As an American who played youth baseball, Mizuno made incredible gloves and cleats. I'm not sure about now, but Mizuno stuff was just so damn reliable and durable.
If all brands paid the same, most pros would wear mizunos. Thats why u see so many retired ones or non contract ones switch to mizuno when their deal with nike or adidas ends
Mizuno make easily among the best quality and class boots in the world. Its only due to Mizuno being a fairly small company (in comparison to Nike and Adidas) that they dont have a giant marketing and sponsorship budget. If they did a LOT more players in the top leagues would be wearing them.

Mizunos we’re pretty popular in the uk when I was a kid, in the 90’s. There were a lot more people wearing different brands like them and lotto with the odd rich kid wearing coloured Cronos(?), puma kings or adidas predators. I rarely see anyone wearing anything but adidas, Nike and puma now
They have had periods where they have had prominant stars use their boots. Growing up a player I loved that used Mizunos was Rivaldo many years ago. Maybe around 1998 / 2000?
Yes. I only know as I was about to buy a pair and that led me down the rabbit hole of finding your good channel and finding out about Sergio Ramos. I’m in my 40s so that nostalgia with Rivaldo gives an old school vibe.
Mizuno just posted record profits this financial quarter. Especially with their football ⚽ boots. They more than doubled their sales. So it seems you are right that they are starting to grow....
I have to disagree on them making some of the best boots. I played from 8-16 in academies and then until I was 35 just casually and I tried a few different pairs of Mizunos and I personally never thought much of them. However, I’ll caveat that by saying I have wide feet so perhaps the fit issues were down to me. Personally, I found Puma to be the most comfortable and best to play in for my feet, with the classic Puma King being the best
I played all my life in Nike boots and recently switched to Mizuno because i saw them on many players especially Ramos who is one of my favs and i don’t regret it, at all, i truly think they are the best boots overall, a bit more pricey but they are worth it
They’ve been around for years with big names like Patrick Kluivert,Roberto Carlos and Rivaldo but the problem is they’re not a brand that spent on marketing which is why you rarely see them on the elite leagues
Mizuno is a small manufacturer compare to Nike and Adidas. They don’t spend a lot of money on endorsement. Nonetheless, all the boots they make are high quality. Always love my Mizunos, too bad they killed the wave ignitus line
A lot of Brazilian players used to wear Mizuno. Even the ones with black out boots. Most of them were Mizuno. I remember Rivaldo and Dwight Yorke both wearing Mizuno.
“In the coming years” back in 2011 I was a boot addict and never missed soccerbible’s weekly boot spotting, there were few players wearing mizunos, I don’t think they have grown their market share in the past 13 years…
Because the marketing strategy still in the past, instead of paying millions to stars, they should go for the academy and support the young athletes who are in the way to become pro
Japan sport products are superior in quality and comfort... It just they don't pay bilion for marketing and superstar players for sponsorship. Best running shoes technology is Asics, Best badminton equipment is Yonex, And Mizuno sport shoes (not only football boots) was among the best... Japan sport equipment just don't get enough expose to Western Market but their products are popular in Asia...
I have a pair of mizunos and they are fabulous only con is that the ones with kangaroo leather wears off after like one football season but love mizunos other then that
Also cuz pro footballers get exact customs to their feet, so no breakage time required. Therefore it doesn't matter what boots they wear, what matters who's gonna pay them the most to wear em.
I'm not a top player, I'm just a bozo who liked Adidas until out of curiosity I got a pair of Morelias. I am never wearing anything else than Mizuno ever again.
like 1 year ago I bought Mizunos and I got injured due to the studs being too high and unsuitable for synthetic. I had to change them after about 2 weeks, they gave me a back contracture...
I got a pair of mizuno marellia beta 3s for my son, I probably of got him the new synthetic boot The Alpha, because he said they were only ok, but he's too used to boots with a bare foot feel, the beta 3s were just too plush and padded for his liking. He did were them a lot for training on artificial grass, which wrecks most boot but the build quality of the made in Japan boots and the circular studs are great for it, they still look brand new. So while I think they are elite boots they are not for everyone, luckily they fit me so they're not going to waste, I just wish I had a pair when I was younger because they're the best leather boot I've ever tried, 2 x better than old school adidas copas
They’re not making some of the best boots but they are making THE BEST BOOTS ever
recently switched from Tiempo to Morelia Neo because of the K-leather. Mizuno is just the shit, from to stud to the leather everything is excellent

Best pair of boots I've owned.
Rivaldo’s white Mizunos were a banger for me. I started to like white boots since then

Sergio Ramos wore this brand some time back
They’re too expensive for being a boot not many people wear. But they do feel nice
