I have a tip for anyone going through old baby clothes. If you don't have a vivid memory of your baby wearing the actual clothing item, let it go. I had like 7 bins of my daughter's clothes through the first 4 years of her life and I cried when I had to let some go, but I slowly realized she didn't even wear half the stuff in there and most of it I had to memory of her wearing so it made it much easier after realizing this. Now as she gets older it's so much easier getting rid of old clothes without holding attachment
This is a really good idea & advice! Thank you for sharing. I’ll have to keep that in mind when I tackle my girls room!
Lovely advice. I decluttered my 2 younger sisters clothing (my parents simply had no attachment to their clothes, but I did). I’m much older than my sisters (7 & 11 yrs older) but I kept a handful of clothes that were their favorites to wear (age 2-6). We have many photos of them wearing these handful of their favorites. So it’s nice we kept the same articles that they are wearing in those photos when we look back. ❤
I have kept the onesie from the hospital and a couple of dresses in a box to revisit and show her when she gets older.
I had to learn the same!
One of my favorite quotes to help me not hold onto things is “Love People, Use things”. But I have difficulty letting go of certain things as well!
I love that saying! Thank you!
Thanks Whitney for talking about how we that are sentimental people hang on to stuff and keep it “just in case” and all of what you said about this topic. It really has helped me. ❄️ Maddie is so cute! 🎀 The bathroom looks great! This messy to minimal motivation will be great to have when I start this as well.
It’s so hard! I totally get it! Thank you for watching 🤍
I am so bad at keeping things that I think are sentimental! But you’re right! Sometimes circling back to stuff later on makes it easier to declutter! A lot of the time I’m like why did I even keep that in the first place 🤦🏻♀️😂
I do that alllll the time!! I’ll keep something and end up decluttering it years later 😂
The baby clapping made my day. Thank you. 🎉
I kept only the baby clothes that my children wore in pictures. It seemed sweet to look at a picture and hold up the little outfit they were wearing. This was before cell phones so there were just a handful of professional pictures. I've never regretted getting rid of baby clothes.
I like this idea! Thank you!
CHECK OUT PART 2! ua-cam.com/video/xBJOYzYzsy0/v-deo.html
Hey guys! Welcome to my first messy to minimal video!! I’ll be taking you through my bathroom! I hope you enjoy! 🤍
Hi whitney thanks for this motivating video ❤️🤩 i love ur channel and ur one of my favorite
@@shairmainejoycecole9299 thank you so much! I appreciate your support 🤍
I’d have loved to see the amount you got rid of 😊
@@pennylilley6183 great idea! I’ll be sure to show that in the next video! Here I got rid of 2 trash bags full of stuff to donate! ☺️
Looking forward to this series. I have been on a decluttering journey myself. It feels so good to get stuff out of my house.
Such a freeing feeling!! Thank you for watching 🤍
Vinegar as a cleaner is the best!! I like mixing vinegar and rubbing alcohol since alcohol is a disinfectant and it works amazing. I’m so excited for this series Whitney!
Ooooo good idea!! I’ll add alcohol next time! Thanks for the tip! I’m excited too, thanks so much for watching 🤍
Yes! Vinegar. Alcohol, a touch of dawn, sometimes lemon essential oil does wonders.
I needed that baby miss way through the video! Thanks!!! Great job!
Thank you, Whitney! Great video!!
Thanks for watching! 🤍
Thank you so much for sharing this season in your life with us it is so encouraging!! I was wondering if after you declutter a room or a space could you also show us the pile or the amount of stuff you decluttered? Not every item just the pile of stuff over all. It really helps keep the motivation! Thank you so much for sharing what you have!
Yes I’ll definitely make sure to share that in the next video!! I meant to do it in this one but totally forgot 😅 thanks so much for watching 🤍
Thank you!!
I love watching decluttering videos. I am starting the New Year cleaning out and decluttering again. Thanks for more motivation. Your baby is adorable 👶💕
Yay!! I’m so excited we’re getting some decluttering done! And thank you so much! She’s the best 🤍
Great one Whitney, proud of you!
