As a guy i’m sure I’d catch hell from my family and friends for doing wall pilates but I’m 55 and I feel great after only a couple days of doing this! I always kept myself in shape when I was young and let myself go over the years. This is an excellent way of regaining flexibility, stamina, stance and strength. I actually can’t wait for my next session! Thank you Rachel!
You can tell anyone who gives you flack for doing pilates to try it themselves and _then_ judge. It's amazing for body and mind regardless of age or gender so do you, Gary!!

It’s so great to find something that I can do at any energy level, when I’m struggling with PMS or maybe haven’t slept well, or haven’t eaten enough or been working too hard. Better to do something like this every day rather than struggle to do a different kind of workout every so often. I had a dance teacher that used to do the same warm-up with every level of class and she always said you work the warm-up, my top level students sweat during this warm-up because the better you get at it, the harder you can make it work for yourself. It’s so great to have a workout that you can control like that, that you can engage the muscles harder and with more intensity the stronger they get.
That’s such a great point! Yes focusing and moving with control can make the simplest movements much more of a challenge! So glad these workouts fit will for u

I have struggled with my weight and rough PMS symptoms for the last couple of years. I really love this workouts and the momentum they make me feel. On day 15, I am able to feel I have better coordination when bending, better mobiliy and my PMS symptoms are not taking over me. Did I mention how energized you feel after each workout, like a rush to keep doing more 😅. Thanks Rachel you have changed my life ❤.
I used this workout to prepare for anterior hip replacement surgery. It made a big difference in my recovery. I am now starting again as part of my PT. Thanks for this.
Just completed Day 3, and feeling a little discouraged by how difficult these are for me. I try with all my strength, but it's very painful. I know it's because I haven't consistently worked out, so I just have to keep pushing. Even if I do less than the standard, eventually I'll get there with practice. I'm just proud of myself for making it this far, and not spending all day in bed anymore.

Day 15 and I was able to button pants that I couldn’t 15 days ago! I haven’t changed eating habits or my alternating yoga and walking. Loving these results! Thank you Rachel ❤

Day 3. Oooh, this was a tough one. I opted not to wear the ankle weights (thank goodness!) … at least not today. I did wear them for the arms. That last 10 second hold was challenging. Onward! 😊

Amazing 20 min. I was doing them without ankle weights, but i can still feel every muscle in my body (and I’m gonna feel more tomorrow for sure ahahahah).
Haha yes!! Love it! I know honestly the wall surprised me too.. they don’t train us much with the wall so when I started trying Pilates moves on the wall I’m like 🥵 it’s so much harder than I thought! Great way to up the challenge without equipment 🙌🏽 so glad u liked it too and thank u for your comment!
I did mat Pilates in my 40s and 50s and then moved to a new area. Studios here only offer the Reformer but that felt a little unsafe for me at 63 with osteoporosis. Wall Pilates is a perfect way to help decrease my steadily thickening middle. And this 28-day challenge is a great way to keep me accountable!! Day 3 in the books!
That’s fantastic! I’m glad to be your intro to Pilates! This is different from what you would find in a studio but it is based on those exercises, and hopefully if you enjoy this plan you can try other types of Pilates as well! 🙌🏽🙌🏽 proud of you for sticking to the plan!

