Tim leaves Puppi on the side of the road, freezing, just so he can get cool action shots for us. So the hero of this channel isn't Tim, it's Puppi doing the camera work. I mean it's a team effort and they do it well. True effort that works extremely well. But Puppi kills it with her camera work, always getting the shot Tim is talking about inside the car. Well done.

Covering your personal largest distance of any cars in a car such as the AMG GT is crazy enough, but doing it with an AMG GT Black Series? You deserve a damn salute, Tim. You are the exact opposite of what most people hate about owners of cars like these.
Thank you for bringing us along for the journey with the AMG GT Black Series and I hope you keep enjoying this beast of a car.

This Video and All the hype surrounding LT McLarens and RS Porsches is another reminder for me about how INSANELY underrated this car is. Cause of its practicality as a cruiser and its performance as a black series. Id argue it’s objectively the best supercar we’ve seen in awhile.

As a Norwegian, i loved this and that you like my country. But, if you really want to drive somewhere what we Norwegians think as spectacular, you have to drive "Trollstigen" with many 90 degrees bends and can be a fun part to drive. And also to drive in the beautiful scenery of Northern Norway places like "Lofoten", and maybe all the way up to the top of Norway to "Nordkapp". Hopefully you will consider it some day, your mind will be blown away of the scenery!

Many large and exiting plans have been tought of. If you want to see for yourself try search " Statens Vegvesen ferjefritt e39 English "

Black Rock Sands in Wales is another one. As well as Chirihama Nagisa Driveway in Japan.
And as for the saltwater, there is always the option to wash it off. It won't rust your car immediately from driving once.
Near the entrance of Chirihama, there are special underbody washing stations, where you can wash the sand and saltwater off your car right after exiting. I believe it's free even.

Tim…I did the same sort of journey to the Artic Circle in my (then) new 1986 BMW 325i Sport but I went via the east coast of Sweden and up to Lappland then back down through Finland…as you have discovered, that is a LOONNNNNNGGGG way at 40/50mph with overhead Police helicopters watching you so that you rarely ever see them! You also get to see many trees….many..MANY trees…can there ever be a wood shortage?? I did make a film but on VHS format and I have not seen it for decades! Re the roads…I went in May and that is not a good plan as there were long sections where they remove the entire road surface to allow the Permafrost to melt before replacing the complete road from the base upwards. That means…long sections of loose rubble that terrifies paintwork and tyres. I did escape but the car was a picture when I got back home! I think we need to go again…those roads are my sort of place..Not the rubble..but the huge landscapes, sea, bridges and remote tiny villages. As for eating…it was lucky dip and I could not read Swedish so bought myself a nice packet of dog biscuits for lunch…hmm..only once though. Next day a box of “ Nora’s Knackers” which were a shade better but I doubt Bonzo would have spotted the difference! Keep going Tim…build ever more memories.😃😃😃😃😃

  • @Rick2010100

    What does false fuel mean:
After the ignition spark jumps, combustion of the compressed fuel-air mixture is initiated. The flame front spreads evenly at a speed of around 20 m/s. This can result in temperatures of up to 2,500°C and pressures of up to 60 bar. At the end of the work cycle, the pressure has relaxed to 3 bar to 5 bar at around 900°C.
In a hot combustion chamber, the air-fuel mixture can spontaneously ignite explosively. The gases then burn uncontrollably at high speed. One reason for this may be low octane fuel.
When temperature and pressure suddenly increase, the pressure waves spread through the combustion chamber at the speed of sound and hammer on the cylinder walls. Such “knocking” combustion places a very high mechanical and thermal load on the engine. The pressure peaks that occur can damage the pistons, bearings, cylinder head, valves and spark plugs.
The octane number says something about the ability of gasoline fuels to prevent uncontrolled combustion in the unburned residual gas before the controlled flame front arrives.

Great story Tim. Good video. You do need a 4 door type M5, like I have. Road trips are more fun in that.

I won't take my lowly 2016 Jaguar 3.0 S F-Type out on salted roads. Props to Shmee.

Love the roads you are on, summer might be better though, still it’s mega. Scandinavia is stunning, tolls are a bummer though

You can start the journey from Kristiansund and travel down the E39 coastal road. From there you can see some amazing scenery.