Thank you so much!
Nice work! Thank you for your inspiration! Happy 2023! 🎉
Thank you! Happy new year!
You did a great job! I can image how great it feels to start the day in your reset space. And you're inspirational 🥰
Thank you so much!! 🤍
Very enjoyable and calming to watch ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!🤍
Loved this series! My husband and I are the same when it comes to sensory overload from clutter! I start to feel irritable loll I like to use a vinegar mix to give my shower a quick clean. 🤍
Thank you girl! I appreciate you watching 🤍
Great job decluttering. Loved this it’s very helpful. ❤
Thank you so much 🤍
Looks fantastic!😍 such a great feeling!
Thank you! It really is!
The decluttering QUEEN👑 I (and probably many others) found you through your Konmari decluttering videos years ago. You’ve helped me so much!
Aww thank you so much!! I’m glad I can help 🤍
Love this video! I have a 12 week old and although I was already very conscious about what I use I’m even more so now. Dishwashing liquid is one of the best cleaners out there! I also make my own surface spray now it’s just 200ml each of water and vinegar with a big squirt of dishwashing liquid. Shake it up and spray! It works so well ❤
Your little one is absolutely gorgeous 🥰
Love that idea! I’ll have to try it! And thank you so much 🤍
Excited for this series 🎉
Yay I’m so glad!!
So happy for this!!!😊
Yay!! I’m excited too!!
Yess! So excited for this series on your channel!
Thanks so much girl! 🤍
Feeling inspired to do the same...😁🤩
As a microbiologist, I guarantee that vinegar has no disinfectant properties. If you want to do a deeper cleaning, I highly recommend baking soda (the best in my opinion, it is eco-friendly and safe for health, which is something to consider when we have children at home), chlorine (can be toxic so be careful when using it) or just hot water...
I almost forget, baking soda with vinegar is excellent for removing stubborn dirt
Awesome thank you for the insight! I love baking soda for washing fruit & veggies and for deodorizing! I’ll have to try it for hard to clean areas!
Hey Whitney!! Great video thank you for the motivation! 🫶 Happy new year 💕
Hey thank you so much girl! Happy new year 🤍
This is my favorite kind of video. I’ve been on a decluttering mission too.
It’s the best feeling!
Great video Whitney can’t wait to see the next one!
Thank you so much! 🤍
Hi Whitney! I just discovered your channel and loving this messy to minimal series!! I can’t wait to watch part 2 and 3 and declutter along with you.
Thank you so much for being here! 🤍
Looking forward to this series I am also working to decluttering this year
Awesome! I’m excited to share!
Loved the video. Looks great. Thanks for the motivation.
Thank you for watching!
Such an awesome video! I bet it feels so good to have that done
Thanks for sharing 😊
It really does! Thank you so much for watching!
Wow! Very motivating! Thanks!
Thank you for watching!
I’m so excited to see all these decluttering videos! I really need to tackle my own house and this video gave me the much needed motivation to do so!!!
I’m so glad to hear that! Here’s to clutter free homes this year!
So excited for this because is my main goal over the next few months!
Me too girl!! I’m OVERSTIMULATED 😂
Hi Whitney!
I have so much trouble letting things go… especially my kids stuff. I have all the clothes from when my girls were babies. I have 4 girls so they all wore those clothes. So many memories. I am trying slowly to get rid of stuff that is just taking up space that I know I don’t need or use. This was a great video and very motivational!
Also I love that you wore the same outfit! Makes me feel more normal lol
Yes I’m a sucker for the baby clothes 😢 I can’t help it! I’m going to struggle when I tackle my girls room. Thank you so much for watching!
I love decluttering videos! I decluttering frequently to keep things manageable so I love to watch others on the same train! Thanks for sharing Whitney…you did a great job!
Yes it’s the only way to keep my house manageable as well! Thank you for watching 🤍
Same here.. I started decluttering 2020 and I’m still finding stuff. I’m very sentimental and it’s hard to get rid of stuff! Show us the pile of what you were able to either donate or trash as it’s motivating to see how a small amount of time of what can be gone!
