Excellent job brother! I was wondering when someone was going to address the Schuenemann study and its bogus conclusion. I hope you do decide to look into why this "study "always pops up when someone Googles the ethnicity of the ancient Egyptians, especially when you consider the fact that that's not even what the study was designed to do. I'm pretty sure you'd find some shady sh-t going on.
Once again, great job and I can't wait to read what kind of foolishness "those folks"have to say as a response to this video. They never cease to amuse and amaze me

I am a 78 y.o. white American US male. I never gave much thought about it, I just assumed that the majority of Africans were black skinned which became lighter around the Mediterranean coast...including Egyptians. The history of the races (for lack of a better term) is fascinating. However, with man's propensity to alter history to suit his own needs or ideology it is difficult to sort truth from fiction. This is only a reasonable conclusion IF you are under the belief that ALL of Africa was black. News flash.. there are MANY ethnic groups on Africa.
If you are under the belief that North African only became brown after Middle Eastern and European migration into North African then your wrong.. actually we KNOW that the Egyptians WERE NOT black and then slowly got lighter BECAUSE there was a test done that studied the genome of an Egyptian mummy from the 2,000BC period and not only did they find EVEN LESS Sub-Suharran (black) DNA in his genome compared to the amount found in modern Egyptians BUT ACTUALLY also found MORE European (Caucasoid) DNA (7%) in this mummy.
Also, I said "they found even LESS" Sub-Suharran, or Black, DNA then found in Egyptians TODAY.. So not only does this contradict the "Egyptians turned from black to brown/white" narrative.. but research have already pinpointed the period of the rise in Sub-Suharran DNA (black) within modern Egyptians as starting during the Saharan slave trade around 1,000bc and also around the time of Muslim expansion. Btw.. by "Muslim expansion" I mean the spread of Islam and NOT the spread and migration of Arabs.

The last drove to arrive in current Yoruba land are the Ijebus. Some settled in Sudan region also. At the same time, Egypt was pushing out their blacks which were majorly in the immediate south of the Sahara like the Hausa, Fula or Fulani, etc. Some came to settle in Yoruba land also... my ppl.

Yes I am 60 and loved reading about the Egyptians and knew right away that they had to be black because of the hieroglyphics on the walls. White people have never as a race wore braids like black people and in Carthage they would wear braids so I believe a lot of people of that time was black. Jesus in the Bible is describe as wooly hair and bronze in color but people say does it matter. IT does
Black people are the most hated people in this world as a race. Jesus said we would be.Why do you think Moses told Pharoah God said let my people go because they were all black including the Pharoah and the slaves.🎉

@@kieshamatthews5800 Yes, black is so diverse it is actually the largest group of races compared to the rest of the humans. However, the DNA of ancient North Egyptians, Libians and Berbers is close to that of ancient Canaaneans, Hitites and Mesopotamians, not to any ancient black races. The black Egyptians were the Kushites. Which at some point after the New Kingdom took over the entire Nile for a period. Later rulers were Greek, however, the composition of commoners of norther Caucasian Egyptians and southern black Nubians remained mostly the same.
I see it as pointless trying to claim the Mediterranean shores above the Sahara. It's like Turkey. In ancient world Anatolia, the mainland belonged to the Hitites, while the west shores to the Greek which was mostly a bunch of city-States interconnected by sea rather than land. Similarly, Egypt and Mesopotamia was interconnected by river. On the Magreg, the Berbers ruled the land while the Carthageans ruled the shores.

A Muslim imam was the one
who ordered the nose of the

BTW: Islam was not and still

      to Blacks.
      The East African and Central
      African slave trade (to the
      headwaters of the Congo,
      etc) sent millions into
      slavery during the early
days of Islam to Arabia and
      during the entire span of
      the Ottoman empire.
      It lasted many more centuries
      longer than the Transatlantic
      slave trade.
      Furthermore, Muslims in Sudan
      still enslave the Christian and
      Pagan Blacks within greater
      Sudan (Sudan, Darfur, South
      Sudan) The same occurs in
Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa.
[Slavery is alive and well in

