When I watch a video on a Subaru WRX or STI saying they blow head gaskets I know they didn't do much research on the cars and just recycle same lame jokes other UA-camrs make . Only the 2.5 ltr NA motors did that and you could fix it by putting in a 2.5ltr turbo headgasket.

you forgot a fact!! the WRX and STI in America do not have the same engines as Europe and Japan. Most race teams and amateur drivers will swap in the Japanese EJ counterpart. The American STI utilizes EJ 257 which had very little changes from its N/A counterpart. As a result the Japanese engine made a deep impression in the racing community; where as the American engine made an impression in the owner's wallet. With a decent number of people needing to use a warranty claims to replace the stock engine which blew up on stock power.

also wanted to add that i wired one of those intercooler sprayers on my sti intercooler, it makes me feel so much better about my turbo at high rpm. It’s also distilled water, NOT windshield washer fluid, unless you wanna send ethanol through your hot turbo. Don’t think it would cause issues but i’ve always used water so i can put ice cubes in the tank with it for extra cold. Only use it in the summer because of that, though (only time I really need it anyways). In the models the sprayer came in, it was a separate reservoir in the trunk. I have my tank mounted against the firewall with heat shielding to keep the water from getting warm.

I've owned & drive a UK 2009 wrx hatch. Had to custom exhaust it to relese the rumble but love the drive and sounds now. All whiteline running gear plus all polly bushings. 88000 miles on clock, 5w 50w oil & it sounds better than a 2005 sti, and has natural pops & bangs from the exhaust. 🤘🤘Subaru

This is kind of an odd video, as I feel like it was meant to be more funny than serious. But, I am glad that car channels are focusing on other cars besides the super popular ones, like the GRC and CTR. All that does is skyrocket the price of those cars.
We need a more balanced UA-cam video algorithm from you tubers, to balance out the market again…

The toyota corolla gr is at least 20-30k more expensive than a WRX. Price point matters. For that much more, i better smoke the shit out of that wrx.