Yess I had someone else say the same! I’ll be sure to show what all I decluttered in my next video for sure! I ended up getting rid of 2 trash bags worth of stuff to donate! Thanks so much for watching 🤍
Wishing you the best on your journey!
Thank you so much!!
Your bathroom looks so amazing after! Was definitely satisfying to see! lol doing a great job Mama!
Thank you so much!!
I loved this video! You definitely motivated me to declutter.. & I also made the switch to safe, non toxic products and never looked back ever since!
I’m so excited to make this switch! It’ll take time but I’m dedicated to cleaner living!
Watched you for the first time and subscribed because I enjoyed it so much. I look forward to watching more and you really encouraged me to declutter more.
Aww thank you so much I love hearing that!! 🤍
Great decluttering job!
Thank you!! 😊
Definitely a fresh bathroom after n yr daughter is adorable! Enjoy yr day too 🙏🙏🙏!
Thank you! You too! 🤍
Her little hand clap was the cutest!

Your voice is so soothing and relaxing. Thank-you for the inspiration to get about some more daily cleaning. Love from Australia :)
Aww thank you so much!! 🤍
I love this!
Thank you!
I infuse vinegar with thyme sprigs for basic cleaning. Thank you for posting your video. It is inspiring to go through and get rid of unwanted or unused items.
Oooo I bet that smells good!!
Super helpful video 🍀 exactly what I need now 👍❤️ love your videos, have a great day 💛
Thank you so much! Have a great day! 🤍
thank you so much for sharing. ilove you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It looks fantastic 💙💙💙💙💙💙
Thank you!!❤
I'm looking forward to this series! I'm trying to be more minimalistic by getting rid of things that I haven't used in months.
Me too!! It feels good to get rid of stuff!
@@whitneypea I agree! When there is so much clutter i feel overwhelmed
It's definitely hard to declutter.. but my house always looks and feels so much cleaner once I do it. Loving this organization! I always ask my husband before organizing or cleaning out his things, too.
It does feel so much better! Like a huge weight gone lol I’m going to struggle the most decluttering baby stuff 😢
@whitneypea Dropps makes amazing dish detergent pods, laundry pods and hand soap pods that not only work well but are also environmentally friendly and made ethically and are shipped in recyclable packaging. For dish detergent and household cleaner, we switched to Young Living but im sure there are others out there without harsh chemicals or synthetic fragrances which disrupt your endocrine system and hormones. Nellies makes a good and clean ingredient toilet bowl cleaner that has worked great for us.
I loved that I stumbled across your video and hope these recommendations were helpful!
Ps- I agree that vinegar is amazing cleaning product! We use a lot of that and baking soda for cleaner substitutes.
Thank you for all the recommendations!! I can’t wait to look some of these up and try them for myself 🤍
Looking forward to this series I have been decluttering clothes that I haven’t worn in years Bc I have to make room for my cricut♾
Yesss I love my Cricut! I need to find room for mine too lol! 😂
Happy Thursday Whitney
Happy Thursday Angie 🤍
Hey Whitney! I’m the same way when it comes to sentimental things I feel the need I need them when I don’t even use or wear them anymore I finally decluttered my clothes I don’t wear anymore and giving them to my friend who’s willing to give it to good use and made room in my closet for my new tops I still have somewhat not so much room but I’m learning to make process. Cleaning products. Have a great week! 💜♥️
Clothes were hard for me to declutter! I totally get it! Have a great week Stephanie 🤍
@@whitneypea right? Super hard for me too but glad we got to go through it it’s refreshing. And thank you, you too! 💜😊
yayyyy! so excited about this! i need to do this too 😅 great first video girl 😊
Thanks so much girl!! 🤍
Amazing ! Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Awesome motivation Have a wonderful day.
