As a former youth coach from U7's right upto U18's for many years, 1st thing i drilled in was always respect. Referees will make mistakes, team mates may have a bad game and coaches get it wrong. If one of my players disrespected a referree, team mate or coaches they were off and didnt play the rest of the game, i didnt care what he or the parents said. Fortunately i had the backing from my players parents as we witnessed every weekend players, coaches and parents from opposition abusing the officials was terrible. Remember the average age of referees in grass roots were teenagers themselves, but also the more respect you show to the referee the more decisions would go your way. However their attitude is if they see their favourite player/team doing it on the telly why can't I.

Couldn't agree more! I remember as a youngster, playing rugby. Against our fiercest opps, i scored a worldly, from one end of the pitch i ran the full length, skipping past the other players and put it under the posts! In my over the top celebrations, i flipped the bird to the opposing team! My coach, on the side of the field, bent me over and gave me 5 of thr best, followed up by sending me packing! At the time, i wanted him dead! Many years later and hopefully, a little less young dumb etc etc i realised my mistake and the lesson learned that day!.

It is literally a corrupt group and you defend them. No, just no. Pro referees at the higher end of the game where millions and billions are in play are corrupt and they have to pay the price. Arrigo sacchi of milan said in an interview in the late 90s that referees in italy did weird things "which the media knew of" and everyone on the show kept acting like sacchi was the only one who knew when it was obvious they all did. A few years later it was found out that almost all italian clubs had weird agreements with refs. Some more than others like the lovely juventus scumbag moggi. And here you are an adult with presumably critical thinking who chalk it up to refs being humans too and making mistakes. Was that the case in italy as well then? Best league in the world at that time... corrupt to the brim. And how is it possible most football coaches are the same? How come all best coaches behave the same way towards referees without fail? Because they understand football and they also understand that if the coach can see it then the ref can too... back when sacchi said it in the 90s (and others as well), the media tried to tell them not to say such things... then calcioppoli happened in 2005 and mourinho went to italy in 2008. He called out the refs when weird things happened and the media AGAIN told him to keep quiet... even though in the past they knew the truth... a certain football presenter was directly advised by juventus to justify refereeing errors in their favour. These are all on tape... how can these things happen all over but not england? Is this british racism or elitism thinking you are infallible and others are? Or is it simply denial? Not only are refs corrupt, certain parts of the media know it as well and id wager from the way he speaks that simon jordan is one of them.

The way he speaks in favour of referees no matter what gives doubts of not only corruption on his part but also of knowing the actual truth of referee corruption and where it comes from. In serie A in the early 2000s juventus(among other teams) used to secretly assign referees to their and their rivals matches and instructed them on what to do... this was all on tape from wiretapped phones. They also paid off some media presenters to speak positively and rationalise referee mistakes that led to juve benefitting... this is how jordan operates as well

I as a youth player was threatened by a ref..the same ref had been reported over 100 times before that and still nothing was done until he was caught match fixing.
