Made oxtail today. But my Mom's recipe. Lots of red wine, carrots, celery, garlic, fresh herbs, Italian tomatoes, bay leaf. Slow cooked for hours and hours on just a simmer.

Oxtail stew,my family absolutely loves it. I always have some oxtail in the freezer.i prefer cooking my oxtail in a cast iron pot in the oven.

I haven't had oxtail stew in years. Here in Canada, it is quite pricey, especially where I am (northern small-town Ontario) Just two of those pieces would be 175 rands. I think I might have to splurge and make some though.

That's where I discovered my instant pot's worth Bonita! Mine sat on the shelf for TWO years...just do your browning either on the stove and then pressure cook or on Sautee function in the I.P. itself in a FRACTION of the slow cooking time!👍