Thank you!! Have a great day 🤍
Great video Whitney 👍. I will be decluttering my mom's house starting tomorrow. I use vinegar for cleaning my floors and shower too. It really does a good job. Happy New Year ❤
My favorite way to clean right now! Hubby hates it 😂 and that’s awesome!! So nice of you to help her!
Vinegar definitely got antibacterial properties. In Poland we using it a lot. We are using it even for laundry
I love vinegar!
I love decluttering and if my things are still good for example clothes or electronics I sell them sometimes and donate stuff too :) it makes me happy knowing that women in donation centres or ppl who needs the things more than I do could get better use of things than I do. My room and the kitchen are very minimal now and only have the things that I need and use regularly.
Absolutely!! I’m the same way! I love knowing someone else can find joy in the things I no longer love 😊
Everything looks so great! I use vinegar, alcohol, and water to clean. I keep a small bottle of Dawn for really tough stuff, but it actually isn't the best for the environment either. If I need soap for something, I use a little Dr. Bonners for the mop bucket etc.
I love Dr bronners! My fav! I’ll have to try adding alcohol!
WOW. Great video. How on earth do you have energy to declutter, purge and clean with a crawling babe? Your full time job as MOM is exhausting but you still accomplish so much. Blessings!
Oh thank you so much! It’s definitely exhausting but I’m so tired of the clutter! That is motivation for me enough! Thank you for watching 🤍
Love your vídeos!🥰🥰
Thank you so much 🤍
Love your video! ❤ for the cleaners, I absolutely love Better Life or Branch Basics. Most natural and safest cleaners I know since I have two babies myself with my youngest just turning 2 years old and I have used them for at least a year or two now:)
I’ve heard of branch basics! I’ll have to try them out!
You did a great job👏
Thank you! 😊
I don't burn candles either, but when a derecho (tornado) went thru our city and surrounding area, we were without electricity for a week. For emergency situations, you might want to keep some candles and matches.
Yes I totally understand that! I have some pillar candles for emergencies in the garage & flashlights.
Thank you Whitney, I started my decluttering last weekend and will do some more this weekend taking my time. Already dropped 3 bags off at the charity shop (thrift) and hubbie is off to the tip (dump) today will a lot of rubbish
Awesome!! I bet it feels good to get rid of stuff!
love this! I am also trying to minimalize my home!
where did you get the mirrored cabinet in your bathroom?
That came with the house! But I’m sure you could find one at lowes, Home Depot, Walmart or amazon
So adorable 🥰
Thank you!
Would love to see the kitchen! Definitely where I struggle. Love cooking but minimal counter space and a tiny tint pantry makes it difficult
I’ll be doing the kitchen very soon!! I’m ready to tackle it lol! 🤍
Alcohol is what i use as a base with vinegar and essential oils as a cleaning. I dont use store bought soaps or dryer sheets. I only use clean products. I can send u some ideas if u need them hun. Grest vid as always. 💜💜💜
I would love that!! Please do share 🤍 i recently for some dryer balls & cleaner detergent! thank you so much for watching!
@@whitneypea will send them to u on Instagram
I use dryer balls w a little essential oil.
So excited! I’ll be following along with you! I’m also giving away all my candles . I have pets and candles just aren’t practical or safe in my home. Not worth the risk.
Yes this!! Candles are so toxic. & my son and husband both have asthma. Same with some essential oils… not safe for pets! I’m trying to be better about this!
Great job
Thank you!
Ahh!! I launched a messy to minimal series too this year on my channel! So excited to see all of your motivation during this series too!
So awesome!! 🤍
So motivating
Thank you!
A bit of advice...I have those soap dispensers & the rubber bottom is a mess trap. I ended up taking mine off & just using the glass bottles.
Thank you!! I’ll have to take the rubber off of them!
Looks great. I plan to do the same In my bathroom. I just ordered the playpen you had recently showed. Where did you get the pad that goes in the inside?
