I got arrested for a warrant because it wasn’t filed in the system yet (or some kind of error like that) but I know I had actually gone and it would be on camera, I had talked with people in the sheriffs office, etc. So I didn’t put up a fuss, they took me in put me in the holding cell for a couple minutes until it was confirmed that I had actually gone to court. Then I got to go on my merry way. It can be as simple as that, even if you’re wrongfully taken in, just as long as you comply! Lol 🤗
Good on you for cooperating until things got cleared up. Nothing is perfect and things get screwed up sometimes. Thank you for being an adult and understanding that. 🙂
A warrant is a warrant. If it says you have one, you're going to get arrested. Refusing because you didn't believe it is not an option. But you probably aren't an idiot so that's obvious to you. It's like the people who try to argue that their license isn't suspended. Even if it was some mistake, if the computer says it's suspended, that's what they are going with. If it's not you get your charges dropped later in court. They aren't going to say "well okay, sorry to bother you sir, drive safe then".
Why the hell would he run? He did this to himself, absolutely no pity for him regardless of the warrant situation. And he doesn't talk like someone who is on the right path, he talks like a dope fiend who is just biding his time in drug court, waiting to beat his charges so he can go use again. Absolutely still addicted to the chaos of that life.
To dump drugs, he was obviously high and had to ditch it before he got arrested
Well I think it’s pretty obvious why he ran, to dump his stash, either it was pills that a K-9 can’t smell or the K-9 isn’t very good since they apparently didn’t find them

It’s funny because you can almost guarantee he ran to ditch something. He knows very well that it’s part of his probation requirements to comply with police. If this was just a big mistake, and he complied, he wouldn’t get a probation violation. However, if he’s caught with drugs, he’d most likely be kicked out of the drug court program, so really he just told on himself. He’s going to get a probation violation now because he didn’t comply, even if the warrant was outdated.

If people are so confused, they don't know if they have warrants or are currently under probation. They should just remain in custody. OBVIOUSLY. Being allowed out, should be used only for people that understand the concept.

Drug court is where you go & drug tested & check in
Drug court is an alternative to normal court designed to get the perp clean and off drugs.
Drug court a court system used to attempt to get people to stop using by putting them in drug treatment programs they get released on bail have to report to court like every week well attending addiction courses and submitting to a test every week as well as any random testing if you are suspected of using well in the drug treatment programs if you are found to be doped up well you are doing the drug treatment courses or just don't get tested like you are supposed to right back to jail you go

ETA - ah yeah, there it is. He had a UA the day prior so he got knew he could use for a few days and be clean again by his next test. They need to test him right now and then a judge can revoke his probation

If he was really "doing good" and trying to get his shit together, running from the cops seems like a bad way to preserve that. Any contact with cops can be bad if you are on probation but they have your name. Like it's going to be better to have them go tell your PO that you fled from cops for your active warrant than to just explain that you were picked up over some old warrant and cooperated fully. If the warrant is for some old charge from before it probably won't even effect your probation at all.