Great question! As the glutes fatigue and they can’t keep us lifted, we press more to try to stay lifted, but the pressing ends up pushing us away from the wall. I see the same thing happen on the reformer. I would bet you are pressing into the wall firmly to be able to lift up more. Try to use the wall just for support and try not to press as firmly into it, even if that means you don’t lift up as much in your bridge. The more you do these workouts, the stronger your glutes will get and the easier it will be to stay lifted without coming away from the wall! You could also use a mat underneath if you weren’t using one. I hope that helps!
Day 15 (9th July 2024) Purchased the ankle weights to push the work out and wow that was noticeably harder, although that may also be the fact I have had PT session this evening as well!!! halfway through the challenge and am feeling very proud I have got this far!! Hi Rachel. I've just started wall pilates and after looking at HEAPS of videos, I love yours the most! I'm also doing HIIT on the rebounder so I find the pilates a great supplementary exercise. I'm in my 60's and have decided to get in shape and I'm feeling really good. Losing weight, toning and being healthy. Its never too late. Thanks Rachel....
Day 3 completed. I swear to god, i did not know if i could make it... post pregnancy i put up alot of weight and im 5feet tall weighing 85kg.. most of my fat is in my belly and thighs, so this workout was a real banger... but i made it, no pain no gain! Thank you Rachel, i am a very unfit person, but i could feel the difference from day 1 to now where I've gotten stronger and was able to push through! Much love!
Day 3 complete. I have been thin and fit my entire life, but moving to an extremely cold climate, I have become very sedentary the past few years and put on about 60 lbs. That's 60 lbs too much! I have really struggled with it and I'm ready to get back into shape. No excuses. After 4 years of barely moving my body enough at all, 3 days of wall plates has turned me into jello, but it's a good feeling!
I started the 28 Day Challenge on March 1st and quickly decided that I would turn it into an 84 Day challenge with ‘upping my game’ each round of 28 days by increasing the weights, more controlled movements and breathing, etc.. Today I’ve officially moved past the halfway mark!! Thank you Rachel for creating an exercise routine that I actually enjoy and don’t try to excuse my way out of like I’ve done so many times over the years LOL!!🤣😂🤣
I am on day 18, and so far, I am enjoying these exercises very much. Some days feel effortless, and a few of them appear harder, but I do feel the impact of them on my body. I do feel much better than when I started, and my flexibility has visibly improved. Thank you so much for this series. I tried some paid apps too, but I prefer to do my workout with you.
Day three (27.06.2024) here we go, thought my glutes might not take it after having done an early morning reformer class today but yay! even the 10 second hold at the end wasn't too bad!
Day 3🎉 i love how these workouts are so challenging but i look forward to them. Today was hard. It kicked my booty if im being honest, but it just makes me want to try harder and hopefully ill be able to work up to ankle weights/not taking so many breaks!

Doing the 28 day challenge! So after a month of repeating day 1 ab and glute burner.. I finally decided to do the challenge, I notice how much stronger I was getting!! 😊

This is my alltime favourite to do again workout, I always feel my upper abs and even my lower abs thanks to the weights. And a total body workout, even arms and glutes🍑. Please more of these weighted abs workouts Rachel, and thank you for all your work and dedication❤❤❤

Day2 wall Pilates challenge … oh my goodness …. I have been doing various exercises with weights for the past two or three months, but never have I really felt the burn in my arm muscles or seen any effect/improve in appearance - I had to drop to 3kg weights for this challenge because I could really feel it ! I enjoyed this routine so much that I can’t wait to do it again. Thank you Rachel for your message of encouragement yesterday - I really think this is going to make such a difference to me 😊
Day 3 ✅ Definitely challenging and need to work up to being able to stay lifted in a bridge for the one legged movements all in a row! Modified, but got it done!
Woooow! Just finished this 3rd day. Found the glute work very challenging! Perhaps because my muscles are sore from day 1. I always feel the pain 2 days after workout. I love these ab exercises; it protects the back, and the wall really helps! Im used to doing crunches without a wall. These are awesome!

Loving the workouts - I do these after a 30 min walk - I’m nursing a rotator cuff injury so these exercises are great for me - I just modify when it hurts my shoulder.
Today was tougher being a little sore and getting frustrated with some of the moves but I just kept telling myself that trying is better than nothing and by the end of the 28 days these moves will be familiar! 💪 day 3 done!
Im trying to do 2 days a week since i am doing 30m of dancing/cardio everyday already. Looking forward to day 4 (which i will get to in a couple days). Needed something to help with the areas that don't get as much attention with my cardio and whew, this has been tough already! Trying to get back into shape and healthy after having a baby 10 months ago. But i am hopefully going to start doing more days a week as i strengthen up. Very excited and pleased so far, cannot wait to do more!
Day 15 ✅ Doing 2-a-days this week to catch up on some days missed in order to finish the 28 days before I go out of town. This one is still the most challenging by far. I’m not using ankle weights, but the back to back single leg work is absolutely brutal! Still having to modify with either a bridge hold or moving from feet on the wall to the floor.