You’ll love it!! I got the pad off Amazon! Just search for “regalo playpen mat” they have to many options if you don’t want the rainbow! But if you do, here’s the link 🤍 amzn.to/3VIotK2
Try mixing water, white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and dawn dish soap...amounts in descending order...that's what I use...I use it to clean or soak everything before I steam clean, even shampoo my carpets with my Kirby with it...cleans better than anything I have ever used...
Great idea!
@@whitneypea yw...
with regard to keeping things like baby clothes - I read somewhere that if you take pictures and keep an album it may help keep the memories without the "clutter"
That’s a great idea!
Hi! Such great content. Thus teally got me motivated. Are the white storage bins with wood lids from Target? TFS. New subbie🤗
Hey thanks so much for watching! They are from the container store 😊
I love the baskets with the canvas. Where did you purchase them?
Walmart! 🤍
Great work! I know my area is decluttering paper so maybe that? Regarding vinegar, I don’t think it is a disinfectant from what I’ve read, but it is a great way to clean. I use it and baking soda to clean so many things.
Paper yes!!! All the school things etc. i love using baking soda too! Thanks for watching!
@@whitneypea thanks for replying back! ❤️❤️
You did a fantastic job of decluttering, and I admire your courage to get rid of your candles, that was brave 😯. Poor little Maddie, I think teething is such a awful thing for babies to go through. Vinegar is a fantastic all round cleaner, and whilst it might not be antibac, when you clean you kill germs and that's all that matters. Have a wonderful weekend 💞
I love candles but it was time 😢 and yes I always feel so bad for babies getting teeth! Just looks painful lol! Thank you so much for watching Lee 🤍
Love Marie Kondo! 🥰
She’s the best!
Fab video
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this. I have yet to go over stuff in those drawers in our bathroom.
What kind of tripod did you use (seen on the left in intro)? I’m trying to find one. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! This is the amazon basics tripod! Here’s the link: amzn.to/3WNPjlv
@@whitneypea Thank you!
What I would do when ever I was folding my son’s clothes as a baby I would have a bin where I would put clothes still in good condition that didn’t fit. And on the vinegar tip I would also suggest to use it in your laundry I put a bit in the soap bin and definitely in the softener spot and your clothes come out so soft I swear
Yesss I’ve used vinegar as a softener in the past! It works great!
I have the same problem with kids clothes. Finally I decided to keep what they were either baptized or dedicated in. The baptismal gown was mine so there’s no way I’m getting rid of that. I clean my
House with vinegar and lemon. I love the way it cleans. I also use it in my washer.
It’s such a bad habit! I think I’m going to keep 3 clothing items for each kid & donate the rest to a local non profit we have here that helps teen moms! And yesss vinegar is the best fabric softener! Thanks for watching 🤍
Where did you get the basket you have on your bathroom counter the 2 tiered one?
Target dollar spot 🤍
Hi! Where did you buy the bins under your cabinet in the bathroom?
They are from the container store!
Here’s the link for the bin: rstyle.me/cz-n/hff8vvc3n57
The kids are sold separate under the Nordic gray baskets if you scroll down!
Great look ,wee one beautiful, watching from Glasgow Scotland
Thank you so much! 🤍
Amazing job!!
Sorry about the unnecessary rude comments!!
Also - where did you get the small handheld vacuum? The one you’re using at 14:39? I don’t think it’s linked.
Thank you!! ❤
Thanks for watching! Here’s the link to the vacuum! amzn.to/3FPZNZS
@@whitneypea Thank you!!
Where did you get organizers with the wood lid and the bottom is white?
They are from the container store! They are the “Nordic” basket ☺️
I looked through your links and amazon store, but I wasnt able to find the handheld vacuum you used with the slender suction. Could you please share what that was?
Hi this is the vaclife pet vacuum! Here’s the link: amzn.to/3FPZNZS
@@whitneypea thank you so much!
I need to declutter. I like to do ONE thing at a time. So I see one item, I choose where it goes, or throw it away, and continue. Then I may do one drawer, one cabinet, one shelf or one area in general and I will not do too much in one day. Maybe 1 hour, or 2 max. Then I'm tired
Yes that’s the best way to do it!
