The Rauma Railway, Norway

The railway line from Andalsnes to Dombas in Norway is among the most scenic lines in the world. Today the journey is offered with modern railcars. The video reminds of the diesel-hauled service trains and steam specials back in 1997/1998.
Die Zugfahrt von Andalsnes nach Dombas in Norwegen führt über eine der landschaftlich schönsten Strecken der Welt. Heute verkehren dort nur moderne Triebwagen. Das Video erinnert an die dieselbespannten Wagenzüge und an Dampflokfahrten in den Jahren 1997 und 1998. Es ergänzt das Themenheft 1/2022 „Norwegen“ der Zeitschrift FernExpress.

Nein, das Tempo ist original. Allerdings sind einige Szenen mit starkem Weitwinkel gedreht.

hi thank you for this information. Did the bridge collapse caused any casualties?
VY still shows a longer route for example in October and indicating a replacement bus in the part of the journey. Though in September seems the normal route.
Oslo to Åndalsnes seems possible with a change in train. Is it advisable to do Rauma line in one day from Oslo or a stop should be taken in Åndalsnes
Further, if one wants to do the Flåm line from Åndalsnes i.e after doing the Rauma line, what's the best route? Does one need to come all the way back to Oslo to do Flåm line or there is some shortcut? Many thanks!
