African Americans please come home to Africa. The media will never show this beautiful ❤️ Africa to you.
Not all of the African countries are save to go. Remember that These people are still westerners if something happen to them they will blame the whole Africa for it.
@@kwabenatree I know, I wouldn't invite them to Nigeria. I only meant Ruwanda because that was the video I was watching when I made the comment.
@@OH5311883 I know, but you were blaming the Media. They are part of the media too.
Kwabena Tree America is not safe for Black people. FYI.
A lot of Africans today are so westernised too.
love her stories, however; wanted to highlight on her statement towards the end, please don't take that as a fact and run, Dogs and Cats are still considered domestic pets in Africa just like everywhere else, (there may be some random one off group of people or tribes or so that happen to eat them), but please note this is definitely not the norm and is actually frowned upon and seen as weird even in Africa!
True
You are right...Akans, twi speaking people of which I am (Ghana) do not eat Cats and dogs. I don’t know which tribe of people eat her dog/cat... but generally in Ghana people do not eat these domesticated animals
@CJ J while i appreciate your "common sense" statement, please be aware that this media output is going out globally, one of the main aims of these diaspora channels such as unapologetic nomads is to highlight Africa to the west to change it's already poorly portrayed image.
I too wish i didnt have to say what i did, it should be common sense, but trust me, there are people out there that still mistake Africa for "papau new Guinea natives" or "sentinel island tribes" as these are some of the images still shown to the west and they aren't even African!
So to start saying we eat domestic pets, some ignorant people may start thinking that is on the menu at every local restaurant or something silly. With Africa you have to really educate people at times, i do my little to specifics to reduce the damage, even if i only reach one person.
Some trip in Nigeria eat DOGS. I think Calabar people in Nigeria
@@dotunn that's a waste of time because ignorant people will think with a one track mind anyway. People that are open thinkers will know this is not everywhere. Just like here in usa we know some people eat pigs or snakes and some here look at it as an abomination. We know it's not everyone that do. There are some pple who do not eat any meat at all (vegans) and some others may find that strange.
Good to see Mother Africa in Rwanda
Lol am born in Ghana 🇬🇭.raise, lives in Canada 🇨🇦 but Unapologetic jus transform my soul into Rwanda.. Mama Afrika Inspires Many kids ,Ppl overseas ,I refused to use that white name on my passport& thanks 😊🥰🗣Unapologetic nomads💋
I am enjoying the hell out of watching this video. IMAHKUS is the reason I'm moving to Rwanda! So glad that she has made it there. She told me about all the positive aspects of Rwanda in November, 2018 when I visited her One Africa Resort. I researched the country and decided 'yep' this is the place for me. Actively purging and planning to move there mid-2021. Thank you, IMAHKUS!
so when are you coming back to Ghana?
Debra, did you get a response from anyone. I am in kilgali and no connection to anyone from diaspora here
Sister and this channel is a reason that I am here....unfortunately noone as yet responded and I'll be returning home soon. It's been a wonderful trip!
Have you moved yet @plastichouselady?
THIS IS THE AFRICA THEY DON'T SHOW ON TV, YOU GUYS ARE DOING A GREAT JOB!! KEEP IT COMING!
WOW!!!! LOOK AT SIS. IMAHKUS IN RWANDA.
She went from living in a home with no electricity or running water to having this beautiful home. Wow!
This is Queen is what Ole School Harlem Swag looks like!!! I am so glad you guys were able to connect with her! She's a real ONE God Bless Her!
💯
Hey!!! Mrs. 1 Africa!!!👏👏👏👏 So used to seeing her in Ghana. This was a delightful surprise.
The camera man did a fantastic job, very professional and a great interview.
You can’t get this quality content just anywhere. As always you guys are consistently producing amazing content. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you so much for bringing your experiences into our homes. Giving is what we need to make informed decisions. Continue being great unapologetic nomads.
Wow, thank you! 💯❤
Great interview...I enjoyed this too.
Again, another broad generalization by her and I am getting pissed off with her erroneous remarks. The fact of the matter is that in the main, people in Ghana do not eat cats and dogs. Those who eat these animals are in the minority; a particular tribe, for example. It should be pointed out most people keep these animals as pets in the house or in the case of some dogs, guard dogs that sleep outside and provide additional security to home owners. I hope unapologetic nomads are not beginning to think that Ghana is some backward country, as she at times makes broad generalizations and inaccurate statements. Whilst, one is talking about cats and dogs, it is commonplace in parts of China to find people who eat cats and dogs and is a delicacy.
