Val, I am a member of the local chapter of the National Ladies Homesteader Gathering; we have the largest chapter in the nation, and the meetings, events and focus is just what you have been stressing recently: self-sufficiency, less commercialism, preparedness, cooking, sewing, canning and preserving, farming, animal husbandry, gardening, etc. We are grateful for your teaching, recipes and tips for a healthier home and lifestyle.
Yes, please let us know if you have a website as I would be very interested in seeing what y’all do because I believe in what you’re saying and doing as well, just like Val! Thank you! Julia , Laurel, Mississippi
Yes! Here’s the way I make them. Let me know if your recipe is different. I love to try new things! ua-cam.com/video/47Zr4HGTtSU/v-deo.htmlsi=curJ2VppZ9ixDMRv
I just love you, Val, and sweet Hunter! I’m so glad I found your videos! You are the sweetest thing and you just bring joy to my life and I just wanted to say thank you for that. I’m gonna try to make these potato rolls because you made it seem so easy. I’ve never done homemade bread or biscuits well, but seeing you do these potato rolls, and I’ve seen a video of your biscuits. I’m going to give it a try! And I just have a sneaking suspicion that your sweet way of teaching and care and what you do is gonna make me be able to make those rolls and biscuits! And by the way, I like the layered salad recipe too, and I’m gonna try that as well. So thank you Val! Keep up the great work! And you keep cooking something so we can learn from you! God bless you! Julia , Laurel, Mississippi.
Looks delish, and I have to try this yeast roll recipe! So nice to meet your friends, I love Javetta's (spelling)hair! I want to go natural but I am scared. LOL
I never got the notification for your salad. Ill go watch now! Oh those rolls look divine! Cant go wrong with baked tater! SH's strippers looked great too! I mean NY strips! Wink wink
I had a fire in my oven yesterday so I won’t be baking anything for a while , but I have an air fryer that I can use in the meantime if necessary! I bought a deep dish cast iron that I made an apple crisp in , I should have put it on the pan , instead of the pan on the shelf beneath it , because the handle was slippery and I dumped the apple crisp in the oven and couldn’t get in the vent to clean it , so when I turned the oven cleaner on it started the oven on fire and I couldn’t get the smoke detector to shut off and I made a yuge mess in my kitchen, and this I why some people just should be allowed in the kitchen ! I just do better with making simple things , but I admire your love for cooking ❤️ 🥧 🥘 Trail mix is a survival food that’s good too ! If we end up with a grid down , I think a sun oven is a good option too
Oh my goodness😮. That sounds like I would do 😂😂. Yeah, simple is good. Happy to know you didn’t burn down the house as somethings are hard to explain to a firefighter 🧑🚒. 😂😂
It was kinda scary , yuge flames in the oven and the smoke detector going off makes me re think - “y’all go cook something “ But I will always love Our Forever Farm 🏡 ❤️
Second time I’ve watched you make these rolls, you make it seem so easy…61 and never been able to roll out a eatable biscuit or roll, so gonna get with my son who wants to learn how to make yeast rolls and give it a try, will let you know how it turns out! Val you are such an encourager for all ages of women and men, we are never too old to learn something new!👋👋🫶🙏
I am so with you! Every role I’ve made or bread or biscuits is kind of like Ellie Mae biscuits! But Val does make it seem easy and so encouraging. I’m definitely going to give it a try! I hope you and your son are successful and that sounds like a neat thing to do! God bless you! Julia , Laurel, Mississippi.
