    I know you guys mentioned you should have stayed calm and watched the deer after the shot but it wouldn't have been the same video if you had. That was true emotion. I thought Ted's face would crack he was smiling so big. The guys making the videos only shooting monster bucks on manicured farms, telling us to pass these 150 inch deer because they are only 4 1/2 and have so much more "potential". Need to be put on Notice. These are the kind of videos the public wants to see. Hunters hunting like the majority of us have too.

      damn sure the truth. this is hunting. im sure they scouted, regardless, to hit on first setup in a management area shows maturity and expertise. at their age i was a true dummy. to have that now at my elevated age would be paradise. God Bless.

      I agree. Deer hunting is hard enough and people put so much effort into it - they shouldn’t feel ashamed with what the end up shooting. As long as you’re enjoying yourself and respecting the resource. And bad shots happen, part of the game.

      What makes this channel so appealing is the different personalities!! Ted is the kid….buck fever is a real deal for him! He rarely sees his arrow flight, excitement is full throttle!…..Gotta love it….keep that always my guy! You don’t have to show us as fans anything different. As in this bud, shot wasn’t where ya wanted it, but you can’t take it back, the emotion whether it ends up being a downer or not is real!

    I've watched hunting videos since I was a kid. Every once in awhile you find a group of guys that really capture a hunt as it relates to the everyday hunter. You guys do that for me! I started hunting public land in Ohio a few years ago, and your hunts remind me so much of the experiences I been through....right down to showing what has to happen after a kill to properly take care and process a harvest. Plus I've learned a great deal while watching. Congrats to you guys! Be careful out there and good luck along the way!

      Thanks Ted for the reply...I feel like this is a very similar hunt I had with my brothers and brother in law last year in PA public lands...we are all lucky to have a pack of friends who are willing to out out and look for blood/help us find a deer. We were in the same spot where we ran out of blood at different points, but at the end game found every deer we hit last year. Great feeling to find your buck at the end of each hunt. Cheers to you guys, taking it all the way to the finish line! Now get your ass back out there and give us more great videos!!

    In the tree the excitement was powerful and I was on the edge of my chair celebrating with Ted and Jake then.... reality sank in and I was feeling horrible for Ted, you could see it in his face. I know we got the shortened version but as I've been there every step and minute that passed the sicker I know Ted felt. Then BAM! total success I nearly lost my mind! Congrats Ted on your successful hunt and Recovery! And on top of that the actual hunt was only about an 1 1/2 hour long that's awesome on public to boot. Great job Ted!!

Nice job of wading through the snakes and staying with it to recover this buck. This is REAL hunting. Hard earned bucks taken by fair chase on public land. FB pictures and the title of this video offered insight that you got him and I was still nervous for you when he walked in, I was still excited with you when you released on him and I still hurt for you when you unexpectedly picked up that 'funked' arrow. Great video, great experience and a great buck. I hope to see you with the guys at the ATA Show next year so I can offer congratulations in person. Stand Firm. Finish Strong...

    Ted, your actions and all of you speaks volumes, congratulations. Others have covered it well, but I would like to repeat that your approach, philosophy and willingness to be direct is a huge shot in the arm for bowhunters. There was no questions you would all be successful with the show...this is a lot of fun to witness it come true. The season is young...can't wait to see Zach's hunt soon

    Ted is D Boone reincarnated. Seriously, I just found your THP series this winter 2019-20 and am binge watching. You all have 1st class video's and hunts. Your work ethic and sportsmanship do great credit to the human endeavor of hunting. Man has been doing this for 100,000 years 'cause there weren't any grocery stores. But there's more to it than getting something to eat. I killed my first squirrel 55 years ago and have hunted all over. My hats off to you. Keep it up.

  • @TrentWilliamsOutdoors1

    You can read Ted's mind. "Man the new intern comes in here, wounds a deer, gets too excited, etc etc." all that worry in his face and then RELIEF! It's great to watch unfold. Great job guys.

    That’s the one thing that scares me about fixed blades. Still a great hunt guys. But like you all mentioned, a double lung shot would have taken him quicker and more blood to trail.......love the footage guys......

    • @mztd912
      @mztd912 6 років тому

      A fixed blade cuts every time 10 times out of 10. A 1.5 inch wide mechanical might not even open. So not sure what you're scared about.
