Love these solidity explorations, so much power available to enhance our world. We can build the paradise we want to live in, without having our sweat and blood stolen by primitive obsolete institutions that claim the monopoly of force and profit. Thank you Siraj.
Question: what hinders the buyer from further selling my data? How can I be the only one profiting from it? Couldn't the buyer just pretend that it's his data, if it's anonymous and then distribute it. Let's even say he the buyer puts some noise on my data so a I can't publicly identify it as my data. Any thoughts?
hi siraj -- a question that is banking my head can you please answer it so how would the creator of the services be benefited if all the tokens or the cash being transferred to the data creator
I think the noise gate from your audio processing seems to not be set at an appropriate threshold because there seems to be some breaking. Try and set your microphone with a higher signal to noise ratio
Digressing from the main topic a bit, I'm wondering about having to create an escrow for each transaction. I presume there are ways to make that easy - like the button to confirm. It seems to be something a small business wouldn't use much. I hesitate to leave fb ... small biz pages there. It would be nice to be able to transition such things.
Hey Siraj, I'm a bit curious about neural network theory. Could you possibly do a short video on Shwartz-Ziv and Tishby's Information Bottleneck theory about deep neural networks? They've done a talk or two on it, and I think they also had at least 3 papers written (1999, 2015, 2017). The 2017 arxiv is this one: arxiv.org/abs/1703.00810.
Hey Siraj, I’m definitely a fan, a lot of my thinking has run parallel to yours in the last couple of years as I’ve been watching corrupt AI, Automation, and Robotics take over to pollute the Internet and do so many nefarious things. I like your idea of AI + Blockchain, but there is one thing you are missing- cooperatives and the commons have been around for centuries and have served people well. They can be decentralized or decentralized. Take a look at some of the cooperatives around and put this concept in your mix. Rock on!
Hey Siraj! What do you think about DigiByte? You can build DAPPS on it too and actually the DGB blockchain is more powerful than all of the 60 crypto above Digi combined! Outstanding tech! 5 mining algo...etc. Worth a look!
But at the very least they're compartmentalized from one social network to another. I would be making it far easier to get an even larger dataset by delivering my Amazon, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Airbnb data. Can we figure out who's buying the data in this platform to hold them accountable if used nefariously? How anonymized can you be when you have all of that data? Can we at least hear more about the anonymity aspect of this platform?
Thanks for the explanation guys! I didn't mean to be confrontational, I was really wondering about these questions regarding this platform. I never thought that someone would willingly sell away their own data like this, that's all.
Hey siraj, checkout the latest tensorlayer library by Google, probably the best framework ever created, I am loving it, it is super user friendly, btw, Big fan😊
Man, i am having one hell of a week where things are all getting mixed up. We have an issue with the regulation of the use of personal information, transparent to users. Personally i would prefer that we had a more public regulation for common people, because it should be easier than trying to teach everyone how to use this program. And yes, on every end we need confidence through education and regulation of our information.
Glad you brought this up. I've been waiting for this product for years, and haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet. Models executed in the browser, using the client's GPU. I don't think people are anywhere near as excited about the new possibilities as they should be.
Honestly, I don't want to "make money" from my data. If businesses want to buy my data, I doubt I'd be a good target because I ignore ads. I much rather have a way to donate my data to charities I support like cancer, education, arts and other worthy causes. If that helps someone pay for cancer treatment, mental health counseling, pay for college or prosthetic for veterans, then it's worth while.
Lol, they're not going to change that, as much as their AI might try. When a video has an ad, I let it play but ignore it to support the content creators. When youtube throws up a survey I always click "skip".
How is it good if an insurace can give me a totally different price than the next person. This just makes insurance much much more unfair for people with for example heart problems.
So this decentralized data-exchange depends entirely or mostly on centralized systems for its data, can you see the irony in that. For this system to have access to things like Facebook, does one have to give your username and password over to this data-exchange. The centralized companies will probably at some point block these data-exchanges from accessing their systems, and also update their terms and conditions disallowing users to use data-exchanges, as they are third parties, and also the centralized companies incur a cost to handle user data for third parties. Once the data source is lost, a data-exchange is useless, as it isn't generating its own data. On the subject of privacy, what about photos, how anonymous is a photo of your face! And you'll have control over your data, another joke! You're basically handing over your data to another company in the false belief that you're in control and going to make a fortune in doing so. Sure you may get paid, but it will most likely be pennies. Who in the real world would give their phone over to a stranger on a street corner, let them access your phone, divulging all your private details, interests, history, photos etc etc etc and then the person says we'll reward you with a personalized birthday card every year, as we know your birth date and interests, because that's what you're basically doing with a data-exchange. Another hyped up use for blockchains.
The main message of this "business" is that you get FREE money for your data. That will overwrite every single concern you listed. People are not rational.
Just because some people are not rational, doesn't negate a single issue I raised actually. You just state that there are irrational people in the world, issues still remain however for the rest of us.

