An exact similar situation was encountered by my mom too when a few years back she and my little sister had to be admitted in a hospital. An elderly female patient in her early sixties was admitted just in the next ward. Her daughter came almost daily for her mother's meals and medicines and daily check ups. My mom noticed how the daughter was always clad in Burqa (sorry if I spelt it wrong, please correct me if I am), no matter how scorching the heat outside was. So my mother, being the person that she is, asked her after a few casual other talks if it was a restriction in their house. And believe me, the daughter said the exact same thing. She said humbly and with much politeness in her tone, "Aunty, does it have to be necessary to link wearing a burqa with being forced to wear it? It can my own choice too, hain na? Mujhe atcha lagta hain pehenna. Ek sukoon sa mehsoos hota hain." To which my mom apologised and said she didn't mean it that way and then however further added, has she missed wearing it even for one day. Her reply left my mom speechless. She answered, "Umm.. Wow, I love how everything was explained beautifully. People really need to understand that not every woman wearing a hijab is in under some sort of pressure. Loved this piece so much.
I'm a Muslimah and I wear a burqa, a scarf and a niqab leaving only my eyes, hands and feet for strangers to look at. My parents didn't force me to dress this way, infact it was my own choice of dressing. Isn't it freedom if I wear a hijab? Doesn't freedom mean you can dress the way you want to? My mother observes hijab and niqab just like me. Guess what she does? She's a high school English teacher. But when she goes out, she's just another backward Muslim woman. Why do people stereotype Muslims as backward, only judging by the clothes they wear? We CHOOSE the hijab and that according to me, is my FREEDOM. Thank you blush for making another amazing video.
Because most women in middle East are forced to wear burqa , i don't have a problem with hijab . But burqa has historically been worn by only prostitutes. It is meant for modesty and nothing to do with spirituality . So there's no point in wearing mideaveal attire. Im also a Muslim , in my family no woman wears even hijab
I totally understand that freedom isn't same for you and others. Everyone has different meaning/ faces of freedom. But we need to understand that what we believe in, isn't always right. We need to think about these issues, their origin, impacts, and why do we feel like wearing it or doing it and Calling it our freedom, how these things are so deeply internalised by us, how we are so normal with such things and even start liking it. We need to understand why men don't want to or like to wear hijab? Why there's nothing like men want to wear it? That would be a freedom no? People who are committing crimes or believe in things which in your eyes is wrong, is perfectly comfortable/ right in their eyes. So lack of knowledge, brainwashing, internalisation of forced elements, always trying hard to justify our opinions and not ready to think beyond and the rigidness of never placing ourselves in a position where we are wrong.. are a few things that are causing these conflicts in our society.

I had some thoughts in my mind and I'd really like to put your comment to add up to it... I want to add this up as well, is there any way I can do that? It was a nice video, the concept was good..Young generation need to understand that hijab or niqab is not forced on us.. Whatever I wear whether hijab, niqab or saree... It's my freedom of choice...
Every Body agrees untill its choice. Alas, whether its a choice or by force cant be told. One can vouch for herself only. We have to ensure that people have the freedom to choose and are not forced upon. Again, i repeat you can tell about your situation only not about others. Forced attire is reality and these short movies can't change that. You may feel good though.

I have seen so many times in local train's ladies compartment or on a bus that girls get rid of the burka the minute they think they are away from their locality and put it back on when they are returning to their village. As I used to travel daily from my village to a city I used to see it on a daily basis. Those girls must have been forced to wear it and that is so wrong.
Some people wear it due to family & environment compulsion. Some wear it to show off their religious side while doing the opposite! Some are sincere to wear it from unwanted gaze & to protect body exposure. Burkha is good if your intention is good otherwise of no use & instead a stigma at times due to your bad actions wearing it (like hanging around with boyfriends etc).
The girl playing the character of an actor did it so subtly 👏🏻👏🏻made it look so real. BLUSH, need to see her(white top girl) in more videos, she is soooo pretty 😍
I've seen many of the girls in remote villages in west bengal are forced to wear hijab borkha by their families. They are even afraid to admit that it is not their choice because the moulavis has threatened them with social separation, religious exclusion. They admits that they have to wear it because it is there in their religion. As a teacher in village school i've seen girls of class iv or v standard who are not able to manage the water bottles in school bag pocket wearing chadar to cover their body. Many girls often fall ill standing in que in the school ground during school prayer in summer days and we,even the lady teachers are not allowed to unwrap their niquab or hizab to nurse them in sick room. I'm not sure if it is just a choice or a burden imposed upon the girls who even do not know whether they wear it purely by choice or habitually doing it generation after generation as it has been reinforced in their mentality by patriarchal society.
Even if you wear burkha with your choice then it is also lovely .... But why you feel specifically protected in it. Don't mind but if you wear a knee length one piece dress will you Not feel protected in it. Actually the face mask isn't protect you but you feel unprotected in society and it is just self convincing that you feel Protected in it. May be you feel unprotected of body revealing or the gaze of lusty man make you feel unprotected so you cover yourself to Not come in their lusty eyes. This is the problem of society where you feel unprotected, we need to make society safe for women and so roaming in night, wearing cloth of your choice, meeting people you like and go where you want will not feel you unprotected. Be safe be happy.

@@Fahad-gf1wx and what exactly you "also a MUSLIM"call almost naked girl? comparing a religious belief with such words explain your mind which is full of shit.
@@deepalisingh4898 Wow. That was really good... I really like how you understand that it's freedom for them but you also want them to question why it exists for them and not for the men... Or just in general question why it has been associated with other things and not just the concept of modesty, so that they know why it is that they are told to wear it or how it is that they choose to wear it... That is what I understood from your comment.
I'd request you one thing, is there any way to repost a comment on UA-cam... I had some thoughts in my mind and I'd really like to put your comment to add up to it... I want to add this up as well, is there any way I can do that? Also, can I do something like that if you don't have a problem with it?
And, according to what I've understood it's basically a kind of a blind faith one ends up having even if it isn't about following a tradition for someone, without questioning, right? If by any chance, I have misunderstood it, then I'm sorry, please clear it for me, if you can.
