ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response it is described as a pleasurable tingling sensation that can be felt most commonly in the back of the scalp and down the spine but not limited to these area's.
I try to describe ASMR experience to people using something common like visiting a hairdresser, do you find the experience of someone focusing on you, the gentle touching of your hair, the sound of the scissors moving around you relaxing?
That would be a relaxing experience, watching ASMR video is like recreating that type of experience.
I believe most people can experience ASMR, to experience ASMR you need to find you trigger, common triggers will often be related to one person focusing on you or another person and watching this person focus or give them attention will trigger it.

Almost anything can be a "trigger' for a persons ASMR everybody is different, you just have to find yours.

This guy has the best ASMR channel on UA-cam. I just find all of the weird kidnapping and boyfriend/girlfriend roleplay bullcrap to be a little uncomfortable.

The intro with all the inaudible "speaking" is amazing and it always works great for me, even though it's rather short. I don't know if you have already, but making a whole video based on that would be amazing. :3

The first minute or so I got the most tingles, that really quiet whisper and hand gestures got me.
The super quiet whisper things are called unintelligible whispers if you want to look them up, and as for the hand gestures I think they're just called visuals. I don't know, I just watch these because I find them interesting, I don't actually experience ASMR; I might be wrong about the names of those triggers because of that but I think I'm right.

The first 2 minutes is the best part. Just the sound of barely whispering and small movements is more relaxing than anything else.

The combination of the hand movements, the quiet whispers and just the brief samples of the sounds themselves is absolutely perfect. I'm a huge fan and I listen to your videos almost every night. I noticed someone in the past comment said exactly what I was thinking. The first minute or so of this video is highly relaxing. Just the mouth movements and hand gestures. Not even full whispers. I got huge amounts of tingle from that and I think it would make a great video. Keep doing the things you do!

This might a stretch of a request, but silent hand gestures are a strong trigger for me. Someone should put up an asmr sign language-type video. Considering there are probably not many asmr artists who know sign language, that might be a bit of a stretch for a request. But the hand gestures certainly are great. Those hand light show things would be nice too, but with no lights on the hands, so its just the motion of the hands.
It's amazing how a 9 year old video is still capable to give me tingles. Thank you.
