EVEN DRINK MILK BECAUSE I AM LACTOSE INTOLERANT!!"
Exactly why does he have a hate boner for spiderman
Miguel Martinez There’s a couple of reasons.
Early in the comics, Jameson’s astronaut son is returning to orbit, when a ship malfunction almost causes a crash. Spider-Man stepped in and saved his son from death. Rather than being grateful for not losing his own son, Jameson somehow convinced himself that Spider-Man’s act of bravery was nothing more than a show of vanity. He felt that Spider-Man stole his son’s glory.
He’s deeply jealous of Spider-Man. In one issue, he has an inner monologue, where he talks about how insignificant he feels compared to Spider-Man. Jameson may have accomplished a lot in his life, but Spider-Man is the hero he can never become.
It could also be that he’s just a self-righteous, narcissistic, arrogant prick.
I got to say, JJ makes some very good points
Eh? I mean, he's not wrong,
Some of what JJJ says about Spidey is complete nonsense. But some of what he said are either good points or points that, spideyhateboner aside, do have some merit to it.
Unless you think him saying "Kids, don't do what Spider-Man does or you'll die." or bringing up that some of Spider-Man's actions do have negative consequences (He did also predict that Fisk being sent to jail effectively led to 3 factions trying to take over the city more or less) are 100% nonsense.
Again, JJJ's hate boner is insane for Spider-Man. But he makes reasonable points on occasion.
Jameson was right about Norman taking too much credit for police bringing down crime and entrepreneurs improving the economy.
He made a good point about why Rhino wasn't already in a more secure cell, not wanting to waste tax money on Vulture's self-inflicted cancer, and having Electro power the Raft to save tax money.
"Why does a prison have an infirmary, if they get sick let nature take its course" XD harsh but good point
Barely makes any good points.
RP “What if he injures someone, hm? Who holds him accountable?”
“I’m not saying he never does anything good, I’m saying he causes more problems than he solves”
“And why my dear friend, should YOU have to follow these rules, and not him?”
This makes for one hell of a compelling podcast. JJJ runs the gamut from paranoid to furious to sidesplitting to compassionate and even to, occasionally, truthful. Had fun listening to this peek into the MU. Thanks for the upload.

This is how you make a rather annoying character really good in a game. JJ Jameson isn’t too obnoxious without adding a bit of humor.
39:46 I love that moment. In all of his egocentric and arrogant ways he gives Spider-Man credit. It shows that in his own way he has a heart. It may lead to an actual friendship like in the modern comics or just a mutual respect. I'd assume that's why he's no longer with the Daily Bugle, and relegated to hosting a podcast online. It's believable that people still listen to him though; if Trump can still have die-hard supporters this far into his presidency, I don't see why Jamison would be any different.

I like how the game makes it so that Jonah (At least from an outsider's perspective) actually does have a point.
Obviously we're shown everything from Peter's perspective, So we're on his side, But as a normal person without that level of insight it would be pretty easy to see a masked man wearing spandex showing up calling himself a hero, And then randomly these superpowered individuals that never existed before also conveniently show up for him to fight.
He's clearly an egomaniac, but there is a sense of sincerity. Pretty close to how he was in the comics actually (At least some of them).

Why can’t spider-man just one day appear at the Bugle and talk things out with J Jonah Jameson?
As much as Jameson hates Spider-Man, he does have a few points. Because Spider-Man wears a mask, if any accidents or deaths occur as a result of his actions or while he's in the process of helping someone, he can't be held culpable and face appropriate legal retribution because no one knows who he is. Additionally, he has no certified rescue training, so he can potentially make a situation worse.
Sure, it's funny to hear Jameson rant about how much of a menace Spider-Man is, and we know that Spider-Man is going to ultimately save the day. But from a real world perspective, Jameson does have a valid point that Spider-Man can't address without unmasking or showing Jameson his character over time. It's not the kind of thing that can be fixed with one afternoon talk.
In the comics he actually has. JJ lost basically everything from the bugle to all his loved ones. And started up a podcast like this one, and at one point he and peter sat down hashed everything out and got him to see he wasnt a menace
BlueMageDanny I understand what you’re saying
In the TAS while we know that Spider-Man would’ve never acted on his threat, he did threaten him in the Daily Bugle. That would scare anyone.
My problem is he only seems to research half of anything. From the looks of it, the police were preparing to take down Fisk for a while now and Spider-Man just helped. Blaming Spider-Man for the power vacuum just screams vendetta.
@@pn2294 that's because JJ only goes looking for Spidey's involvement in the situations, he will overlook or ignore most of the real facts as long as he can twist the facts to suit his agenda

39:46 BEST! ONE! EVER!
see that? he jus said the city is mine. an then tired to correct himself. that's it! he slipped up. it shows JJJ does really jus want all eyes on him. hes a fame junkie.
i remember one of the early ones where he's talking about spiderman using the towers to spy on people and the only way to fight him was to tune in to JJJ's show lol.
I mean from JJ's view, i can understand the slip up. I mean, The authorities have failed on all levels, the citizens of the city are crying out in fear and anger and the NDC might not be able to save the city in time before everyone dies. In his eyes, the solution to this problem largely relied on him to keep the populace calm and compliant with the NDC quarentine, As well as advise citizens on what to do and how to do it. Hell he even told the citizens what to do in case the pmc's decided to abuse their powers. He was reasonable and kept a large portion of the city safe with just his show and advice. By the end of it, he must have thought that almost all authority was untrustworthy and only he and his connections could be trusted.

