Amen. If the passengers hadn’t acted when they did, the Capital Building in Washington, D.C. would have hit, and possibly members of the U.S. Congress & the U.S. Senate would have been severely injured or killed.

I work right near the memorial in New York and while I can appreciate and respect what they did with it in honoring the victims and heroes, it’s disrespectful to say the least when I see people taking selfies and making duck faces and “influencers” posing in front of a victim’s name for Instagram.

I used to say all the time to my boys when we were leaving the house "Let's Roll" and after Sept 11th I NEVER said it again. After Todd Beamer used that signal to the passengers that had made a plan to storm the cockpit, I just could never use it again in such a casual statement to my boys to leave the house. I will never forget it when I heard that is what he said..... I was stunned. And I am in awe of the bravery of so many of these people. It is always better to stand on the neck of the enemy than to sit and wait to see what they are going to do....God Bless all those on 93

Yes, very well put....... When they found out that terrorist had already attacked with jets the WTC in New York and the change of direction they knew what was happening. They knew it wasn't like in hostage situations of the past were they want money or freedom of jailed leaders, this was different. All of them knew it was do or die as they were dead anyway so they bravely decided to protect as many people in buildings from using their plane as a missile too by sacrificing themselves. So YES they were the first line of resistance.

I was able to visit the memorial in August. It is ridiculously peaceful there. It was a beautiful day and there was a slight breeze. There was a line doe, grazing out by the Boulder that marks the impact area. It was, unbelievably poignant and serene to see. The visitors center is very well done , very powerful. I really encourage you all to visit if able. It was a wonderful stop on our way through Pennsylvania back home to Ohio. I didn’t listen to the phone calls made from those on the plane calling their loved ones as I knew I would cry and it was busy in there and didn’t want to distract from the museum and the patrons but it is a very heavy place to visit.

I visited this memorial, back when it was all outdoors. No museum, no paved walkway, etc. All the memorials were outside & there was a wall with various items, donated by visitors. It was 09/09/07, two days before President Bush visited. I was a Red Cross first responder, on my way home from Hurricane Ernesto. My partner & I listened to the stories of the passengers on board the flight that day. It was an emotional experience. There wasn't a dry eye there. I was told that once the new buildings, walkways, etc. were erected, the donated memorials were destroyed. It's a shame because there were a lot of cool items & many had personal messages written on them. I'm glad I took a lot of photos. In the beginning, the park consisted of a small building for the employees to use. There were wooden benches in rows, containing the names of the passengers & crew of Flight 93. We could see in the distance, where the plane crashed. The guide told us that had they hesitated & stayed in the air another 30 seconds or so, the plane would've taken out the school, which held every child from k-12! I'm glad I had the opportunity to visit the site, & pay my respects. I also visited Ground Zero when I visited NYC in 06. How anyone could contain such hatred in their hearts...I can't wrap my mind around it! May God be with those who were personally affected by these terrible attacks.

I cried looking at the pictures of the victims. Innocent peoples lives taken by idiotic people . I’m so sorry for people who lost their mom, dad , grandma , grandpa , sister , brother , children , etc.

Makes you wonder what would have happened if the plane had left on time so the passengers wouldn't have had knowledge of what had happened at WTC!!

So sad especially when ya see that simulation of how that plane was flying into the ground my stomach doing flip flops . I can imagine how for some of those passengers how terrifying knowing they gonna die either way with the hijackers or the hijackers were intent on committing a mass murder and gonna put the plane into the ground if they not gonna reach there target destination.

I was one month out of the police academy, working in Somerset county, on that morning. I will never forget that scene, or the heroes on that plane...no matter how trendy it is to forget.
My friend Katie is a park ranger at that site. If you ever see her there, please tell her "Thank you." She is a steward of the heroes history.

They didn't feel anything and were not aware they were crashing. They were supersonic when they hit the floor the crash occurred faster than nerves conduct electricity they didn't even see the crash occurring. Wasn't there a farmer that saw it fly overhead and heard a sonic boom?

The terrorists were willing to sacrifice their lives in order to kill people.
Ironically, the passengers sacrificed their lives and saved people.
There's a kind of poetry about that.

I am a little obsessed with 9/11 and especially the passengers on the flights. I simply cannot get my head around what these people went through. I’m ex cabin crew with a thirty year career, and I know every sound and nuance onboard a jet liner. I can sadly imagine everything that went on; from the innocent happy chat of the crew starting their duty day, the clink of the breakfast trays, to the deafening whine of the engines and the cracks and creaks of the aircraft being put under unbearable pressure. It defies belief what happened on September 11 2001. God rest their souls. I also wonder why anyone would give these Rangers such a stupid, unflattering hat.
