My daughter's 16 and has been listening to this game's soundtrack for 10 years, now... One of the first games we ever played together (and that she ever finished) : can't wait to install it on her Switch, for old times' sake...! 😁😁😁
Great fun fact about the movie: All of the actors had to learn how to play their respective instruments. Who taught them? Chris Murphy from the legendary Canadian rock band Sloan. Just another element that makes this such an awesome movie. Great video Johnny!

omg I wanted this game so badly years ago but I practically gave up hope that it would ever make it out of copyright hell. definitely gonna grab me a physical copy if I can
I'm a huge fan of the comic and movie but i very foolishly dismissed the game back then for some reason as a movie tie in that would be churned out as a cash grab and i never heard anyone talk about it, played it at a game convention literally like a month or two after it was delisted and got super hyped to go home to buy it only to find out about it being gone, spent the last 6 years or so wishing for a way to properly sit down and play it. Finally my time has come :D Also happy Birthday Johnny, best wishes for 2021.
Happy Birthday man! Hope your family has an amazing new year. Can't wait to play this game as I missed it the first time it was released. I read the graphic novels a few months before the film was released and was blown away, I absolutely love the movie, I still think it's the best comic book movie ever made.
I'm still digesting your yersterday's video! Thank you so much for sharing with us. You're a true inspiration for me personally in starting my own Star Wars YT channel. Love your positivity and honesty.))) Best of luck to you in 2021
Every collectors edition should be called "the ridiculous edition". Ahahhah. Im geting the special edition for sure as i just dont suport digital for major games. Im really happy that we can finaly get this game in the proper way, on a disc! Happy birthay man. Cheers for you and your family. Bring back Kim we miss her!
I remember sending my friend a youtube video of the 1st stage in the game and saying listen to the music. We then talked a bit about the soundtrack and I mentioned the game was local Co-op. He said "ok i'm downloading the game, can you come over right now?" and I slept over at his place and we played through the whole game start to finish. It's the only game I've gotten him to play with me Co-op so it's for sure a special game for me. I'm getting a physical copy of this for the memories alone.
You brought me comfort during some of my worst times physically in life and now it seems youre going to do the same for my mental health and emotions. Thanks for being you man enjoy your birthday fellow Capricorn (my birthday is in four days haha)

Hope you had a great birthday Johnny! I'm so happy the game is available again. It was one of the few reasons for me holding onto my PS3 all these years. I saw the movie first then read the graphic novels, and they're a great read!

