Severine making friends just makes me so happy! She is seriously such a cute baby! Those big blue eyes! And her laugh is so cute! One thing my husband and I hated about my daughter being like this was we were very shy and total random strangers would want to talk to us about our baby who was very infectious with laughter and personality... We hated not being able to go to a store or Doctor apt without many conversations and interactions with strangers... Not bc we are mean, just that we are very shy....

I went to Whitby in 2008, 2009, 2014 and 2015. In 2008, I was told it was not as good as it used to be but I loved it. Several nights of clubs, a market, been in a lovely old town. To me, it's changed it's no longer what it was but I am sure you loved it as I did all those years before. Some say your first Whitby is the best. For me it was true. The first two we went to were great and was probably us experiencing the tail end of what the original festival was like. We had a 5 year break (unintentional) and when we returned it just didn't feel that it was exclusively for the Goths anymore. I been accused of 'Gate Keeping' but it's due to the lack of gate keeping and been exclusive to why it's not a Goth event anymore but Joe Public turn up like some annoying, unwanted village drunkard trying to join in at the village fair. I do miss that town but will probably never go when WGW is on.
Depends. The town itself, sadly, gets rammed with photographers, people who go just to dress up and gawpers but Tomorrow's Ghosts festival is technically separate from a lot of the rest. The people who come out for the bands were nowhere to be seen during the day (at least I didn't see any familiar faces!)
With it being the whole town there's such a community feel even though people come from all over the country/world to be there. It's like for that weekend, Whitby is everyone's home ❤
I'm from Québec where our national meal is poutine which is basically fries (chips), gravy and cheese (but curds instead of shredded) and yup, we do sometimes justify eating it multiple times a week by calling it ''basically a salad'' since it's ''veggie'' based. Glad to see this philosophical debate is making its way across the ocean ;) And Severine is so adorable, my god!

Hi, I do goth weekend and I'm 16 and I love the atmosphere and I always gone to Whitby on holiday but I didn't understand what goth weekend was until I was about 13 and I was in awe with everyone as people were so nice so I said to myself "I found my people and my place" and ever since then I fell in love with being goth and I have done Whitby goth weekend twice and I loved it.

It has proved to be one of my most popular videos. Everybody looked to be having fun and I think the locals enjoyed it too .. the fish 'n chips shops certaibnly did, judging by the queues. I'm going again at the end of this month

I was at this festival last year. Didn't plan on being there for it, but I kind of blended in with my black parka and hood. It was my first trip abroad since recovering from dealing with cancer. So I'm sure my physical appearance probably added to the effect. I was asked what I was supposed to be, my answer: "Just a displaced Yank trying to appreciate what time he has left." Honestly, this was probably my first time actually talking to and interacting with people in two years.

I've been to Whitby Pirate weekend.. it's such an amazing little town. I love it. Gutsy Gingers is my favourite shop there.
