And to think 11 years on this clown is STILL the commissioner! And he gives the 31st franchise to Las Vegas rather than Quebec City? Where's the next expansion team going to be? Seattle? Kentucky? Maybe he'll want the NHL to go to London, England like the NFL do. Because...money.
I get the feeling that young people are going to stop caring about hockey in the next 10 years. The historicity & heritage which drove their parents to the game had died, & young people get involved to one up other young people, who they themselves got involved because of their fathers.
You lost your fucking team because you didn't show up. Winnipeg got their team back and they don't show up. Ottawa fans don't show up. Canadian's love whining about the game being grown. The NHL is nothing without American teams.
@@mr.brenman2132 didn’t u hear when he mentioned that 20 clubs lost $$ n that there were too many bankruptcies wen the old cba expired? Those teams were why
@@slapshot68 Lol half the Canadian teams. You lost your teams for a reason. It's questionable if Winnipeg should have even come back. The Lighting went to three straight Stanley Cup finals. Florida and Carolina are currently in the conference finals. The league needs to grow.
@@slapshot68 The thrashers had one playoff team in 12 years and they got swept in the first round. But you don't understand why Hockey didn't work in a non traditional hockey market. You're never getting the Nordiques back. The commissioner after Bettman isn't bringing the Nordiques back. Accept it.
Bettman wasn't to blame in 2005. It was inevitable that the league would lock out the year.
Please do this tonight Gary!!
This was actually on 7/22/05
The end of playoff upsets, now everybody has an equal chance to win the cup
This lockout doomed the Atlanta Thrashers
How?
Slushyjake 5378 lots of $ lost, no fans cared even before the lockout
@@slapshot68 That's because they made the playoffs once in 12 years.
@@mr.brenman2132 n even wen they did, their building was either not sold out or was filled with Ranger fans (they played the Rangers)
Why does he remind me of Mr. Burns? lol
Fire buttman,John Collins for commissioner.
YES!!!

This is what happens when u move teams from a popular city to a unknown city, blame the coyotes, thrashers, the 2 Florida teams, and the canes.
No. The NHL needs to continue to grow the game.
