Thank you for sharing your work :D But I am curious to understand, why didn't you use the pen tool to draw the shape directly and then apply mesh? Why draw a rectangle, apply mesh and then edit the shape? :D You could have saved more time, don't you think?
Maybe it could have been a bit faster. Over the years I discovered that using rectangles, applying the mesh and then manipulating it gets a better result and you won't end up with mesh lines all over the place. Sometimes the pent tool works well, other times the rectangles do a better jobs :)

Hi, it's called the Outline Mode and can can see it by pressing CMD(CTRL)+Y, and o turn it off, you press CMD(CTRL)+Y again.
