Off top, K. Shines MJ round vs. JC, one of B. Magics vs. Conceited, Gun Title's 2nd (or 1st i forget) against NWX, and Surfs 1st or 2nd vs. Reed Dollaz gotta be on here. Also, Arsonal had a crazy round vs. twork. I respect the list, though it must've been tough to choose. It's almost impossible to make a defenitive list but this is a dece.t effort.
This was a dope ass list!!! I personally would've had Bigg K vs Audi Boom at #3. I would've had Rum Nitty vs A. Ward at #2 and Hollows 1st vs Clips would definitely be #1. He literally changed the way people looked at Clip's bars after that.
Rum Nitty has so many rounds to be considered lol. I think him vs Ward was sensational. I leaned towards his Shine round because it's a major feat to have arguably the best round on a top 5 battle rap card ever.
@motykdot I think the innovation of the round is great and should be accredited. However, I do think there are rounds that feature better rapping and more moments. Lux's 1st vs Miles is similar in that its innovative and a formative piece of the artform. What separates this round and Mook's round is Lux's material ages in a more graceful fashion and had more of a lasting effect on how many individuals structure their raps. Just my point of view though 🤝🏾
@@MLang4132 either surf third against Hitman or Lux against hollow round. Verb round is only dynamic because of the concept everything else is basic. He executed it so well that’s what makes it so legendary! My only argument is that it doesn’t incapsulate the level of lyrical ability that was prevalent at the time
I'm honestly not mad at that assessment. I think that Verb's execution and substance made up for the lack of lyricism (comparatively speaking). The other rounds you mentioned may be more well-balanced, but I do think the circumstances of Verb's battle hold a lot of weight and amplify the round much more.
