The UFC Lightweight Violence Circle: Gaethje, Oliveira, Holloway, Poirier and Chandler - Спорт
The best UFC Era ever?
Nah Nurmagomedov Era. Intro Wrestling/Grappling & Calf kicks
Adds Eddie Alvarez in this circle and..YEAH!
Easy, i've been there for all of them and it's never been better.
It has to be the current era. I’m always so pumped to see the next generation of fighters and seeing how the sport evolves. The kids these days can do it all. wrestling, BJJ, boxing, Muay Thai and it’s all at a high level Just look at Ilia Topuria. I couldn’t be more excited about the future of MMA
Are you asking which ufc era is the best sure Pride fc 😮
We are really Blessed with the Lightweight Division
Yes. It's the absolute best, been like that for years. It's got so many more athletes in that weight class
The best is blessed baby!!
i been saying Lightweight is the absolute best. Dustin Justin Charles Islam Arman Connor Chandler Holloway Ferguson Pimblett
so much to like about Lightweight
Blessed? With violence and pain? That checks out with what God normally does…
Here after Holloway just put on one of his best performances on Justin. Literally created magic and an unforgettable moment in the ending. He has cemented himself as one of the most entertaining fighters EVER
Would love to see max and dustin run it back one more time.
@@chrisbowles6891 YOU SEEN IT TWICE AND KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED BOTH TIMES. SHUT YOUR USELESS MOUTH NEXT TIME YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT SPEAKING JR.
Nah brother, you're wrong, he's not one of the most, he's HIM. He is THE
It's criminal that these types of fighter documentaries don't have more views, incredibly well made
imagine Chandler didnt wait for conor all this time or didnt do Ultimate Fighter...
he would had fought at least two times since poirier..
Yea it’s honestly pretty pathetic how long he’s sat out specifically for that fight 🤦🏽♂️
Like let it go bro… all the callouts, the promo cuts… they all became cringe af after hearing it so many times
@@philosopher1130 as Canelo would say "he wants a paayyydaaayyyy"
He has people in his corner who understand they can't stop him from getting more unnecessary brain damage, so they dangle Connor in front of him like a carrot on a stick to save Chandler from himself
And he would have most likely lost… he’s been in the ufc for over 3 years and fought 5 times and lost 3 of those, he won against Dan hooker and old on a skid Ferguson. His bellator record isn’t anything impressive, no names and fights with the same people multiple times. He was beat twice by will brooks of all people 😂 chandler has a good mouth and that’s about it
@@1975Adamdhe’s lost against the best of the lightweight division who have all showed it can go either way on any given night
Having one major promotion makes it possible to have all the best fight the best. ufc is a true generational gem right now.
Would be nice if those dudes got paid properly tho lol
one fc has a higher viewership worldwide
@@thomasclark9564 Only Asia cares about one. they don't have the best fighters. Sorry but Asians aren't the best fighters.
@@bchillbong-uf2io mighty mouse.
@@bchillbong-uf2io Jonathan haggerty
Great timing on this video, a week before UFC 300 added several more instances of memorable violence. MAX IS HIM!
Nobody has ever left me in complete awe after perfromances like Max Holloway has.
Charles Olivera
Jon Jones enters the room
@@pathfinder5217
Tbh I'd be lying if I said I watched Jon live in his younger days. Unfortunately I didnt. I have watched fights back but it's not the same. He was in the midst of his DC rivarly when I got really into watching it.
@@Lamebred. Fair point. Let me just remind you of how much a Phenom Jon Jones really is. Only started training in MMA since 2007. Racked up 6 stoppages and was signed by UFC in 2008 (youngest fighter on the roster) Racked up another 7 wins and was UFC champion by 2011. (Also becoming the youngest UFC champion ever at 23 years old)
Basically in just over 4 years he went from zero MMA training to being the King of the light-heavyweight division beating up legends of the sport. Never been done before and it’s unlikely to be done ever again.
Max is such an effective striker. His boxing is so crisp and accurate. If you watch the slow motion replays of his finishes- you can appreciate just how quick and deadly Max is.
But I’m still a little worried about him getting in the ring with Gaethje. I hope it’s not a repeat of Rory MacDonald and Robbie Lawler.
Dustin is so underrated
He is
Coming from another native of South Louisiana… he’s not underrated. If anything he’s overrated.
He’s always been the best of the rest, not best of the best. He a brawler nothing special
Not really he has NEVER WON A real title
@@scottmalcolmwhat does that have to do with him being underrated?
@@drshin9893name another brawler with Dustin’s resume i’ll wait
In the last years the ufc lightweight division was the most crowded with killers.
conor mc gregor, khabib, justin gaethje, dustin poirier, charles oliveira, tony ferguson, michael chandler, dan hooker, paul Felder edson barboza, eddie alvarez, kevin lee, antony pettis, cerrone, makhachev ...
