Thank you Alyssa .Your exercises helped a lot .used to be nervous about steps , getting squats etc. Yours and another Physios videos became my ‘go to’. Cannt thank you enough for your kindness .Seetha from India
Nice video! For those of you out there that think the modifications are too easy and you are too ashamed to do them (even if you can't do the original form exercise) don't feel bad. Take those "baby steps" and work your way up, while feeling good about yourself. I did work for my knee strength a year ago with a physical therapist. We started with baby steps and worked our way up...doing exercises to strengthen the core as well. In six weeks, I couldn't believe the results. Best thing I could have done! Thanks for the video, Dr. Kuhn!
Thank you so much for all your hard work to teach and care for those of us needing this help your amazing!! I share these videos with 5 people. That need you too !!! God bless you...
As an 83-year-old living on the 3rd floor of a 3 story walk-up (no elevator) I've been finding it difficult to climb my stairs so I've decided to use it as an exercise. Three times per day I descend my stairs, turn around and climb back up and then do it again. By the end of that I'm pretty well beat. Just to make it a bit more trying, I don't use the banister/railing on the climb although I do use it on the descent (so as not to fall).
Could you please do a video about going safely downstairs with strength. And another thing is: how to go on slippery surfaces or I would better say how to exercise your body to handle slippery surfaces. Getting to my 60ies i recognize not been able anymore to go safely move on icy ways. I fall very easily if it is slippery, even it is not icy but if it is wet from rain and the surface is a bit smoother. Thanks for all your great work and infos!
Thank you. This is encouraging. I really appreciate the modification, since we do not have steps in our home. I love your videos . I have been doing the workouts with you regularly, and have noticed increased strength. You have really made a difference in my life. 💗
EXCELLENT instructions, Alyssa! So clear, simple to follow…and NO ANNOYING BACKGROUND MUSIC! Well done! I am a fairly active 69 yo woman. I’ve tackled arthritis pain & lost 30 lbs with Keto, maintained for 3+ years now. That journey started with a hip replacement 3 1/2 years ago. I’m so much improved since then! However, recently I’ve felt a bit of “tightness” (hard to describe) in the leg with the new hip. Also a bit more difficulty when I take long walks (over 6,000 steps.) Hoping these exercises will help. New subscriber. Thank you! 👏👏👏😃💖
Yesssss... Alyssa, another lovely teknik...and for sure I Will add to my ecercise journal ... and my arthritis adventure journey.... Thank you so much ... 😊🎉
@@arthritisadventure I've got titanium everywhere shoulder neck knees, and right now I'm battling to get and have some appetite your videos are great thank you
Gr8. Thx. I have Osteoarthritis in my hips and knees. Can you share a link or website for that step with the risers that click in place. So much safer than the risers I have that sit under my step but do not click into the step. Thx so much.
Why do my hips and knees hurt so much while walking in the mall. Shopped at the mall day b4 yesterday and my hips; upper thighs and knees are killing me. Today- 2 days later- can barely step up and it hurts to walk around the house
Hi. I have trouble up and down the stairs. When I am near the top I stop and can't go any further, so j have to kneel down before I get to the top. Coming down I have to kneel down before putting my foot on first step. Do you have any advice. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your helpful videos that help me feel close to normal again. Now, that the lower part is almost taken care of, the problem now shifted to my shoulder and hands. Is that normal? Or am I in such a body wreck? Or has that something to do with the sleeping positions where some body parts are being compromised -- that should be made aware of?

@@arthritisadventure Hello, Thank you so much for responding! 💛 I will try that exercise, I'm in NW Ohio, and we are in the heat wave as most states. Sadly, I've been inflamed for a little over a week. I try not to take Arthritis Tylenol, my hip pain has always moved from the left hip for a day or so, then it moves over to the left hip. The discomfort is unbelievable. I waddle when I walk. I am a subscriber now, I will click on the link you provided. Is it safe to exercise when you're hurting? Thanks again 🙂
Alyssa I really enjoy your videos they are very informative thanks for taking time and creating them. By the way you are so gorgeous can your legs are the most beautiful legs I have ever seen and I am 64 years old so what does that say....

When I step up with left leg I feel as if my knee bones are rubbing against each other
I have bone on bone arthritis, it feels like that too.
Does this sensation reduce when using upper body support and stepping up to a smaller step stool like in this video?
Thank you for your excellent videos 😀😀
Thanks Alyssa
