That's because you only see that shit in the combo montages made about Zackray. WaDi plays rob how he should be played, defensively. Zackray catches players off guard with his aggressive af playstyle, which means he has to learn and perfect those combos. As a rob main, WaDi simply played the most optimal way he could. In terms of burner boost, Goblin never recovered high so its use is meaningless, if you're giving up stage control in the process, gyro set ups are too complicated and specific against a character like roy with no omega stages so Goblin is able to close the gap very easily. Most of the issue is that you can't just spawn a gyro in your hands, it has to be shot and then picked up. The only way to spawn it in your hands is to shoot the gyro at the wall off the side of the stage and grab it as it bounces back.
FrogChip not gonna argue that but I don’t think I’ve EVER seen wadii burner boost in any video . Is it just not his style ? The top set ups ?? I get it’s an aggressive style , he’s just a defensive player yes ?
Beyond Google That’s what I’m saying. Zackray May look better but their skill is quite equal, WaDi plays rob properly and by doctrine while Zackray plays hyper offensively, it works because people don’t expect it to
Its actually a good mixup, stalls rob in the air so even if goblin didn't jump, goblin would've expected some sort of landing and went for a grab/aerial to the left or right of the platform, he went for the up air anticipating that WaDi landed on the platform, but WaDi did the dair expecting that move and also due to how safe of a position dair would put him in. It wasn't greed, it was skill.
@@frogchip6484 he used dair to challenge rob's getup. Falling up air does it better. Infact falling up air is how he won game 2 at the corner. Falling Up-air->Jab->Bair.
@@BenjerminGaye sorry im stupid. Didn't read your original comment. Thought you meant wadi's dair over the platform to cover roy's up air in game 1. Apologies
Woah! Final stock was intense!
5:06 "If that was chrom that woulda killed just saying" Yeh and Chrom also would have sd'ed from it lol
Actually I don't think so,Soaring Slash has great magnet hands and obviously goes far vertically. Think he would have made it back.

Not big enough to stop Dunkey, that's for sure
So big even he can't lift it.
8:09 that moment almost cost WaDi the game, that was the rhythm reset apegoblin needed.
Has anyone else noticed that WaDi never loses?
When I play rob I feel like I’m always spamming side b lol

Damn... that was some amazing commentating.
Wanted Goblin to win
I wonder why wadi doesn’t use things like burner boost , or try to do more gyro set ups like zackray

Beyond Google yes, as I said he had no use for it on a small map and his defensive playstyle
FrogChip yeah I know zackray is the better player but I still think wadii plays ROB the way he’s supposed to be played

WaDi is sick
Goblin looks like a Baki character, maybe Baki himself
the no mix up mix up coming from wadi
Wadi really rolled in every single time and won the game