Minus Conor and Dan. They're not really killers
@@Last_Chance. khabib, 29 wins of 29 fights without a bruise on his face.
Tony at one point was on a 12 wins streak transforming the face of his opponents into burgers for years.
Justin Gaethje is a monster of a fighter, my fav in this division.
Makachev is n°1 p for p and erases everyone, one after the other.
Poirier, Oliveira, are not killers either? really ?
The light weight division of the last 6 years was filled with
killers and delivered a succession of insane fights,
the level of which was rarely seen in ufc history.
I’m not even a ufc fan, but a muai thai, K1 kick boxing one.
This shit plays out like a DJmix….. the intro transitions are so damn smooth! Then into the doc itself is awesome.
These guys were truly a blessing.
Amazing video here! All these dudes are can’t miss fighters
Justin is an absolute legend
Man I love this video you put all my favorite fighters only mcregor is missing here for me, all those fighters are the true definition of a warrior amazing love them all want to see them all as undisputed champs
One day i think we'll look back on these guys as the Gladiators of the LW division.
Meh......
@@Last_Chance.What? Are u slow
It’ll be such a heartbreak when these guys are gone
Seeing all their journeys from beginning to end is truly special. Best era of UFC.
i've got goosebumps after this
Great vid bro
Wild, the divisions that were going to be dismantled, gave us some of THE best fights and fighters of all time.
Charles birthday makes him a “snake” in Chinese numerology and he just happens to strangle his opponents well 😂
Honorabel mentions: Elcucie, the underground king
0:13 max be looking amigos
I thought I was the only one who still remembers the reebok era
Hello my brother thanks so much you make good videos
Thanks for watching brother
Still such a shame they took the belt from Charles when someone like DC was clearly cheating on the scale ( Towel Gate ) Still, one of the most savage runs in ufc history
i only wish i would've seen this video before the fight. Arguably the best ending to a fight in combat sports history
If only this videos creator knew what was gonna happen in the 300 BMF fight. Historic is an understatement.
I just wanna say great video but More Importantly Thank You to Every Fighter on this list from each one of us who love the art of violence , These Warriors of our age Define the meaning Never Back Down and have produced some of the most Epic Entertaining Battles inside of the octagon in our Era. Each of their Names Shall be Caved into the walls of The modern Coliseums as Hero's of our time, the closest living Embodiments of the gladiators of old.
Thank you for the support
Blessed!!
the fights between poirier , gaethje, chandler and olivera.best fight triangle
LW division is a king's division. Being LW champion means a lot. It means being best of the best. Ruthless. Brutal. Being top 5 at LW means you are one of deadliest people on Earth.
Nice way to frame 300, man! 🤙🏽
The difference in frames for max between the Dustin fight at 155 then recently against Justin is crazy
thumbnail got my ah to watch so props bro
little did we know, max vs justin at the end will be known forever. absolutely crazy
I will forever respect and remember these 4 men
5*
Every Dustin fight is worth the money too bad he doesn't even get 10% of the money
Love how you'll conveniently ignored *Eddie Alvarez* considering how he's an integral part of the triangle of violence.
Eddie

Justin ➡ Chandler
Meh....
How'd you do the little arrows like that
@Last_Chance. Shut up
@@Luke_cockhold didn't mean to hurt your feelings there little guy. Try not to be such a sensitive little beta
UFC 300 WAS THE BEST FUCKING CARD IN HISTORY WHAT A TIME TO BE A UFC FAN
Max wasn't ready for the first time he went to 155, what I think is amazing is the accomplishment of conor max and Dustin had from where they all first ment.
The Mount Rushmore of Violence
Max, Olives, Dustin, Justin, Chandler.
155lb is like murderers roe of the UFC especially now with Holloway bumping up. He should've been there all along.
Max is going back to 145
Best era ever
gaethje vs chandler has to go down as one of if not the best fight in the ufc.
Oof..awesome era. I think Tony Ferguson needed to be on this list too.
Agreed
violent era
Lightweight been the baddest, between most man on the planet falling into that category and it being perfect balance between having strength but still requiring technique it is most competitive. Now they had decades to work on best practice from young tailored for this game.
154 lbs is average weight of all man worldwide. So lightweight is division of average weight people worldwide with 155lbs
elite
Only if you waited a little bit longer to make this video it would’ve been the perfect cherry on top to include Holloway vs Gaethje
The four Kings of MMA dogs: Poirier, Holloway, Gaethje, Olivera.
UFC Treehundred baby!!!
