That's a good point but a mere "perspective" nonetheless.. If you take care of your "dog", even if it is old and wail, it's loyalty towards you will remain unaltered, come hell or high water .. The dialogue is made by a girl, an indian girl, so you gotta see that in the right light .. Song Background:
In the rich traditional bhojpuri folk culture of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand etc. this type of geet is known as गारी / गाली (abuses) which is sung during the wedding ceremonies. When after marriage, the family food ceremony (called मरजाद) is arranged in the bride's home for the groom and his family. In this ceremony, this type of Gaari geet is sung by the women of bride's family due to which the groom generally gets upset and doesn't eat the food (a part of tradition) and the bride's father convinces the groom's father to convince the groom to eat by offering him small presents and gifts.