Now I can say I have pre-ordered the crazy super deluxe edition (but not the craziest super extra deluxe edition lol) and the game will never get away from me again! Oh, and happy belated birthday!
So exciting that this will no longer be lost media. I’m definitely going to get the physical. Played this one with my buddies back in the day and it deserves all the accolades
Happy bitday! Still have my PS3 hooked up because of this game. Really agree with about everything you say. Anamanaguchi killed it with the soundtrack and back then I couldn't believe I finally could play something Paul Robertson animated, he made these insane pixel animation videos that always blew my mind.
What the hell... your birthday is the same as my son. I saw the news about this limited run and immediately lost my shit and was looking forward to what you would say about it. Scot Pilgrim is an absolute treasure. The game, the movie, the graphic novel... and that goddamn soundtrack. So amazing. I am in the same boat with you about having this game turn my 360 into a holy artifact to me. This re-realize is a dream come true, honestly.
Happy Birthday! i just wanted to share that my wife and i played and beat dragons crown together on the ps3, and using fightsticks. we were already pretty steady together when the game came out, but it was an experience (over multiple sessions) that we both still reference endearingly. then she moved onto mobile games 🤦🏻♂️
Scott pilgrim was my wife and I's first movie date most definitely a favorite of ours. Also the game is very special as well glad to see its back! Happy birthday love the channel
You do know that Limited Run Games has announced the vinyl for the soundtrack for preorder, right? Already got mine ordered, and I'm waiting to pick up both the Switch and PS4 versions physically in a couple days. Oh, and Happy Birthday! Scott Pilgrim was also a very important game to my wife and I. For us, Halo was to us for what SP was for you and Kim. I'll never forget though, fighting Gideon with me as Scott and my wife as Ramona, on our last life constantly reviving each other. We refused to finish the fight with only one of us alive. I landed the last hit, but my wife got the bonus K.O. hit by whacking him with her purse. Ah, memories. Haha.
Limited Run is also doing the vinyl soundtrack. Way back, when the vinyl came out on record store day, it sold out fast and was never rereleased. Copies went for as much as 200 bucks. What a relief that its affordable now.
I've heard a lot about this game over the past few years, but have never played it. Now I will be. Thank you for your take on it. Btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAPPYCONSOLEGAMER!!
Happy birthday, John! . . . I'm going after the crazy edition from Limited Run. I know it's pre-order, so that's good. It's just not good on my wallet. This game means a lot of me too. It was a comic that I got on "free comic book" day, and it hooked me from there. It was so cool to see manga and American comics kind of melt into one thing. The first volume is very rough. I don't O'Malley knew he had a hit on his hand, and was just making something he wanted to enjoy. It smooths out by volume 2, and it's well worth your time. I draw comics, and I honestly don't think I'd feel I'd have a place in comics if Scott Pilgrim wasn't a thing.
Only game in history with Toonies! I'm getting the KO edition, this has a personal meaning for mr as well. I'm also Canadian, thanks for sharing your story
Happy Belated Birthday Johnny! Love this game as I picked it up a day after release to relive the 360 days after over ten years ago. Brings a special place in my heart.
Happy birthday! I played the heck out of this game back in 2010 and like you, hung onto my 360 with it on the hard drive for all these years since. Definitely going to be buying this again and hopefully introduce my fiancé to it!
Scott Pilgrim is one of my favorite movies (I also live in the toronto area, so thats cool too). It's that perfect magical blend of video games, comics and movies coming together. I've never played this game, but it looks like a good time. Happy Birthday!
For those of you saying that you are gonna get the Limited Run physical version: it will take a few months to arrive, so I'd recommend getting the digital version as well. Its $15 so its not expensive.
I loved Scott Pilgrim on 360 and I always felt relieved that I was among the people that bought it before it was delisted. I'm glad this release comes with everything, never got that Wallace DLC so finally after all these years I'll be able to play as him. Also, happy birthday, Johnny.
im so glad you know river city ramson , i remember playing this back on the 360 and telling people oh is like basically river city ramson in a way , and no one knew what game i was talking about
Happy birthday Johnny! I got into Scott Program through the movie and game too (never read the comics) Now if we can only get the other lost treasures on 360, I can finally retire mine.
Had a similar story where I randomly discovered this movie in theaters with my gf at that time, knowing nothing about it. I fell in love with the movie, I felt like I could relate to Scott fighting the evil exes. I eventually read through the entire graphic novel set (twice now) and am super pumped to play the game again. Happy birthday Johnny!
Love your enthusiasm for Scott Pilgrim! I’ve got the game on PS3 but I fancy the Switch version. The movie and graphic novels are great, it’s a very underrated franchise.
I'm a super huge Scott Pilgrim fan. I own all the graphic novels, and a steel book version of the movie, but never got to play the game. I'm super excited to finally get to try it out.
Happy Birthday! I've seen the movie a few times, played the game at friends places years and years ago. Super glad it's back and I'll definitely be getting the LRG Switch version!
Happy Birthday Johnny! Hope you have a great day! What a great birthday present! So I have a history with this game. Not as good as yours, but I figured I'd still share. When I was in my freshman year of high school, I became friends with this guy. We bonded over video games, and anime. He introduced me to 3 of his closest friends. Then I introduced him to my 2 closest friends. So we all knew each other, and started to hang out altogether as a group. The one guy I met through becoming friends with the first guy had Scott Pilgrim vs. The World the game downloaded onto his PS3. I had never heard of it before. So I gave it a try over his house one day, and I loved it! Prior to this, I have played beat 'em games before and I love them! Streets of Rage is one of my favorites! So without knowing a thing about Scott Pilgrim vs. The World the game, I instantly loved it! A couple years later in high school, that guy who introduced me to Scott Pilgrim treated the guy who introduced me to him like shit, and I cut him off completely. So we were no longer friends from that point on. It's sad, along with Scott Pilgrim he also introduced me to a lot of other great video game series I love and play today. Part of me wants to thank him for that, and then the other half of me wants to tell him off for how he treated my friend. Years later, I finally watch Scott Pilgrim vs. The World the movie over my other friend's house on Netflix. I absolutely loved it! I ended up buying it on DVD/Blu-ray combo pack! If you've made it this far, thanks for reading my Ted Talk.
Happy birthday to you and I hope I can get my hands on this game as soon as possible. It reminds me of when it came out, I was in my first year of high school, I miss those days so much. I would also like to thank you John for the great content during the past 8 years, I really learned a lot about games retro or new. Thanks and Happy birthday again :)
Happy Birthday! I definitely gotta pick this up. I'm a huge fan of the movie and even own a bunch of props from it. Some items used in background shots and even Todd's bass guitar from the bass battle! Yes, now I'm just bragging. Lol
Great to see this game is finally back. It introduced me to chiptunes as a genre. Sadly my ps3 died years ago but I'm definitely gonna get this asap and might try to snag myself a physical copy. Happy birthday as well even though it's a little late.
1:29 well you are right about that it bombed in theaters per se but the DVD sales made it up I think it would have been a more successful in theaters if Eat pray Love didn't overshadow it. I love the Scott Pilgrim movie also I can't wait to pre-order a physical copy at limited run games Friday also Happy birthday Johnny!🍻
Happy Birthday, Johnny! I'm excited to get one of my favorite game this past decade physically! I have it on my XB360 and always feared I'll loose it. No I will buy it again for Switch physically. I watched the movie and read the graphic novels and liked them both.
Loved this game! So glad it's back. Now I need a River City Girls 2. Anamanguchi does a great job with the soundtrack.the movie's soundtrack is awesome too. Sucks that there's no mass physical version of game since done by Ubisoft. Limited run takes too long and I dont wanna buy it twice. Edit: ALSO HAPPY BIRTHDAY
I remember seeing the movie after reading the books and saying how great the movie was. When I saw it was bombing, I was disappointed and even frustratedly angry. Looking back, I do agree that it was way ahead of its time and if it came out now it probably would have done so much better. But I really do enjoy the series and I was elated when the game was being re-released. The first thing I thought of was the physical copy because I didn't want to run into another digital copy Fiasco like everyone else did back in the day. I tried to be cool about it, but I had to order the physical copy ASAP. That said, this is a really nice story. And it really hits home as Scotty pilgrim is from Canada like yourself, johnny. Thanks for all you do on UA-cam
Happy Birthday John. I love Scott Pilgrim. The books, film & game. I was excited for the film because Edgar Wright one of my favourite directors was directing it. Now it is one of my favourite films of all time.
I grew up reading the comics and recorded the movie on my home television. I still have my ps3 with the game on it. I love how it came back and I got it on switch and im just so glad its back for more people to enjoy.
happy birthday bb