we need something to lock data under contract, anti piracy kinda signature to be only of use to people who bought the data/book/song whatever.
hi siraj -- a question that is banking my head can you please answer it

What do you think about EOS?
Brilliant post on decentralized data where users have control of their own data. I really liked the entire Video...
Unless you are running on your JavaScript VM in browser, don't you have to wait ~15 sec between moves? ...until the next block
I think the noise gate from your audio processing seems to not be set at an appropriate threshold because there seems to be some breaking. Try and set your microphone with a higher signal to noise ratio
Hi Siraj. Where do you find about all these new stuff ?
Hey Siraj what do u think about Ocean Protocol the data exchange protocol

Is thiz video from the blockchain course?
Samir Muradov , no. This video is not from blockchain course
I am Sanjay M Ranavaya :love your videos sir. How to make these kind of wallets please make a video on this :)
how would the buyer of the data ensure the data is legit data and not some bunk data?
Let's make a Decentralised Chat App!

maybe one video dedicated to just solidity would be great?
This
Hi could you please take a look at a contract for a dapp I had. Someone to build
Where do you come up with these resources? You certainly have the most interesting/valuable content in AI here. Really gj, from the heart.
I need to learn block chain technology from scratch can you suggest me best way
Thankyou
A lot of people should watch your videos to understand what Blockchain technology is all about and how useful it is
Where we find reference for that tic tac toe game?
What if the seller or buyer doesn't release the money just to spite the other?
Hey Siraj .
You've been fantastic.
Please make a video on tensorlayer. How to use it effectively. 😊
Hey Siraj! What do you think about DigiByte? You can build DAPPS on it too and actually the DGB blockchain is more powerful than all of the 60 crypto above Digi combined! Outstanding tech! 5 mining algo...etc. Worth a look!
In what world would I ever want to sell my own data? How anonymous can one really be when you have all that data about them?
You already provide your data for free if you are using social networks. And you are using youtube so yeah why in the world not?
But at the very least they're compartmentalized from one social network to another. I would be making it far easier to get an even larger dataset by delivering my Amazon, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Airbnb data. Much of the data is centralized in data management platforms (DMPs) so it's already being collected and used with no compensation to you.
3:45
Thanks for the explanation guys! I didn't mean to be confrontational, I was really wondering about these questions regarding this platform. I never thought that someone would willingly sell away their own data like this, that's all.
Siraj. Can you do a review of Pascal Coin's safebox technology?

You should be using Safe Math to check for overflow
Hey Siraj, this video was great! However, you sped up a bit too much towards the end with the coding.
Hey Siraj Tensorflow.js is here!
Glad you brought this up. I've been waiting for this product for years, and haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet.
Models executed in the browser, using the client's GPU. I don't think people are anywhere near as excited about the new possibilities as they should be.
+ZEUS. Have you used webassembly ? It is hell.
Dude I've been wanting to make this for ages 😂😂😂😂😎😎😎😎😎
Forgive me this question Siraj, did you get paid by DataWallet for this video?
Honestly, I don't want to "make money" from my data. If businesses want to buy my data, I doubt I'd be a good target because I ignore ads. I much rather have a way to donate my data to charities I support like cancer, education, arts and other worthy causes. woolfel pretty good idea!
If you ignore ads then they will use your data to figure out how to change that. They need both ad clickers and ignorers for their analaysis.
Lol, they're not going to change that, as much as their AI might try. When a video has an ad, I let it play but ignore it to support the content creators. When youtube throws up a survey I always click "skip".
Is there anything that can stop someone from creating a new fake identity?
thank you for data wallet video
Wow! Solidity seems like an easy language to pick up if you know JavaScript and some C#! Hire me! LOL
amazing
just drinking my reishi and chaga infused coffee while watching this
nobody cares

Nicely said.....!!!!!.
Thank you!
Huge fan from Nepal😍😍
He is the Elon musk of the UA-cam Coders...!!!

2 videos this week, awesome
Not done yet for the week ;)
Siraj Raval, one more coming, yessssssssssssssssssssssssss
Datawallet is Dope tech....
Siraj for governor
Is it just me or his voice sounds a bit different?
Empiricists Academy he's high on cocain
Sounds like he has a sore throat
He finally got enough videos for training data so he can replace himself with an ai
He is in crappy mode
The noise gate from his audio processing seems to not be set at an appropriate treshold
Does anyone of you want a job in an A.I based start-up?
Woof
Can I sell my soul to advertisers too? How much would it cost?
Siraj is interesting
Damn bro you go too fast with all subjects and everything I can't keep up :(
That's the field!