      (1) How is this relevant to the topic? (2) Whose last days? The last days of the country of Judea ended early in the first century AD (CE) by order of a Roman emperor. Dan was written before the compilation of the Judaic scriptures in the 5th C. BC (BCE). There is no way any prophet at that time not only could, or be interested in writing about something that might happen more than 2,500+ years later. He was writing to his own people. In the 5th C. BC (BCE), when the written compilation of what Christians call the Old Testament, was made at the order of a king, they would not have included writings of someone they considered so crazy to predict the literal future, and more importantly, nor would they have found any relevance to their current lives. They included inspirational and historical religious teachings attributed to their venerable hero, Moses and respected prophets. They would and could not have imagined that the writings were intended for people all over the earth in an unbelievably remote future. Nor would the prophet Dan, originally. What does the "end of days" even mean, then or now? I submit it is simply another way of saying, "in the great by and by" or "someday". It is a statement of faith. NOT a prediction of the future.

The DNA Tribes study, which used an 8-STR marker analysis to conclude that the royal Egyptian mummies (like those of King Tutankhamun and others) were of Sub-Saharan African ancestry, has been met with substantial skepticism and criticism. There are several key points to consider when evaluating the validity of this study:
Background of the DNA Tribes Study
DNA Tribes is a private company that offered commercial genetic ancestry analysis using a set of 21 autosomal STR markers. In 2012, DNA Tribes analyzed data from the published results of a 2010 study by Zahi Hawass and his team, which involved the royal mummies, including Tutankhamun and Amenhotep III. The original 2010 study by Hawass et al. had focused on identifying familial relationships among the mummies using a small set of STR markers.
DNA Tribes took the allelic data from that study (8 STR markers, not the complete set used by the company) and compared them to their internal database of modern population STR profiles. They then published an analysis suggesting a closer genetic affinity between the mummies and modern Sub-Saharan African populations based on these STR profiles.
Major Concerns and Limitations of the DNA Tribes Study
Small Number of STR Markers (8 STRs):
The analysis was based on only 8 STR markers, which is insufficient for making reliable or detailed conclusions about ancestry or population affinity. As discussed earlier, using just 8 STR markers is problematic due to the limited resolution and potential overlap in allele frequencies across different populations.
In the context of ancestry analysis, having so few STR markers can lead to broad and potentially misleading results because it does not capture enough genetic information to differentiate between closely related populations accurately.
      Allele Frequency Overlap:
STRs can exhibit high variability between individuals, but not necessarily in a way that uniquely distinguishes populations. Allele frequency overlaps between groups (especially between geographically proximate populations in North Africa, East Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa) can make definitive conclusions difficult with such a small set of markers.
The database used by DNA Tribes might not have fully accounted for these overlaps, which can lead to conclusions that are skewed or not statistically robust.
      Interpretation and Statistical Analysis:
DNA Tribes compared the allele frequencies of the 8 STR markers to their proprietary database of modern population groups. This database, however, may not have been comprehensive or consistent with other datasets used by the scientific community. In any ancestry analysis, the choice and size of the reference database play a crucial role in the conclusions.
Additionally, the methodologies for comparing these allelic frequencies and arriving at conclusions were not well-documented or peer-reviewed in scientific literature, making it hard to evaluate the validity of their claims independently.
      Context of the Original Data:
The 2010 study by Hawass et al. did not aim to study population affinity but rather focused on identifying familial relationships between mummies. The 8 STR markers used in the original study were chosen for forensic and kinship purposes, not for broader population genetics or ancestry conclusions.
Using allelic data collected for one purpose (familial relationships) and repurposing it for another (population affinity) can introduce biases or misinterpretations.
Lack of Peer Review and Scientific Consensus:
The DNA Tribes study was not published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, which is a significant limitation in terms of scientific credibility. The absence of peer review makes it difficult to assess the study's methods, statistical analyses, and conclusions against established standards in population genetics.
The broader scientific community has not accepted the conclusions drawn by DNA Tribes, and reputable scholars in Egyptology and population genetics have questioned the methodology and findings.
Ancient DNA Degradation and Contamination Concerns:
Ancient DNA studies require careful extraction and analysis methods due to the degraded and often contaminated nature of ancient DNA samples. The reliability of ancient DNA data depends heavily on the quality and authenticity of the DNA extracted.
While the 2010 study by Hawass et al. claimed to have extracted authentic DNA from the mummies, ancient DNA research requires highly rigorous protocols to minimize contamination risks. Without direct validation and more comprehensive genetic data, conclusions drawn from such ancient samples remain tentative.
Summary: Is the DNA Tribes Study Valid?
The DNA Tribes study, which used 8 STR markers to conclude that the royal Egyptian mummies were of Sub-Saharan African affinity, is not considered a scientifically valid or robust study by most population geneticists and Egyptologists. Here’s why:
Insufficient Genetic Data: Analyzing only 8 STR markers is not enough to make precise or definitive claims about population ancestry, especially in the context of complex population histories like that of ancient Egypt.
Methodological Issues: The methods used by DNA Tribes were not adequately detailed or subjected to peer review. The reliance on a proprietary and potentially incomplete database adds to the concerns.
Scientific Consensus: The broader academic community does not support the findings of the DNA Tribes study. Peer-reviewed genetic studies on ancient Egyptian remains often involve larger numbers of markers or SNPs, with more nuanced conclusions about population affinity.
While the results of the DNA Tribes analysis are an interesting hypothesis, they do not stand up to scientific scrutiny due to the limited dataset and methodological issues. Thus, its conclusions should be viewed with caution and not taken as definitive evidence of the royal mummies’ ancestry. More comprehensive studies using ancient DNA from multiple mummies and employing genome-wide analysis techniques would be needed to draw reliable conclusions about the ancestry of ancient Egyptians.