another fun fact about this: Michael Cera already knew how to play bass guitar but he had to tone down his skills because he would outshine everyone.

Johnny! So, I’ve been playing a game and you immediately came to mind. I’m not sure the best way to get a hold of you other than your comment section, so figured this is worth a shout. Secret of Mana has been completely retranslated, from the ground up. The project is called Secret of Mana: Reborn. I’m not a huge advocate for fan hacks, but in this case, they have gone above and beyond. Apparently, the original translation left thousands of lines of dialogue on the cutting room floor, and as you know what did get translated was sloppy to put it lightly. Apparently, even the Switch “remake” left out many of these lines of dialogue that the hacking team have tirelessly worked on to restore. Secret of Mana is a true classic regardless, but I think the polish of this retranslation truly brings it up to legendary status. Check it out when you’re not too busy with the baby!

Happy Birthday! I definitely gotta pick this up. I'm a huge fan of the movie and even own a bunch of props from it. Some items used in background shots and even Todd's bass guitar from the bass battle! Yes, now I'm just bragging. Lol
Happy Birthday Johnny! I’ll be buying this game tomorrow!
So tempted to get the limited run collectors edition of this game:-))

Great to see this game is finally back. It introduced me to chiptunes as a genre. Sadly my ps3 died years ago but I'm definitely gonna get this asap and might try to snag myself a physical copy. Happy birthday as well even though it's a little late.
Happy Birthday man, have a great one!! 🎉🍻🎂
Happy birthday!! Enjoy your channel and keep up your good work :)
Happy Birthday!!!!!! Hope it's a great one and I hope you have an awesome year as well.
Happy Birthday to you! I’ve never played this game, but I can’t wait to play this.
Happy birthday gamer
Happy Birthday Johnny! Happy 2021!
I actually got hyped for this release because of a previous video you made on this game!
Happy Birthday 🥳 and I can't wait ordering a copy Friday!!
Happy birthday! Best wishes to you and hope this year is better for you
Happy birthday johney thanks for all the great content you do for us. :)
happy birthday. hope you enjoyed this sunny Vancouver day!
Happy Birthday John. I love Scott Pilgrim. The books, film & game. I was excited for the film because Edgar Wright one of my favourite directors was directing it. Now it is one of my favourite films of all time.
Happy Birthday Johnny. Hope you and your family have a good new year. hope you all stay healthy during this wild time in Canada buddie.
Happy Birthday! Keep up the great vlogs!!!
I grew up reading the comics and recorded the movie on my home television. I still have my ps3 with the game on it. I love how it came back and I got it on switch and im just so glad its back for more people to enjoy.
