why my P-51D Mustang could not fly? I put it on the ground, and put the velocity of propeller as maximum, it could drive on the ground but did not fly into sky? why? the speed of propeller is not fast enough???
Man that thing works great! Might buy one as I never flown a 4 channel rc plane, and the expert mode should be fun once you get the hang of it. It looks so realistic whenever it does a roll
It’s like watching the real p51 from ww2 when you can just see the plane and the skyline. You inspired me to go and just buy one for myself hahaha great video!
Yes except for the colour scheme. This is the original version from Volantex. The version on Banggood is sold under the Eachine brand name. And I saw recently that it's being resold in the UK under a another brand name. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Nice review Dom, this looks like a great little plane - and must be way under 250g! Is this exactly the same as the Eachine P-51 you reviewed last week?
Interesting question. The Eachine P-51 is the OEM version that VolantexRC produce for them. VolantexRC told me that their P-51 has some slight improvements in the quality of the scheme application and the stabilisation...but I'll be honest, I didn't perceive much difference between the two in flyability. The schemes are slightly different. I've not checked if the prices are significantly different. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Same exact photos as on Banggood for the Eachine version 😂 ... (which is about half the price.) This Chinese "musical-branding-chairs" is getting more and more confusing. This one is Volantex, which I thought was a Hobbyking-owned brand, but no sign of it on Hobbyking, And of course Banggood have always sold selected Volantex models but no sign of this one...And then of course there's the XK X450 (which I was utterly sold on after seeing your review) which is now appearing with a smart new livery but crapper (Volantex-looking) Tx as the "JJRC M02"... Is there any wonder we get headaches sometimes? 🤕
Well, I’ve had it for a year and as long as you keep it in good shape, you’re good. The powers might break every now and then, but it takes some hits with a tree. If the thing to put the power on goes back just pull it out again.
I just received mine after a lengthy slow boat from China! I'm having a difficult time fitting the battery into the compartment and don't want to force it! Any tips on wiring placement to properly seat the battery? Thanks.
Nice looking plane! Question: Is manual mode actually manual mode or is the gyro holding the position of the stick? I ask this because I bought a plane that stated 3D Mode, however, there was no full manual mode of the plane. Thanks for the review and I'll see you in the Air!
A quick question to Jason: why my P-51D Mustang could not fly? I put it on the ground, and put the velocity of propeller as maximum, it could drive on the ground but did not fly into sky? why? the speed of propeller is not fast enough???
Hey flyers, question! How do you know when to replace the transmitter 4xAA batteries? Will it give a warning beep or flash of some sort? The idea of losing the transmitter and having the plane disappear into the distance sounds disastrous but there's no mention of this in the manual. Thanks!
With the aeroplane on the ground, on a flat surface, and switched on and transmitter on...make sure the elevator is in the horizontal neutral position. If not adjust the wire so it is. When flying up high use the trim switch for the elevator to get it to fly level with hands off the sticks. If all this doesn't work you may need to recalibrate the gyro. Instructions for that are in the manual
In Beginner and Medium mode it's very good...but I probably demonstrated Expert mode which is very sensitive and utterly pointless. Don't let that put you off getting one though.
great little bird that there dom i wonder if it comes in mode 1 as would love to grab one for the collection , i have the ares dv fokker around the same scale size and thats a blast to fly and great fun , thanks for the video Dom cheers bud from Australia
No OEM mode 1 available but the v761 protocol has been hacked lately and is available on the latest multi-mode module radios. So mode 1 can be accessed through them.
No. Modern Spektrum transmitters use the DSMX protocol. These Volantex and Eachine mini warbirds apparently use the v761 protocol. Info here www.multi-module.org/using-the-module/protocol-details/v761. You need a multi-protocol transmitter like the RadioMaster TX16S to be able to bind using that protocol. Much better value radio than the overpriced poor quality Spektrum radios.

Which is better? Mustang or Corsair
@@shulersl Not much in it. I prefer the P51 for its looks.
Mustang
The fact we can fly what essentially was detailed 1/48 scale shelf model aircraft is amazing
Excellent review! Sure people will love your post😎

@@EssentialRC They've changed the colour scheme on the eachine one so it is identical.

What is the top speed of this rc plane
Mine broke I had to buy another 1 and it broke too shitty plane don’t buy

Put the battery on the left and put the wire on the right WARNING put the pointy bit of the battery at the top or it will get stuck
What a pity they don't sell these on mode1 instead of the US preference mode 2 or better still both modes.

No, gyro is not holding position of the stick in expert mode. Hope that helps. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Great video on a pretty cool little model of a P-51.
Thanks a lot!
Quick question can you add bombs to the plane?
Excellent plane
What is the suggested range?

Excellent review and very nice flying 👍
Thanks! 👍
amazing to see you blaze it in expert mode
Too sensitive though for most
@@EssentialRC yeah that's what i've seen on other videos
did you try to activate one key return?
No. I don't see that as a useful feature.
I have a question how do u make it maintain up in the air cause mine flys but it won’t stay in the air it goes down?

If you don't put the wheels on hiw do you land or get it out of the sky?
Land it on its belly!
I also wanted to ask how do you insert the battery do you put it in vertically or horizontaly?
Flying it today so will check
@@EssentialRC ok thanks
@@EssentialRCdon't worry I got the battery to fit in, I'm going to take it for a spin at a close by park🙂
Was it windy or just so twitchy to fly ? Don’t believe a beginner would stand a chance !

Got mine off of amazon and it was about $120
In my country it only cost $30-$90
is your plane still in good condition? cos i might get one depending on how long it lasts.
Max wind speeds allowed?
Hey.. fast question.. does that 52 feel nose heavy to u?
No

@@theoztreecrasher2647 Cool! Thanks for sharing that. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
What is mode 1?
Throttle on right stick, Elevator/Pitch on left stick. Mode 2 is opposite.
Thank you, great review!
Glad it was helpful!
Are ther wheels for it
Yes
Do you connect the battery first then turn on the transmitter or do you turn on the transmitter first? Thanks!
I've done both but best to turn on transmitter first.
how you you know when the RC transmitter has low battery?
I think it beeps when it gets to low voltage. Put new AAs in the transmitter and they will last for a very long time.
Are these slow
thank you for showing me the plane I appreciate thanks thumbs up
No problem 👍
I got my first p51 and when inverted I hit the ground and split the plane in half.
Glue it back together then!
@@EssentialRC oh don’t worry I used crazy glue and flew it a few hours later 😂
Are Volantex and Eachine the same company?
Don't know if they're the same company, but this is the exact same plane as the Eachine P51.
tt
Does that transmitter work on your 750mm Volantex P-51D?
Nope.
Hey mate, Can I bind this with a spektrum transmitter?
No. Modern Spektrum transmitters use the DSMX protocol. These Volantex and Eachine mini warbirds apparently use the v761 protocol. I wont watch your channel if you keep putting mid roll ads in
I don't! I think UA-cam does it automatically. I'll see if I can remove them.
