i appreciate you spreading awareness about these crooked thugs. I just got state reffed for the third time a week ago that ill be making a video on. The crazy thing is the 3 Riverside Street Task Force units that pulled me over and targeted me for just a loud exhaust that then escalated into a modified emissions ticket once i popped my hood. (also gave me 4 other tickets like, no front plate etc. with the state reff included). He also said he will arrest me if i don't pop my hood and impound. How is that not a threat lol? Like c'mon man.. I'm the nicest most respectful guy, i obey all traffic laws , no criminal record.. The best part out of all this is they all had their units running for 30+ min during the whole traffic stop. So, lemme get this straight.. They are giving me a ticket for emitting emissions while all 3 of them are emitting emissions leaving their units at idle. How is that allowed at all? That's not for the people at all..

Glad to see this video; the amount of misinformation surrounding California Referee is insane. It's crazy you even went through this because active duty military and dual residency are often praised as the "golden ticket" to skirting California reg and smog. Things are only getting more brutal, sadly. I also agree with your takeover statement. You never see properly built cars participating in these takeovers, usually clapped out G35s, chargers, etc, that can easily do donuts stock and cost nearly nothing. I'm nearing the end of my 240sx project and can barely drive it because of the cops here in SD County. Tax evasion is another tool they use to punish people with out-of-state plates; with my professional license, I can't even risk that. I'd rather pay the impound fees than have to go through the litigation that entails if some asshole cop blows the situation out of proportion. This is happening a lot in the exotic car community, and it's big $$$ to deal with.
Virginia is bad about stuff as well. They'd always start by pulling us over for legal tint which gave them a bit more time to find something else. That something else was a 50 state legal cat-back exhaust with us. This was on a stock bugeye Subaru WRX with a HKS exhaust. The real kicker was that they'd ignore a straight piped, unmuffled Harley as it went by making ears bleed while the turbocharged, stock catted Subaru with a shiny exhaust gets a false ticket. Not a single one of them actually used a dB meter to test it, they just stated "it looks loud." What? VA Staties exist to harass and collect.

Get a wholesale dealer license just need to fill out some forms and get a $5,000 bond. Drive anything you want on the road with a dealer plate. Currently driving a 996 GT3 dedicated track car with a cup exhaust . Cops can’t do anything about it.
@@Hardwaretuned The only caveat is you can sell your cars private party. They have to be sold to a dealer. If you get friendly with your local independent they can sell it on consignment for you. I’m a dealer myself and have been pulled over numerous times in obvious race cars but I just tell them we are transporting the car from dealer to dealer.
Yeah California 🐷 are ruthless towards me in my W202 Mercedes with high flows cats, tint, ITBs, custom headers and Valvetronic muffler. I have Nevada plates living in Las Vegas and they try to pull that state ref crap when I'm in LA visiting my girlfriend's family in Inglewood. Thankfully I get those bs citations thrown away by proving my Nevada residency. Talk about government overreach and wrong priorities.
