    dude he's so underrated just because he's a O-line man. If you see most of the successful runs by the Chargers, it's on his side. and Herbert never has to worry about getting hit from the left.

      Yeah. It's badass when the dude told Ekler to not chip block Myles and took him on his own. I think the one sack Myles had was from Slater not going one on one but had Ekler helped chip block

    Honestly, I want to see an O lineman win a ROTY some time soon. I doubt it will happen anytime soon, but there are many linemen deserving of ROTY in NFL history

      Yeah the sad thing about offensive line play is there a huge blocks and plays that can’t be rewarded. Like there isn’t a stat for how many stunts you stopped or how many 3rd and longs you protected for.

    He dominated Chase Young in College as well. He's a stud. For a rookie his technique is just so polished. The Chargers are set at LT for the next 12 years.

      He wasnt quite as good as McNeill but King Dunlap was that dude for a few years and Okung had a pro bowl season. Oh and Brian Bulaga is pretty damn good the chargers have had pretty good lines through the years

    I concur! Rashawn Slater was @ the top of my 1st rd wishlist for GMEN. Instead Gettleman once again reached with a 1st rd pick. Incredible! Passed on Herbert! Passed on Slater among a slew of great immediate impact. Instead Jints are stuck with Andrew Thomas & Dave Brown Jr. Cot damn! mm-Mm-MM! 🤦‍♂️

    Hope he gets to have reps against Myles Garrett (not just cause he will destroy Storm). I want to see just how real Slater is. Garrett is a top 3 pass rusher. If he can hold his own, Slater is one of the best in the league, not just rookies

    Such impressive use of hands for a rookie. That's always the toughest adjustment to the NFL - getting your hand placement right on much more athletic rushers. That's something Penei Sewell has struggled with early. Slater is elite

    Damn straight and I'm glad Slater is getting some love from national media. Next to QB, LT is arguably one of the most difficult position in football for a rookie. But it's also the least glamour position on offense. He will not get it because it'll likely go to Chase assuming he continues his current play level. But Slater having his name there is a victory in and of itself

      I guess you didn't watch the Chiefs game. Orlando Brown Jr, owned Myles. Slater will have no problem handling Myles, especially in the 2nd half of the game. They will probably put Myles on the other side.
