Hey Guys I understand the carseat was not properly installed. I had a feeling and mentioned it in the video about getting it checked. Which I took care of and fixed what I did wrong. I am a first time mom and her first carseat was installed by the firestation so I don’t know the ins and outs but I appreciate anyone who commented helpful information for me and other people who stumble across this video looking for answers. Which is why I’m gonna leave this video up regardless and feel free to skip the install process . I did display the carseat features which I’m sure will help someone.
I too am having the hardest time installing this product in my car. There are no videos posted from the manufacturer which I feel all companies should have for safety reasons. I’ve read the instructions multiple times but still no luck in securing the seat 💺 to the car. I too have to go to my nearest fire station for an install. Shame on these manufacturers but thanks for uploading your video and helping as much as you could
I appreciate this comment! Seriously what a pain! I’ve been using the seatbelt method but I did it wrong in the video. I put it over the cup holders instead of underneath through the holes. But I totally agree with you. It’s a pain to properly install these expecially when you havent really done it alot. I hope your fire station helps you💚and thanks for watching.
Hi mama, your little one is adorable🥰 I’m a CPST and just wanted to offer some help in case you haven’t met with one in person yet (or for anyone else watching). The way you currently have your seat installed is incorrect and very unsafe, so I wanted you to be able to fix it ASAP. I know the manual for this one isn’t the best😒 You can only use the lower anchors OR seatbelt - never both. When using the lower anchors they need to be moved to the RF belt path (holes under the cup holders). Yours are in the FF belt path. They also must be attached with the curve going down so that it can hook onto the anchor bar from above. Doing it upside down like in the video can cause them to fail in a crash. When installing with the seatbelt, both the lap and shoulder belt need to go through the RF belt path. Here, you only put the lap belt over the cup holders and that won’t keep it secure in a crash. It’s easiest to feed it through the belt path, buckle it, and then lock it. Also, make sure you have either the bubble or white line on the side level depending on your little one’s weight. Many fire stations don’t have CPSTs on staff (this is a very common misconception), so before you let anyone help you please be sure they’re actually a certified CPST. Oftentimes they’ll try to help even when they’re not, and they end up giving dangerous advice and putting little ones’ lives at risk. CPSTs frequently have to help fix incorrect installs or info given by fire fighters, LEOs, medical professionals, etc. who mean well, but should really only be referring parents to CPSTs. So when using the anchors, is that all you do to attach the car seat? Solely the one anchor under the seat? Just making sure there isn’t another part I need to attach since it seemed a little wobbly still! Thank you!
@@CrazyChick7183 Sorry, just now seeing this! Yes, when using the lower anchors RF that’s all you use. You can try a seatbelt install instead to see if that’s better, but this seat tends to be difficult to get tight either way. Just to clarify, you’re using both lower anchors and not the top tether, right?
@@ekayahwilliams6116 There are only 3 seats on the market in the U.S. that allow both (Nuna Pipa, Pipa Urbn, and Clek Foonf FF) and that’s because they have rigid LATCH, which is entirely different from the flexible lower anchors on most seats. Using both can create too much friction and/or force at the belt path and actually cause the seat to break and fail in a crash, so it’s definitely not safer. Unless you have one of the 3 seats I listed, your seat was designed to be used with only one or the other and your manual will tell you to never use both. It’s usually near the front of the manual in the warning section.
I switched carseats however When I travel I use it and I just use the seat belt method. I peel the cover back in the front and slide the seat belt in the seat belt slots under the cup holder and then tighten it. If you want to just use the hooks then dont use the seat belt just attatch the hooks at the bottom. And yes this one was a hard one. I stressed myself out trying to install it
I just need to know how to clean this thing! 😆 I’m having a hard time figuring out how to take everything off and clean it. I knew I should’ve gotten a simpler car seat
hey girl, i just bought this car seat yesterday!! i noticed that you put your seat belt across the cup holder bars.. if you go under the cup holders there’s a slot you can slide that belt into and it won’t block the cup inserts! just wanted to share a friendly tip lol no hate!!
This seat is very difficult to get a safe newborn fit with and overall isn’t a recommended seat for several reasons. If you’re looking for an inexpensive convertible instead of an infant seat the Cosco Scenera Next is a much better option as long as baby is over 19”. - CPST
It took me two hours to be able to install it was a horrible experience and I've installed many car seats. I am not a first time Mom. I couldn't get it leveled.
No!!! I can't! Please go to a permanent fitting station and get help with installing your car seat correctly. Please don't show this to any parents as they will install their seat incorrectly as well. Very Scary!
Thankyou for the info. I have already got her seat checked and installed properly. I didn’t have my manual when I did this and never said I was an expert. I am keeping this video up because there still is good information regarding the features of the carseat and Im sure other moms can benefit from reading my comment section to not make the same mistake.

The features and how easily you adjusted the seat helped me choose this seat for my daughter’s first flight 😊

They have 6 videos of the features, but 0 of how to install 🤦🏼♂️
Thank you so much for this video! We were struggling so much. Thank you

I was told use both, idk if they were certified or anything. How come you only use one way? Wouldn't using both be safer so it's less likely to move?

Great explanation and good mom!
I was thinking of purchasing do this car seat have handles on it ?
Im so confused trying to install this rear facing

Oh my, THANK YOUUU! Its pur 2nd carseat and till now I'd not find any video explaining how to harness secure my babies . Thanks ❤
I’ve been watching videos .. does the seat detach from the base ? I’m wondering for those times baby is sleeping
Unfortunately no. The base is always at the bottom.
This seat is very poorly designed and does not install correctly at all.
You have to push down the car seat then pull the latch to tighten the anchors I have the same car seat
Y’all so cute ❤❤

Would you recommend for new born?
I would say Yes. the piece I took off is for newborn. But This definitely is a nice carseat for your baby to grow into as well.

I’ve watched manufactures video and this video is better than what they had to show