Jonah not blaming the bombing on Spider-Man might’ve been the nicest thing he’s ever said about him.
(I know he retracts that’s statement later on but still)
3:36 Most of his enemies were criminals long before Peter Parker became Spider-Man and would have still been criminals even if he hadn't.
I would like to have JJ get phone calls from some of Spidey's superhero buddies, like Captain America, Iron Man, The Thing, Wolverine, and Deadpool.
Jameson would at least respect Cap for his services in WWII, argue with Stark about how he takes the law into his own hands while having no previous combat experience, Wolverine would need a lot of restraint so to not gut him, and I don't even want to think about him talking to Deadpool.
If spider man saves people, j Jonah is like “he only cares about glory”
If he doesn’t save people “ he doesn’t care” like wtf
There's no pleasing the always loudmouthed Triple J, especially when it comes to Spider-Man
"My name is J. Jonah Jameson, and these are my 83 reasons why"
18:13 is my favourite one.
Kinda surprised that in this Marvel Modern Age, there are no characters who have their own blog that praise Spider-Man and call Jameson a liar and slanderous douche who attacks Spider-Man
It would be Star lord(when he figures out how to use the Internet) , Iron Man , and Ant Man
I'm sure there is someone who does that.
@@guymine1233 Nah, it must be Flash Thompson, Number 1 Spider-Fan.
i think there are, i think he mentioned that quite a few people send him hate online
There's actually a Twitter thread in the pause menu that has regular people talking about Spiderman and how great he is.
Imagine JJJ in the next game reacting to another Spider-Man (Miles)
*"ANOTHER SPIDERMAN?!??!?"*
for number 13, his son is in the airforce. no offense to his son, but what would he have him do? come in with a jet or chopper an blow that other chopper up an have chunks of flaming metal raining down on people? spider-man caught it with his webs and stopped it.
Sean Mager his son is an astronaut not in the air force.
Gotham Savior... well hes says airforce in this. jus going with what he said. and people who become astronauts are in the airforce 1st.
regardless-same point
@Sean Mager. In the comics Spider-Man saved Jameson's son John when one of John's trips into space went wrong but Jonah accused Spider-Man of sabotaging it to look like a hero by saving John. And at another point he complained about John being taken off a talk show so Spider-Man could be on it even though of course a hero who actually does good for the world is going to get more publicity than a guy who just goes to space a lot.

J. Jonah Jameson: ThIs Is iLlEgAl, ComPLEtElY iNsAnE
so JJ is just the Alex Jones of Marvel?
Ha! Alex Jones is the JJ of our universe.
I love to hate JJJ and his stubborn unjust hatred of Spidey.
It's all that pent-up sexual frustration towards Spidey.
No matter how arrogant, angry, or egocentric JJJ is, he’s still one of the most iconic, funny, and entertaining characters in all of Spider-Man, and ultimately he’s a good person who makes valid points sometimes. He cares about his city, and believes wholeheartedly that Spider Man is hurting it.
44:42 is the funniest one hands down 😂😂😂
GET RID OF EM
You know, considering just how severe the situation got, how responsible Osborn was, and how much JJJ milked it, I can't shake the feeling that the sequel's gonna have Mayor Jameson. That means the Anti-Spider Task Force.
A nightmare of which the the galaxy has never before seen.
That would be interesting...
Fun fact, in Into the Spider-verse there's an unused billboard (i THINK it was unused at least, one of the artists of the movie posted it along some that apeared) that was about J.J running for mayor.
I just beat the game 100%, ending with the main story. Just before I turned off the game, an episode of Just The Facts came on and it felt so oddly satisfying hearing Jameson say just five little words...
"Spider-Man got it right."
The one where he talks about rhino in prison was completely true. Why the hell wasn’t rhino in that more secure cell to begin with if they had it? Do they want him to escape?
God I want to see Spider-Man actually call in and dispute him or debate him directly. The number of clicks that would get JJJ would make him want Peter to keep on calling in.
Jameson is a riot, I love his rants lol
I love how much personality Jared has despite us almost never hearing his voice (except in the very first podcast) and never seeing his face
The greatest villain in comicbook history.
:P
They missed the mark by not hiring Alex Jones for this character.
so-first he says he doesn't blame spiderman for the bombing-but a few seconds later-he proceeds to do just that. i can't trust a word that comes out of his mouth.
he later goes full out agasint spiderman when he learned it was the demons who did the bombing
@@brandonwithnell612 I know I sound really stupid because logic really doesn't apply here-but how in the hell has this imbecile stayed in the news business? I know there's no logical answer-but it's a question you simply can't help but ask
he talks about the destruction caused by spiderman's fights......yet, he wants to weaponize rhinos to fight the rhino........................................HUH????
that could very well wreck the entire city beyond repair! sigh-i suppose i shouldn't be surprised-he DID create one of the super villains, after all.
@Chibiardo I think Jameson is so desperate for some kind of dirt-he actually wants spiderman to kill him-I truly believe that