What are the reasons why people say Ancient Greeks were black?
This is fringe idea among black nationalists or black supremacists.
The problem started in the 19th century, and it revolves around the fact that Africa's history is mostly unknown to us. Sub-Saharan Africa never developed advanced civilizations like you saw in Egypt, Sumer, Greece, etc. Many people believed that more advanced = more civilized = better, and although this is an utterly stupid idea it is nonetheless an idea some people have.
Slavery was often justified in earlier generations through the argument that black people were 'inherently' inferior. As evidence of this inherent inferiority, people pointed out that Africa had no advanced civilization. (Again, dumb, but I'm just relating what someone else said) This argument needed to be disproven. Some people fixated on the possibility that certain advanced civilizations (such as the Egyptians) were located in Africa and probably had black people among them. They decided to claim Egypt as being 'black' (based upon scant evidence) because it advanced the idea that blacks were not inferior and slavery was, therefore, wrong.
These kinds of ideas continued to fester into the 20th century. They were promoted by organizations such as the Nation of Islam and repeated by black nationalists like Malcom X. The Nation of Islam was/is a radical black supremacist organization that promoted a pseudo-religious myth in which black people were the first and best people on Earth. Now, there is great evidence that humanity originated in Africa, but the Nation's version of this story is pretty out there. (Worth a Google, if you're bored)
Throughout most of America's history, white oppressors denied the possibility of black history or black identity. Schoolchildren were not taught African history, and black Americans did not inherit any history or culture from their ancestors. Not because Africa lacks historical records (sadly true) but because whites did not want blacks to know they had a homeland. I recall reading an excerpt from Malcom X in which he relates his shock and amazement when he discovered that Africans belonged to their own continent and culture. It allowed him to understand his identity and his place in the world, because he was now rooted in a culture that was understandable. If he had stopped there, he would have been doing alright. But he went on to repeat the claim of black Egyptians, not because the claim was grounded in historical evidence but rather because it filled an emotional need inside him.
And that's really the point of it all. Africans have little in the way of recorded history, so some people compensate by trying to appropriate the cultures of others. I've heard the same thing about ancient Carthage, and also about both sides of the Trojan War. I once heard someone claim that the Greek shield-spear combination described in antiquity was in fact referring to the Zulu's assegai and nguni. This is a completely asinine idea devoid of evidence, but people continue to repeat it because it gives them emotional satisfaction and validation to believe they are descended from notable people.
I can understand that black Americans had their own identity stolen and suppressed, and that is tragic and unforgivable. However, this fact does not give them license to appropriate other people's history in order to compensate.

I think half the problem of accepting black african heritage into the Egyptian ancestry came about because of arguments involving Cleopatra's Greek ancestry confusing the issue with unnecessary arguments. I'm glad that people have finally started resorting to DNA sampling to get definitive answers, instead of trying to rely on bloodlines from recorded history. DNA can say much more about a person's origins than might be carved in a rock for posterity's sake.