Just finished day 3 of 28 YT challenge I feel great today was a little tougher from day 1 and 2 but i feel like thats a good thing I broke a little sweat! I also am super excited because these are building my core like OT. I had to do a lot of core workouts and this feels similar fun and challenging!

I see the same thing happen on the reformer. I would bet you are pressing into the wall firmly to be able to lift up more. Try to use the wall just for support and try not to press as firmly into it, even if that means you don’t lift up as much in your bridge. The more you do these workouts, the stronger your glutes will get and the easier it will be to stay lifted without coming away from the wall! You could also use a mat underneath if you weren’t using one. I hope that helps!

Hi Rachel. I've just started wall pilates and after looking at HEAPS of videos, I love yours the most! I'm also doing HIIT on the rebounder so I find the pilates a great supplementary exercise. I'm in my 60's and have decided to get in shape and I'm feeling really good. Losing weight, toning and being healthy. Its never too late. Thanks Rachel....

Day 3 completed. I swear to god, i did not know if i could make it... post pregnancy i put up alot of weight and im 5feet tall weighing 85kg.. most of my fat is in my belly and thighs, so this workout was a real banger... but i made it, no pain no gain! Thank you Rachel, i am a very unfit person, but i could feel the difference from day 1 to now where I've gotten stronger and was able to push through! Much love!

Day 3 complete. I have been thin and fit my entire life, but moving to an extremely cold climate, I have become very sedentary the past few years and put on about 60 lbs. That's 60 lbs too much! I have really struggled with it and I'm ready to get back into shape. No excuses. After 4 years of barely moving my body enough at all, 3 days of wall plates has turned me into jello, but it's a good feeling!

I started the 28 Day Challenge on March 1st and quickly decided that I would turn it into an 84 Day challenge with ‘upping my game’ each round of 28 days by increasing the weights, more controlled movements and breathing, etc.. Today I’ve officially moved past the halfway mark!! Thank you Rachel for creating an exercise routine that I actually enjoy and don’t try to excuse my way out of like I’ve done so many times over the years LOL!!🤣😂🤣

I am on day 18, and so far, I am enjoying these exercises very much. Some days feel effortless, and a few of them appear harder, but I do feel the impact of them on my body. I do feel much better than when I started, and my flexibility has visibly improved. Thank you so much for this series. I tried some paid apps too, but I prefer to do my workout with you.

Day2 wall Pilates challenge … oh my goodness …. I have been doing various exercises with weights for the past two or three months, but never have I really felt the burn in my arm muscles or seen any effect/improve in appearance - I had to drop to 3kg weights for this challenge because I could really feel it ! I enjoyed this routine so much that I can’t wait to do it again. Thank you Rachel for your message of encouragement yesterday - I really think this is going to make such a difference to me 😊

Woooow! Just finished this 3rd day. Found the glute work very challenging! Perhaps because my muscles are sore from day 1. I always feel the pain 2 days after workout. I love these ab exercises; it protects the back, and the wall really helps! Im used to doing crunches without a wall. These are awesome!

Loving the workouts - I do these after a 30 min walk - I’m nursing a rotator cuff injury so these exercises are great for me - I just modify when it hurts my shoulder.

Im trying to do 2 days a week since i am doing 30m of dancing/cardio everyday already. Looking forward to day 4 (which i will get to in a couple days). Needed something to help with the areas that don't get as much attention with my cardio and whew, this has been tough already! Trying to get back into shape and healthy after having a baby 10 months ago. But i am hopefully going to start doing more days a week as i strengthen up. Very excited and pleased so far, cannot wait to do more!

Day 15 ✅ Doing 2-a-days this week to catch up on some days missed in order to finish the 28 days before I go out of town. This one is still the most challenging by far. I’m not using ankle weights, but the back to back single leg work is absolutely brutal! Still
having to modify with either a bridge hold or moving from feet on the wall to the floor.

Just finished day 3 of 28 YT challenge I feel great today was a little tougher from day 1 and 2 but i feel like thats a good thing I broke a little sweat! I also am super excited because these are building my core like OT. I had to do a lot of core workouts and this feels similar fun and challenging!
