I always hate seeing a package damaged in the post. But sadly, it happens all too often. Both need to remember to take the packages up very well. As the machines that they go through can really tear them up. And even if they do not go through a machine, they are still handled with little care.
Had no issues with the chips in the UK, so assuming the sorting machines over there are a bit more violent. But also does look like a natural cut. When I send the next one will make sure its better wrapped. The paper was basically how our chiips (fries) used to be wrapped up over here.
@@SerpentSilver Yeah saw your comment elsewhere about the reference : ) A few have given the game away. Will do as sounds pretty intense from reading comments, but as said that did look like a clean cut so who knows.
Machines handling regular letter squeezed the chip out the letter. Letters are intended to be thin with only paper. Poker chip made it too thick, and should be sent on regular package. That is what probably happened.
The machines handling standard cards/envelopes are so fast and strong they will rip apart when a object not fully secured will destroy the envelope and fall out. Also the European laws on sending things abroad from Europe to the USA have changed since January 1, 2020, it is no longer permitted to send goods internationally by letter, should be a parcel package/strong envelope and all objects send have to be declared either online or on a form. So NO objects can be put in a standard letter/envelope. Sorry for the loss of your gift, but this is how it is. Most likely not stolen out of your envelope.
My last order of silver coins looked like it swam to my house. Package had been dropped in a puddle and was completely soaked through. Thank god the rounds were individually sealed in their plastic. USPS delivery
Yes… USPS does suck. Not only what you are speaking of, but the fact that they hold packages for no reason. I’ve got three packages sitting there right now that, according to them, are going to take 2 days to go 30 miles. They’re the worst.
@@SerpentSilver yeah it definitely sucks. I end up taping the letters and stuff up pretty good if I have something in there which helps but the USPS just doesn't put much care into the handling. Take care buddy.
Reinforcement and tape can go a long way in sending chips. Nice member swag from Hoosier. Have a great week! 👍🏼
I sometimes feel I go a bit overboard 😅
@@SerpentSilver I find it usually better to err on the side of caution. 😉

I just saw that spaceminer got his intact. I'm kinda jealous 😂
@@SerpentSilver 😆

You should look up a video. The sorting is quite intense. I only just got the chips reference 😂

This is another very good indicator that the infrastructure and services we have relied on for over two centuries are crumbling and failing.
Before joining this community I never really dealt with mail

I hope so
Those sorting machines are rough!
I hope it was a machine and not a person

Thanks for all your input. It still sucks😡 I just hope it happens less and less

That's awful. Glad they were alright
That's a real bummer with the mail.
😭
Louis DeJoy does a horror job, can't understand why Trump put him in charge of the USPS!
I haven't looked into it much. I might want to now
Bummer on the missing chip :(
All the ones I've sent over have been in package form. It sucks with shipping fees though
That's intentional...same thing happened to me with a poker chip from metal Scholar
That really sucks
Sweet mail calls regardless. :-)
Yeah I'm still happy something made it
That’s sucks someone opened your mail ⚓️🧲👍
It just happens sometimes...but it realy shouldn't.
Yeah, at least some of it arrived

Yeah, we should have to worry about shipping or receiving anything in the mail
We had the same happen to us.We've been robbed twice in the same Week BS. Hang in there Brother 😮? ????
It really sucks
Damn that sucks man.
I've seen it happen to others. Bound to happen to me sooner or later

That's to bad about the chip
It was bound to happen at some point I guess😭
