Is the angular velocity of the sun constant relative to an observer fixed on the ground? Because if so, it is obviously impossible for this to occur for an observer in a fixed position on a spherical earth. And thinking further, it is difficult to imagine any working model for this, unless the sun and moon have a specific presence for each observer. Wonderful complexity of this world.
It still baffles me how the sun is a pure white light when it is overhead but it is so full of a neon orange color when it is close to the horizon. And how the size of the sun is 4x larger when it rises and sets than when it is high in the sky. What a crazy phenomena
@@hallowedsoul2056 Yeah the size and color thing applies to the moon as well. The moon is crazy yellow and huge when it peaks over the horizon and completely white and tiny when it is overhead. I believe the sun & moon are both local which makes why they change size so drastically even harder to understand. It would make sense if they were small when they peak over the horizon because they are far away and as they move closer & overhead is when they become larger, but it is reversed.
@Damidas yes, if you are thinking about them as physical objects it doesn't make sense. I've been watching balloon flights with no fisheye lens lately and they all should the sun more or less eye level and seeming reeeealy close. Pretty wild, kinda hard to wrap my head around. The work this channel is doing is a real blessing. I don't exactly understand how this research is conducted, but it does resonate with me and is much more in line with my experience and perception than other teachings.
