This was really cool, I love this idea and the approach you have taken. I normally go for top 5 inks, and top 5 pens, but will definitely have to think about the pairings as well.more and mroe of my pens have their perfect pairing now, it will be nice to document them.
Thanks so much! I think thinking of the pair makes the possibilities seem more endless- (another tactic to curve the acquiring honestly that also happens to be fun too lol)
congrats on finishing samples! Favorite pen is the Sailor Pro Gear Every Rose and a toss up between Herbin Larmes De Cassis and De Artramentis Alexander Hamilton for the ink. Pilot 912 is runner up for pens - I go back and forth between keeping a black in it or color, I love having the flex in black but then I think this pen is too fun to just have black. Maybe it's a sign I should buy another to have one with color and one with black all the time.
The Every Rose pen is absolutely gorgeous!! ✨ Andddd I totally feel ya on the 912- same struggle here. Right now I have a teal in mine (shocker right? 😂) but I’m with ya, a second one may be necessary for the all black 👀
Great choices on pens and inks. I love the BPC Rotten Seaweed ink. A Wildflower Tailored Pen Co pen is on my wishlist, I love their Wildflower pens. In my pen collection, I am currently loving 3 Oysters Doldum in my Pelikan M805 Stresemann and Papier Plume Moss Green in my Pelikan M600 Green Stripe.
Hello Julia! Lovely selection! I love pelikans, and that Berlin is omg. Little note: in Italian, gn sounds like Spanish ñ, so the Leonardo sounds like pruña! Plum, in Italian 💜
I can’t say if it’s my favourite but I’m really enjoying BPC’s weeping willow in my Kakuno with a medium nib. The ink is such a gorgeous complex colour, The pilot medium nib is broader than I usually go for, but I was having issues with this nib previously and now it’s writing so well that it’s such a nice experience in contrast.
Such great combinations! Right at the moment, my top pairing is Taccia Ume-murasaki in an Esterbrook J Pumpkin Latte with a Pendleton Brown Butter Line Stub.
Beautiful inks and pens! I found some new samples I want to order. I was so glad to see the FWP Thyme because it’s a sage green that is readable!! Those aren’t easy and it’s a favorite color of mine. I love your nail polish, do you know what the color/brand is?
Totally with you with Dancing Thyme! It is a gem of a legible color 👏🏽- and I’m distraught about the nail color. I told myself I was going to remember it because I liked it so much and of course I didn’t write it down so I have no clue.. I’m going on a hunt right now though (it’s one of those I’ll remember if I see the name) and will report back if I find it :)
@@julia-here Thanks so much! lol, I remember by the names, too. It’s easy when they’re clever like OPIs (I still wind up coming home with new nail polish…and I already have that color. My little nieces gain a new nail polish out of it, though!) Yes, Dancing Thyme…I knew there was something else in there. I wrote it down on my list of “get a sample of this it looks really cool.” I was surprised how legible it was after seeing the swatch (and I think you were using a F nib, too.) There are some beautiful colors that look lovely when swatched, and are just unreadable, for me anyway. I’m glad to have found another green I like…I am on the hunt for a “Forest Green” that’s not too black, not too bright, not too teal/blue, and without purple/pink/red sheening (not really a sheening fan most of the time.) But, at least this looks like a fabulous green, can’t wait to get it! There are so many other colors that I have plenty of options I like, but I’m struggling with greens!
That was a great video- I really enjoyed the recap of every month. I can’t pick a fav- have a few 😄
Thank you!! And totally get it; picking a favorite anything is SO tough for me too.
Wow. What beautiful inks. I look forward to learning how you did your mix. Gorgeous pens as well.
Thanks so much! I gotta get back into my ink chef era 👩🏽🍳😝
I feel you & I like some of the same colors. Love the Kaweco. Enjoying your channel Julia. Thanks for nice videos.
Thank YOU for hanging out, Suzanne! :)

@@tinacampbell2610 lovely! I don’t know either of those inks but I must check them out ☺️
These are all so pretty! 🤩 My current favorite pairing is my Pelikan M600 Violet EF with J. Herbin Poussiere de Lune. It is just *chef's kiss*
My word!! I know both the pen and ink and I am drooling- I bet it’s perfection 🤌🏽

Thank you so much! I love (and retain) pronunciation rules like that; super helpful and much appreciated ☺️

Ooo! That sounds like a solid pair! Weeping Willow is such a neat ink (you’re right; the color is hard to even describe)

Oh wow! That sounds like a luxurious pairing 😍

Andddd I found it! It's by DND Gel, called Light Fawn :)

I never blame the ink, but just tell myself that I have it in the wrong pen and nib/sized nib 🙂🙃😋
🫶🏽 Same here in most cases but… I ran across an exception 👀👀 (just a baddd formulation it seems)
