  • Kampala City is built on 7 hills, this beautiful city `s central or focal point being Old Kampala hill which has a land mark of the national mosque for the Islamic faith.
    Namirembe hill has the Anglican church called the Saint Paul Cathedral as the landmark for the Anglicans / Protestants.
    Rubaga hill with Saint Mary`s Cathedral built by the French missionaries for the Roman Catholic faith.
    Mengo hill has the landmark of the Kabaka`s Palace for the Baganda tribe.
    Makerere hill with its land mark of Uganda`s great high institution of learning, Makerere University built in 1922.
    Mulago hill having the National Referral Hospital.
    Nakasero hill which is the business district for Kampala, with the Country `s leading banks, embassies and consulates, the state house of the president.