It is Imperaitive to set forth the group descriptions, noting Kings/Pharohs that were of Public origins, ie: Generals that were handed the Kingship or usurped the Ruler to gain Kingship. Ramses is in this group. His family were not originally of the Royal Bloodlines, although they married within the group.
Nubians were in Upper Egypt, the South and were predominantly Black African.
The earlier Kings were influenced by the Bloodlines associated with peoples from the West and North of Egypt, the Ancient Mediterranean in constant movement, peoples that were Seafaring and land trekking towards the areas rich in resources, namely Food.
Th8s fata has absolutely been collected and studied, but withheld from the Public because it doesn't fit the "Mainstream Model"
Africa does not equate to must be Black, it is highly prevalent in % of Black, yet Indigenous White Groups exist, such as the N African Indigenous White Berbers, who are of Basque Origin.
It is a time for Mature Minded Ethical Facts, and this is unfolding at present.

Excellent statement, just drop the word "tribe". It brings to mind simple people wearing grass skirts, living in buffalo skin teepees, in small social groups of 70 - 80 people with no cities, no significant industry/economy/ law/government, hunting and gathering with some small subsistence farming. This describes many tribes living in the Amazon until this day, and even accurately describes places like pre-Roman Germany where they lived in tiny communities of 70 families, had no established government structure, no major economy or industry with mainly subsistence living, and built no roads or cities of any kind. This does NOT describe African people - who had a sophisticated urban cultures along with rural cultures, cities full of comfortable well-constructed houses, city streets and roads, city walls and gates, standing militaries, sophisticated government/industry/societal/economic systems, beautiful well-made clothing and jewelry, beautiful horse cavalry, metallurgy, livestock, agriculture, etc. The actual "tribes" in Africa are very few, and are only found in the extremely rural parts of the continent such as the Kahalari Bushmen and the Twa people (pygmies.) The vast majority Africans either live in sophisticated urban cities, medium sized towns, or small villages, BUT THE EUROCENTRIC MEDIA TRIES TO SHOW US ONLY THE MOST REMOTE AND EXTREMELY RURAL AFRICANS TO REPRESENT ALL OF AFRICA, and the word "tribe" is used to describe African civilizations which is absolute bullsh*t. Use words like ethnic group, kingdom, empire, civilization, etc. to describe African societies, or you can use the generic term "people" as in the Hausa People, or Akan people, never use the word tribe ever again please, unless you're talking about "actual" African tribes like the Bushmen. Let's get ahead of the game👊

I would like to preface this answer with the following development: UA-camrs such as Dane Calloway are Teaching African/black Americans that They are the real Indigenous people of the Americas, and that Native Americans are all “$5.00 Indians”. Though this Really Bothered me, as an Actual Indigenous person, I didn’t do anything about it. Freedom of speech being my main objective in leaving them alone, for the most part.
I also view them as a sort of ‘flat earth’ type society. They don’t believe in the science of DNA because that would Prove they originate in Africa, just as DNA from our ancient graves have already proven that We are the descendents of the people who came here thousands upon thousands of years ago. Even tens of thousands of years ago.
What has happened since then, is that the STUDENTS of Dane Calloway and others (Dane Calloway has over 35,000,000 views on his channels, and has become very well off as result of pushing this nonsense) have become violent and racist, threatening Native Americans that I know on Tik Tok and Instagram! My friends have had to contact police, as they consider the Death Threats to be very Serious!

      Related

@@withoutHistory The DNA Tribes study, which used an 8-STR marker analysis to conclude that the royal Egyptian mummies (like those of King Tutankhamun and others) were of Sub-Saharan African ancestry, has been met with substantial skepticism and criticism.