N a whole lot worse did hpn in Rwanda too that one might cringe to listen to bro, bhnd all the veneer of civility & social decorum! But they've preserved & made a positive change! We shdn't be affected about what she says about her experiences in Ghana, warts & all. That's a smidgen of what she knows about Ghana. I wouldn't be ashamed to be part of that tribe/s. Hey!! What's good for the goose may absolutely be poison for the gander!!
She's so beautiful and wise. I admire this beautiful Queen so much. I know you all enjoyed being in her presence!
will you like to visit Ghana?
Can we please link up?
@@nasto4u850 😏😏
@@nasto4u850 Damn bro 😂😂😂
The Queen is fluent in Jamaican Patois.
Yeah she’s 💯
I am sorry to said this , but she is not honest with the dog eating . The overwelming majority of african don t eat dog or cat. Some people in some tribes people who belong to some secret society or sect do eat cat , dog . Its a spiritual thing one has to be iniated.
She was referring to where she lived in Ghana at the time, not all Africa.
You are right...Akans, twi speaking people of which I am (Ghana) do not eat Cats and dogs. I don’t know which tribe of people eat her dog/cat... but generally in Ghana people do not eat these domesticated animals
Never heard of dog eating in Africa ever. But have heard of dogs disappearing whenever, wherever Chinese road builders appear
Please name the tribe in any African County that eat cats and dogs coz am from Uganda and thats definitely not on any menu
@@georgeikinya2779 😂
In Rwanda eating Dogs and Cats is kinda illegal. Like for a restaurant to sell that to clients it's a big shutdown.
Unless you request for exclusivity and make sure people eat it while they're aware.
bro it's illegal ,period.
what you talking about..
Not all Africans eats dogs or cats 🐈 🐕
You are right...Akans, twi speaking people of which I am (Ghana) do not eat Cats and dogs. I don’t know which tribe of people eat her dog/cat... but generally in Ghana people do not eat these domesticated animals
She can make somebody forget what he was doing because of her stories 😭😭😭❤️
So true !!!🤣😂
@@charlimcneal5992 she’s funny 😹😹
She is a strong smart lady. Love her and what she has done on the continent. Beautiful home and place! I hope to get the chance to meet her one day🙏❤️❤️❤️
Mama Imahküs is still going strong and looks vibrant for her age 😍. I plan to visit her shop in Ghana. I knew her apartment was going to be da bomb when I saw the shoe rack outside the door.
That's a huge house and not an apartment.
Protect this woman at all costs❤️
Why are there so many comments rejecting the eating of dogs and cats? Are you vegan or vegetarian? If you're not, ask yourself why you're creating hierarchies of animals.
I love One Afrika in Ghana. You are with an African Queen. A Sage, philosopher. A true Pan Africanist. Ambassador extraordinaire. Please remain absolutely, unapologetically nomadic and visit One Afrika in Ghana.
Greetings Unapologetic Nomad, this is huge, momma Imahkus living in Rwanda 🇷🇼 now. She moved from Ghana 🇬🇭 to Rwanda, this speaks volumes as I was thinking of moving to Ghana, however I have changed my mind seeing momma Imahkus there in Rwanda. Thanks so much for sharing as Rwanda is now on my relocation list.
I was all the way into her story until she said “oh yeah they eat dogs” 😳 some people eat alligators in America that doesn’t mean “THEY” eat gators... don’t do that 👆🏾
You are a ghanaian
Wow, didn't know she was living in Rwanda.
Assalamu Alaikum
"We didn't have water or electricity for about 4 or 5 years." I commend you . I'm good on that. Not trying to make that type of sacrifice away from my family.
Love her...we visited one africa 2 years ago it was a wonderful experience
Me, too, in November, 2018. Such a wonderful experience.
W0w that a beautiful house wow this is Africa the media don't show u. The media be like no houses no foods no cars people sleeping in trees hahahah.
Mama Africs IMAHKÜS, what an inspiration to hear you talking!
What a blessing for our people of Rwanda, people of Africa to have you back in your father's land!
Amazing upload, this was EPIC 💯🙌🏾 Thanks for sharing ‼
Absolutely your best interview or the best interview of her ever. No way someone can top this
Omgggg!!- love her 😂😂😂 "im not looking for niggas!"😂😂
🤣
She saying that there was no water and airconditioners in Ghana is erroneous. She makes it sound like the entire Ghana did not have water and airconditioners at that time. She is probably referring to a specific town or area she was living ar the time. For the record, I am from Ghana and I have also lived in the States.
