I have been to the doctor 3 times ... not coincidentally, I have 3 children ... I do not trust the medical establishment. My father didn't either, and lived to be 85 and took no medications. Love me some Tom ... and Rush, too. We need to talk more ... but they certainly don't want it. Steps, baby. Stop, back it up, talk about it ... that's why we're here!!
This guy Tom .. has been spitting truths ever since his breakthrough song "Dear Rappers" .. He took it upon his shoulders to expose the genre. Dear Rappers changed Hip Hop forever.. it forced rap to develop a conscience .. It told us the difference between good and evil .. Have you done Dear Rappers..??
As someone who grew up in a Christian home with a father that was "as long as you live under my roof you're gonna go to church when & where I say", I understand being forced to go to church. My wife & I don't force our daughters to go to church, we just pray that The Lord leads them & they hear his voice. I am glad that I was raised in a Christian home because as Proverbs 22:6 says: "train up a child in the way he should go, & when he is old, he will not depart from it". Those words are more relevant now than ever before.
I was raised the same way, and I raised my children the way you are. My children are grown now and I wish I had pushed religion just a little more than I did, but nothing I can do about it now.
Personally, as a kid I don't remember being forced to go, but I did enjoy Sunday School, it was key in helping shape my core values in the knowledge and love of Jesus. As I got older I went less, but still liked going to random revivals or bible study groups in my early teens up until I didn't go at all. But Im glad I was taught about Jesus in my formative years, because it really saved my life later. As life happens and I made my moves without God, it fell apart and I became homeless. Was for a couple years. What got me out of it was constant prayer. Not to ask for anything, but to thank him for everything. I was wholly dependent on His Providence, and learned then what a wonderful provider He is. Without that early church upbringing I might not have known to go to Him, or worse I might have cursed him for my own misfortune. Im not saying force your kids to go 4x a week, but they should go at least once a week if they're under 10. After that, let them decide. But give them that foundation. They can choose if they want to build on it later.
Great reaction and thoughts. Most Reactors rewind the whole 9 steps verse, very impactfull, Tom puts ii simple terms, what Sociologists, Politicians and Economists can't or don't want you to know.
Great reaction Brother! Keep on doing you! Keep the faith, and pray for your children to have their hearts find the Truth so they can seek it for the right reasons.
Love your reactions & insight! I can understand your views on church.. it was forced on me as a child & for a long time I wanted nothing to do with it. One of my sons goes every Sunday, the other doesn’t. I struggle because I know it’s damaging to force it but I also worry about him. But you’re right, they will come to it in their own way and time. Thank you 😊 PS- rewind it back whenever you want to!!
Love your reactions. Idk if you’ve ever listened to Bizzle, but if not check out “Christ Gang” and “devils work, response to Joyner Lucas” and so many others. I’m sure you may already know him but I dig his stuff Keep up the good work and God bless
Never be afraid to rewind if you want to relisten to it. I did that with my kids .. its the wrong move. I was never forced to go to church. I wish I had forced them. I think when they are young is the best time.
Jesus Christ is KING !! Trump 2024 🙏 spot on about organized religion. I'm raising my children like you. And my kids haven't been to church only for their baptism. My 13 yr old son asked for his own Bible for Christmas and that made my year