As a proud Irish academic Egypt was a Black African civilization anything else is just hypocrisy and jealousy. No other people if not the Africans still have cultural link legitimacy with ancient Egypt. Indeed, among many tribes, the twenty-fifth Dynasty of Pharaohs carry hausa tribe names still bore by many (Tantamani,Taharqa,Shabaka,Anlamani ...).Way before the Greek one, the city (i.e waset) that would latter become Luxor, Thebes (greek pronounciation) in Egypt was a highly armed city therefore its name (Tēgwais) which was translated "the fortified, sure" and still today Hausa in Eritrea, Sudan,Nigeria... use "Thabas" to say the same as Egyptians had +3000 years ago...Just scratching the damn surface but if we are to be sincere beyond biased interpretations we know exactly where the "crazy sounding" altered Egyptians words and names could lead us (Nebka, Medjedu, Menkaure, Khafre, Bakare, Menkhau, Djedkhau,Sahure, Saqqara). Only in hausa language is the sun still called as it was manly in ancient Egypt, Rā, (rānā, my Rā) , they call soul Re. Their royal title is still sarki or saraki while that of Egyptians was serekh (before the meaningless Pharaoh). With perfect matches Tutankhamu, karu(dogs) Ksar-baka ksar-fara, Rammessu,... can be defined by hausas who have never heard of Egypt. Moreover, Hausa syntaxes and even vocabulary are the closest to Coptic among the afro Asiatic languages and genetically the mysterious Hausas high percentage of r1b haplogroup is telling.
Beliefs had preceded history. Lastly, this is not to attribute a history to one people bus merely stating what makes sense if not Egypt will remain an eternal mystery some wish for sadly. Ancient Egypt is an achievement by Africans of all colors.

The Ancestors live ALL their descendants no matter what they look like and wish those today would get their head out of their azzez and accept each other for their heart and not their skin.
I'm a mixed race person who has seers in our family. Go ahead and risk their wrath. Don't come crying when they reject you and open a can of whoop ass on your ass.
      Peace.

They even sent me the video of the Egyptian girl but Here it was your video that ended the whole thing. And proved what I've been saying for months now. THANK YOU

Why would those Europeans who first found the statues destroy their noses? While there is no proof, denying that they did not want the connection to the Egyptians being black to be so evident and had some element of envy and jealousy in their hearts would be disingenuous. The sheer number of statues without noses underlines this. You gained a sub today!

Most ancient Egyptians had straight noses like most northeast African anyway. They were still darker skinned African just not related to sub Saharan African except probably the horn of africa

Sure, Africans come with all features as it is the heart of civilization. For example, there are black people in Nigeria with blue eyes and black people living on some of the pacific islands with blond hair.
My point is that there are certain features that are easily identified as African as white people don''t have those same features (ex. noses, full lips). Some Asians do but very few Whites/Europeans if any and that is a fact.@@exalteduchiha1563

I don't think Europeans destroyed the noses. There supposedly was a belief among Egyptians that evil entities could come to life through statues, but if the statues was partially damaged, the entities could not manifest.

I have a degree in chemistry (a physical science). I have always looked skeptically at the conclusions drawn by those in fields of social science, because there seems to be a tendency to cherry pick data. I had discussions about this with my cousin, who has a PhD from Harvard in economics. When my cousin was employed at a Beltway Bandit firm in the D.C. area he said they concluded that aircraft carriers were obsolete weapons systems. I was an active duty Navy officer at the time, and I had a different take on this.

What do you think of people’s claims that the true “Native Americans” were black Moors?
Well, it’s obviously a ridiculous pet theory of people who wish to aggrandize and glamourize their ancestors and their ethno-geographic origins, even if it that is done to the detriment of marginalized, discriminated against, undervalued and often oppressed people, such as the Native Americans, a part of humankind that was surely far more dispossesed and genocided in the last 500 years than their own suffering peoples.
Moorish identity didn’t even exist at all, not even as a mere word, by the time the Amerindians we all know were already living all over the Americas, well before 10,000 years ago. There isn’t even one single instance of a population crossing an entire ocean many thousands of kilometers wide to settle in another continent, before about 5,000-6,000 years ago (and the first of those who did it, the Austronesians, actually navigated wide stretches of open sea from island to island, not reaching the Americas - certainly not in large enough numbers to colonize it or even to leave any indelible mark of their presence).

Remember Joseph was a black Hebrew Israelite (what we call the black race today) and when his brothers showed up to Egypt they couldn't tell him apart from the Egyptians. Also when Pharaoh's daughter found Moses (a Hebrew boy ) she took him in as her own . She was Egyptian and he blended in with them.