She used to live in Cape coast
@@Ghanadiaries I know she lives in Cape Coast, as I have seen her being interviewed by ES and other vloggers. I had know idea she had moved to Rwanda. Evidently, she now plans to live permanently in Rwanda. I really do not appreciate the way she erroneously portrayed Ghana when she was talking about the lack of water, airconditioners and eating of cats and dogs, without putting her narration in the proper context. Quite honestly, she was appalling in that regard.
@@denniscasely-hayford3245 You have not put it in the proper context either, which is curious, as you are appalled by the omission. When you make a complaint, educate. If you have information you would like people to know about dogs and cats, like the fact that they are normally consumed as part of religious proceedings, let people know. You could point out the cultural basis for the practice. Highlight the peoples and area where the practice is prevalent. And so on. This way, people learn more about Ghana. All you've done is throw out negative energy, and this is why people seem to be missing your message. You did not fill your message with positive education. If you don't wish to educate, that's a satisfactory position. But at that point you no longer should be surprised that people do not have information you refused to provide.
@@backtotheoldway6964 I do not have the time and energy to delve into salient details and provide information on the specifics of cat and dog eating in Ghana. So to your point, I do not want to educate. However, I succinctly stated that it is not a pervasive practice among the entire people of Ghana, which her statement appeared to suggest. It is a fact that there are certain tribes that indeed eat cats and dogs in Ghana, as do in other countries. Her abject broad generalization is my bone of contention, as she could have been contextual in opinining on the subject matter.
@@Ghanadiaries but in 1987 Cape Coast had water. There was no city or large town that didn't have water since the days of Nkrumah. Maybe it was in the specific locality she found her self at the time. As far as I know Kumasi had never had water problem that she seems to allude to
yes mama African a.k.a I like your youtube tv shows
Ghanaian watching you from the Uk. Really amazing for a our Royal family to be back home.

Yep they counted how many coconut trees I had when I sold my land it’s ridiculous but oh well. But the open gate thing that was her decision I grew up there and all I remember is fenced and hedges and not taking things without asking ......
You did it again nice video I learned a lot! Can't wait for part 2.
I'm confused, does she live in Rwanda or Ghana.
Rwanda
Does she moved?
It sounded like Michelle said apartment. Is this an apartment or a house?
IMAHKUS is such a storyteller, loved listening to her, what a great life she has been fortunate to have, beautiful home, and IMAHKUS has such a joyful young spirit and has accomplish much with her beautiful resort, One Africa in Ghana, her objective to get her people to come back home to Africa, speaks volumes of her luv and dedication to us all, long live IMAHKUS❤️
We need part 2 asap on why she left Ghana
Good neighborhood with nice properties.. Nice sights and sounds of Kigali. She is well traveled, she gives a good perspective of the world from the developed nations and the developing emerging nations.
So relate to calling for a job and going for the interview reaction
I definitely enjoyed this video, so refreshing to watch and waiting for part 2. I am love the Mother of Africa and I would love to meet her. She is beautiful and so fun to listen to, keep that content coming. I am Rwandan and I dont see this kinda content online

I love mother Africa, watched her video with Wode Maya. Love her spirit. Love from🇰🇪. Thanks for the insights on Rwanda
this bring tears but it is so lovely to see this side of africa.
Great video. It reminded me of how great it would be for Africans in the Diaspora (slave descendants) to know their real last names. If you're interested or you know of someone who would be interested in finding their last name, there is a gentlemen who knows how to obtain the last name of someone who has lost their original last name. It can take time to get the last name sometimes.
Jamaican influence everywhere... got to love it...a little dot on the map..YES I

What a wonderful interview. My family reacts the same way when I say I’m leaving for Africa. She was a true delight.
security's
This is crazy! Even though the US has many millions of luxury mansions, they're far beyond the reach of many of our people. The neighborhood where these mansions are is no-go areas where many couldn't see these homes and appreciate them.
I'm not saying many black people are not living in luxury mansions in some secluded areas, but those are just pockets of neighborhoods in a sea of luxury neighborhoods where pale people live.
If this form of marginalization continues, the life of many of our people locked up in old neighborhoods built in the 1950s and beyond, are going to be experiencing a life of a "fourth world" in the US and will be in awe anytime they visit Africa.
Modernity, affordability, and availability of spacious land are allowing average homes in Africa where we live to dwarf many homes white Americans had built with cheap materials and sold to Americans including the majority of our people, especially in urban America.
What is going on in Africa is going to give my people something to compare their living standard with and in return will get busy to show America that you can not keep us in sub-standard living because we're born "royal", and perhaps start to build our own houses in the US instead of letting pale people build them with cheap material and sell them to us to make a huge profit?
Pretty-ful Rwanda......
Thanks for sharing!!!
