+Michael Farley Few extra line of what they know they doing doesn't cost anything. But build out a whole armor with historic explanation to create the atmosphere, that was an epic touch.
I wish they made arm pieces and the gauntlet too, but seem like this is maximum budget for an episode
+haico1992 it's more of the amount of time they spend talking about "how and why" the less time the have for other stuff, unless they film more stuff and keep it all in. filming, while most likely all digital at this point, still costs money because people have to be paid to do so and the longer they film the more they get paid to do so...that's what I was trying to get at more or less. either way, love the talking, love the armor, yay swords!
I'd love to see more Armour.
I rthink armour is almost more fascinating than the weapons.

It was really satisfying to watch. I've always had this feeling around sword and armour, especially the making of it and I'm so happy that I found a video about it. Besides Erza is one of the most unique, beautiful and strongest character in the anime world that I can't help but admire her.

Andrew Loyal I would have loved to have seen more on the armor building as well, but I don't think they were willing to make this episode any longer as it is. Like lowkey, I think they were running out of music by the end of this.

Didn't Ilya also attend a university in Moscow, where he studied and researched ancient smithing techniques and other close expertise concerning his profession?
There are many, many MANY resources on smithing, if you search hard enough. Many old manuals and whatnot can be found, as well as more modern videos detailing different techniques.

this was one if the best episodes ever. so much technique shown and explained by the team, and Ilya getting to show off his armorer skills was a pleasure. Fantastic builds from you guys as usual. Loved the longer episode and double build. I can't wait to see what you guys build next.

+James Ryan well, it'd look _slightly_ different, depending on which version of it you use.
One version, the one we see when trunks comes into dbz for the first time from the future, his sword is a longsword, but thicker than normal (wider?)
And the other, well, is just a plain longsword.

I feel like they shouldn't do Myrtenaster, because it's just a rapier version of the Gunblade, which they've already done. If they do the Crescent Rose, it'll be something completely unlike everything else they've done on the show, in that it's a fucking Scythe. A badass one at that. They might even make the clip as well.