I think Dan Hooker atleast deserves an honorable mention. He was in some scraps there for awhile.
I just found out Charles and max fought on my 13th birthday and I wasn’t even a fan at the time😔😔😔
I often wonder how Conor would have done during the last 5 years in those group if he hadn’t switched his life priorities. I think this was the greatest division in the greatest era we have seen so far
55 will always shake out to be the best. Bell curves are real.
No curve needed
“ if I went 5 rounds with chandler he woulda died” is cold af
Eddie Alvarez started this era
The killers we have seen in this generation of fighters will be unforgettable. The lightweight division has been a gift from the MMA gods for a decade now
I agree with you.i talk smack cause it's such an old thing.i actually like Chandler a lot as a fighter, but I think it would be hilarious if Connor roadhoused him
the scale offset due to resetting to foreign units is hilarious. just leave whatever setting it has 😂
is comparing two numbers that difficult?
get outta there man!
Can't wait for the bmf title even though it was a joke now it seems real
Great video, tho Eddie Alvarez should have been in this video
Dan Hooker should really be in here
U can't forget everything Ferguson has done.
and to think 155 was nearly discontinued…
Chandler keeps waiting for McGregor cause he knows he can't beat anyone else
Lol he's waiting for the money
Without the light weight division ufc would be shit.
45ers and 55ers are carrying the ufc
They always have
So, all we need now is for Max to beat Chandler and the circle will be complete.
Dustin is never gonna be the champ if Islam doesn't move up
We gotta have Charles vs Islam 2 asap if he wins at 300
All them guys on the thumbnail. Hahah khabib made most of em look silly
Starring: Pourier, Gaethje, Oliveira, Holloway
Khabib appeared once in a background, Islam not mentioned at all
That's a very weird way to tell a story of a lightweight division, don't you think?
Poor Dan Hooker got F’ed up by everybody on this list 😂
Lightweight has always been the best division, I guess due to being the average human size so more fighters = more competitive. most memorable fighters are lightweights before the ones mentioned in this video. Bj penn, Frankie Edgar, Benderson, Pettis, Jens Pulvert, Nate Diaz, Gilbert Melendez, Eddie Alvarez, Gomi, Ferguson, Khabib, Barboza and of course Andy "warrior" Wang....., point is there is always some bad mfs in that division.
Sorry the interm belt is NOT A CHAMPIONSHIP BELT ITS LIKE SECOND BEST OR RUNNER UP -
Dustin “ its like I’m in a dream “ 😂😂😂😂
What i don't want is Max to come out of this looking and then falling like Tony..I'd rather Justin just kick his legs all fight and Max not be anymore punch drunk than he already is. May the best man win.
Chandler, lol. More like one of the Jesters of the UFC lightweight division, beat Tony on a losing streak and Hooker.
My name is Sam Oates bideford and demi the dog
Let's not ignore the fact that Khabib mowed through all of these guys like they were high schoolers.
And then quit the sport in his prime with no rematches.
@@crashstitches79 had nothing left to prove. Completely dominated everyone.

Damn man, every single of one these fighters are such beast on their own, Charles a notch higher, but at the same time they can't touch the Dagestans! And I don't even like em Dagestans!
Cool, looking thumbnail
Chandler only won 2 fights in the UFC, correct me if I’m wrong
He won a couple fights in strikeforce 09-2010 does that count?😂
He's still a savage hanging with the best. He never got smoked by anybody
No such thing as mma math
Why is Charles up front
because all his fights are entertaining, kill or get killed . best finisher in ufc!!
@@anirudhr9175nah. Dustin poirier or almost anyone else is a better fighter
Cuz he beat all them
You forgot Eddie Alvarez.
Holly Holm should’ve been the first fight. Her style puts me to sleep.
No Tony Ferguson?😢
puts in max but not islam not even a mention
The best division ever!!! Look all this real warriors!!! And then boring islam win against Oliveira and he ruined division, with fighting nobody!!! 2 years he didn’t defend title once in this division!!! I hope Porier can shock the world 🌎 and win title!!! that will be beautiful!!! Chandler could be champion over 5 years if he has fighter IQ
Bad A$$ thumbnail
Honesty: Today we are gonna see how most of these guys ducked Islam the Champ and fought eachother and yelled I am the best ever......
Charles is the only one who isn’t afraid of fighting anyone.
islam ducked justin in feb
In fighting game they go for the bigger purse.. and Islam was not.. period
@@Lucaz99 I cant agree. Everyone is afraid. Its only a few that can overcome it
@@jebliiii Charles fought Islam though? Gave him his title shot? Then fought Dariush and Tsarukyan, 2 killers on big winning streaks. How is he ducking anyone or afraid, I don’t get it
