  • This is the first in a new series I'm trying out where I talk about things that inspire me. This is about a painting I saw at the Cleveland Museum of art at an impressionist exhibit last year.

    Such an important concept for aspiring artists to realize. I try hard to teach this concept to my students. Being inspired is an import part of the creative process. I hope you do more videos like this in the future. Great work!

    Very cool video! Seminal influences are not always easy to figure out and often we ourselves are unaware of what influences our own thinking. It's like a person arriving at a place but being unsure how he got there. But it all comes out in the art.

    Great new video Brad. Very inspirational. Especially the part that artists don't live in a vacuum and are inspired by artist that came before them.There is just a lot you can learn from going to museums and soak everything up. I like the style of this series that concentrates on the art. Weren't you allowed to film inside the museum?

    • @thebradcolbow
      @thebradcolbow  7 років тому

      Thanks! I am allowed to film in the museum, but at the time (a little over a year ago) it never occurred to me that I would be making a video about this.

    Good work, Brad. You are right, nothing happens in isolation and what Monet went through 100+ years ago, pulling from personal influences and synthesizing into something new and uniquely his, the web makes a gazillion times easily for all of us today. It is truly an exciting, creative time -- and individuals such as you help open it up for all the rest of us. Thank you so much. Way cool.

    Very insightful. More videos like this would definitely be appreciated !!!
    with the the tab s3 review, I was wondering if you could check to see whether the usb-c port would allow you to send video from your laptop into the tab s3 so you could use it like a cintiq with your laptop. Maybe the Wacom link from the Wacom mobile studio pro will allow this to work? That would be pretty cool. Looking forward to your review.
