this a pretty good video but the main thing I dont agree with is when you muted the beat. You don't usually want to mute the beat cause the finished product is gonna have the beat playing anyway so you should mix with the beat playing. The other thing is when it comes to "removing the bad frequencies", just don't over do it. You don't need to use every band to turn down certain frequencies.

Their vocals are layer heavy, they also have little to know reverb which should help with clarity alot because layering with reverb could get hectic. I could the fresh air in their mix but their settings are low. The main thing is little to no reverb with a little boost in the mids and cut off the very lows.
You would do the same for all types of vocals but for shit thas not underground cut less lows so when u cut the lows move the shit to the left a lil so it dnt cut too much of the lows
