Thanks Mark, I am really enjoying these videos. It’s great getting more insight into what is possible in LR, and better understanding how playing with the colours changes the whole mood of an image. Your workflow tips have also helped a lot. I have always been a bit unsure of experimenting too much and moving away from a realistic image to the more creative but I suppose that’s what makes it your unique artwork, and now I am starting to be more open to experimenting with the image.

Basic Question: How did you change to portrait orientation when you chose a 4x5 crop? I couldn’t see what you hit or typed.
Hi Rachel, thanks for the question. When you’re in the crop tool, simply hitting the key X will switch between landscape or portrait orientation.

It’s a handy quick way to switch the orientation. I’m planning a new video about Lightroom shortcuts soon that has a lot of these little tricks 😊
Am I the only one or does the original photo (with the same crop applied) looks better than the final result? The light mood was better in the original while the added corner darkening somehow doesn't suit the edited one in my opinion.

Mark I can only get my pics into Adobe RAW and then it automatically goes to Photoshop when I open it after Raw conversion .. I pay for Lightroom every month but have NEVER managed to get any image into it >> Frustrated I would love to follow and implement some of your methods in LR
Hi Peter, have you set up a Lightroom catalog and imported your images into it? You can’t open a RAW file into LR after Adobe Camera Raw. If you open a RAW file and go into Adobe Camera Raw, it will only then open in Photoshop.
Open Lightroom, create a catalog, and import your files. You can then work on your images in there.
