BROOOO, I really loved that sneak peak of a track you made for moe's goof, and i would love it if you released the track here. Wanna listen to it when playin league
Hi ! I have some questions to ask ^^ I recently decided to start making songs (mostly lo-fi oriented style) and I wanted to know where to start D: I'd be interested into a subreddit based on mixing to see if I can get some help over here. But to be honest, I'm frkn lost right now xD I don't know where to start, I've planned on buying a launchpad but is there any way I can mix without it ? Cuz' it would just to give it a try, even if I do think I'll love making songs once I'll be into it for real. But actually, I don't really know what to do :'( If you can help me in any way, even just a link to a subreddit, I would be so thankfull !
Yea sure. First see what DAW you want to use or can afford. Everybody and they mommas use FL Studio but see what you'd like. I'd say stay away from hardware (like launchpad) until you got a decent ass foundation on your software knowledge and really you don't need hardware to mix now a days with all these plug-ins. I use Ableton and that alone took me a LONG ass time to get used to and comfortable with. Lo-Fi is good genre to start off in as its mix and mastering doesn't require too much brain. Really its all about the ear. Having a good ear is the main root to producing imo. Check out vxnylrules on YT that's where I learned most of my mixing skills. He uses Ableton like me but most of his techniques can be translated to other DAWs. Hope this helps! Let me know if something is still unclear :)
