I do roofing work in Florida. It's simple for me. I don't chase insurance. Just cash deals retail in high end areas. My deal is simple and straightforward. Once you sign with me the roof will be done right away. I don't negotiate on price and use premium materials. Has worked for me.

I just got to Florida. I did insurance work in Cali. I’ve been in roofing for 4 months. I got 54 insurance customers in 60 days I got 28 roofs bought right away. I’m still fighting 10 roofs cause I lost 6 customers because insurance adjuster scared them. I’ve got 10 more roofs bought out of those in the last month. I took a month to learn xactimate and be able to write estimates. I came to Florida but I’ve never done retail. I’m 4 days in I for six possible customers but I’m not a pushy salesman. Idk if I should change what I’m doing? Best day I had in Cali was 5 customers in one day. But that’s insurance.

It is the system that legislation made for insurance industry. This is a business deal for lobbying that has been done for insurance companies paying for politicians who create the new policies. Follow the money you will always find the root cause of the problem.

Sales-based contractor focuses on bottom line: admirable, necessary, gotta keep growing!
Insurance industry focuses on bottom line: evil, greedy, insurance crisis!

I call BS on these two and they're pro immigrant labor, I have seen in Ft. Myers were many roofing companies pick up these immigrants it is either next to Home Depot stores, Lowes stores, parking lots where immigrants gather so every day these roofing companies can end up with a different group of immigrants.
Do your self a favor and only do business with a roofing company who employs their own crews, Stanleys Roofing in Florida did our roof, they employ their own crews, they have tear off and rough in crews to remove the old roof and to lay the underlayment. That takes a day, then they have install crews in our case we went with a metal roof and they have crews that do only metal roofs, they know what they are doing and it takes them 1 and 1/2 days to install your metal roof.
By employing their own crews Stanleys Roofing can control the quality of the installation. These other companies picking up who ever is at the parking lot that day do substandard work.

I think I blame insurance companies 95% of the time and 5% everyone else, they want to collect premiums and withhold depreciation or under pay

I just lost a roof deal in Fayetteville, NC to a company listed on Dirctorii that ate the homeowner's deductible. We started the claim and then they seen our sign in the yard and took the deal.

We worked Fort Meyers/Cape Coral October to July and it was always who was offering lowest price, many people down there don't care about signed contracts, and many had no clue how expensive their roofs truly are. Also the insurances have screwed so many people all over. And insurance adjusters were doing some lazy inspections, easily got 4 homes approved month 1 that insurance tried to say was minimal damage.

    • @jakelacey49
      @jakelacey49 Рік тому

It's not lazy its brand new scared to write for damages and not knowing how to write for damages. Those adjuster left a lot of money on the table by not buying due to there fear of pulling the trigger and not knowing what to do. Most of them probably had zero experience and were running hurricane claims which they had no business doing. I bought every roof I stepped on down there even a 6 month old tile roof. I was actually instructed by QA of the carrier to buy everything the homeowner brought up while doing the inspection to avoid a lawsuit. It was a lucrative time to run claims especially with the pricing and regulations down in Florida. Of course there are other carriers that don't like to pay they are usually on the TV advertising with commercials.

If they can afford to upgrade to Euroshield, it’ll start chipping away at the problem. A product made to last. Not only hail proof, but hurricane proven, all of the Euroshield roofs in SWFL went through hurricane Ian perfectly. Best out of the box warranty in roofing as well.

I get so frustrated with CONtractors in the home improvements business. We have taken 25 years to build a $2,500,000 a year company organically. We don’t advertise and the phones don’t stop ringing. Integrity is everything in any business and the car salesman style sales crew companies that concern themselves with sales instead of phenomenal home improvements never seem to make it long term. Fraud and covering deductible’s is desperate behavior and will never work.

I was in Roofing here in the mid west and did everything by the book when guiding my customers thru the claim process. I moved to Florida and got hired on immediately with one of these fraudulent roofing companies who would inspect properties and kick everything over to a legal department right away to get the claim bought. Needless to say I stuck it out for a few months after being disgusted with the industry down there and moved back to the mid west where I find peace of mind with actually taking pride in my work and treating my customers with the way they should be treated. Long story short Florida is full of fraud with every thing involved with anything having to do with insurance. There is absolute truth why every bill board down there is a law firm or an attorney trying to advertise their firm.

So are all of you working in South Florida? I suspect i will need a new roof within a year's time most likely because of the trend of homeowner's insurance companies demanding new roofs after 15 yrs or so here in Florida. I live in Hillsborough County / Plant City area. I like to get my ducks in a row b4 the other shoe drops. Anybgood references for this area guys? Thanks in advance!

Jason w/ Eustis Roofing is a great guy and great for our industry.
But Homeowners are to blame just as much or even more to blame than roofers or attorneys.
Collaboration and understanding are crucial to address industry challenges effectively. The statement about focusing on profit over revenue emphasizes the importance of sustainable business practices.
Good luck guys and keep up the great videos
