Good day, Ma'am Jacutan! I'm Erich Jamillah C. Azuela from 9-Aaron, and I'm so glad to say that I'm present for today's class and I have watched the video lecture.
I learned that theater means "place of seeing". And, Theatron is a theater building wherein it is a large, open-air structure and it has 3 elements: the orchestra, the skene and the audience, which are the things that we need in a theater play. I've also learned about Mr. William Shakespeare, that's often called as "Bard of Avon" and he was regarded as the greatest writer and dramalist in the whole world. Ballet, in the other hand, is a formalized dance form which has been originated from Italian Renaissance court. Bringing back, there are also different types of a theater, which are the:
》Greek Theater - Began in Ancient Greece(700 BC with festivals). Additionally, there are 3 types of drama in Greek Theater:
⊙Tragedy - It discusses about tragic events and an unhappy ending, especially concerning about the downfall of the main character.
⊙Comedy - Derived from the imitation; no traces of their origin yet.
⊙Satyr - Plays contain elements to lighten the overall mood or serious play with a happy ending; in addition, these plays are short-lighthearted which are performed after trilogy of tragedies.
》Roman Theater - From Ancient Rome(have started in the 3rd century BE). There are also usual themes for this kind of theater, and these are the chariots races, gladiators and public executions.
》Medieval Theater - Has started from 500 CE - 1400, performances were not allowed throughout Europe. Minstrels, through denounced by the church, were performed in markets, public places and festivals to keep the theater alive.
》Renaissance Theater - Has started from 1400 - 1600, characterized by a return of Classical Greek Roman culture and arts and morality plays and university drama were formed to recreate Athenian tragedy.
I realized that a theater is like an organization because it needs so many people/branches to create things that are needed to make a one theater play and must give a strong impact to everyone. For me, it also builds social relationships because those people who make up a theater have time to showcase their talents and come up with a great play together.

    Good day po ma'am!!
Present po from 9 - Aaron
    Roque, Gabriel Alexus C.
I learned about the history of theatrical genres and their revolution from watching the video. I learned that Theater is a location where people can go to view shows. It all started with a meeting, a ritual, and a society for the purpose of amusement. The writer, director, performers, designers, theatrical personnel, audiences, actors, and actresses all contribute to the production of the theater. The origins of the drama can be traced back to humanity's religious beliefs. This is true of drama from other countries as well as English drama. The majority of ancient Greek and Roman tragedies revolved around people's religious observances. Individuals like going to the theater as one of the most popular forms of entertainment. For millennia, people have enjoyed theater, comedy, music, and other forms of entertainment. Different theatrical forms and histories exist; the first is the Greek Theater, which is a European theater that dates back to Ancient Greece. Tragedy, comedy, and satyr are the three types of drama in Greek opera. Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright, and actor who was widely recognized as the world's greatest writer and dramatist. Finally, it was around this time that the ballet was first performed. Ballet is a codified type of dance that began in the courts of the Italian Renaissance.

Good afternoon po Maám! My name is Tolentino, Antoine Ramesses T. from 9-Curie. I have watched and listened to the given video lecture for today's asynchronous class session.
A theatre is a venue where people can watch live performances. I discovered that there have been many various styles of theatre all through history, within each set of ideas. They had their own set of challenges and difficulties to resolve, although they were still capable of creating beautiful stages. There are three types of drama in Greek opera: tragedy, comedy, and rut. I also discovered that the theater was known as the ASR ther. It is a massive open-air structure comprised of three major components: the orchestra, the skene, and the audience. It was constructed on the hill's slopes and consisted of three essential aspects: the orchestra, the skene, and the amount. I also learned about various kinds of theater, such as Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance.

Theater is defined as a "place of seeing". But it is more than just the structures where performances are held. I also learned about the different styles of theater, with Greek theater being the first. In Ancient Greece, theater was born. Festivals commemorating their gods began about 700 BC. The deity of wine and fertility, Dionysus, is honored through religious festivals known as "The Cult of Dionysus." Tragedie, comedy, and satyr are three different genres of drama in Greek opera. I also discovered that the theater was known as theatron. The orchestra, skene, and audience were the three essential features of this huge, open-air building built on the slopes of hills. I also learnt about the numerous forms of theater, including the Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance theaters. William Shakespeare is the most famous actor from the poem. He was an English poet, playwright, and actor who was widely regarded as the world's finest writer and dramatist. Ballet was also performed for the first time during this time period. I learned that theater means "place of seeing". Theatre or theater is a collaborative form of performing art that uses live performers, usually actors or actresses, to present the experience of a real or imagined event before a live audience in a specific place, often a stage. Every theatre is unique, but, with few exceptions, theatres, both Western and Asian, can be categorized into four basic forms: arena stage theatres (also referred to as theatre-in-the-round); thrust stage (or open stage) theatres; end stage theatres (of which proscenium theatres are a subset); and flexible stage. A lot of people have loved theatre, comedy, music, and ither types of entertainment fo millennia. The history of theater may be traced all the way back to the 6th centuy B.C. The Renaissance lasted from 1400 to 1600. The revival of Classical Greek Roman arts and culture marked this age in theater arts. Morality plays and university dramas were also produced to replicate Athenian tragedy. The movie also mentioned William Shakespeare as the most famous actor and poet of the Renaissance period. - The word theater means “a place of seeing”, but it is more than buildings where the performances take place.
    - The Greek Theater is a European theater that began in Ancient Greece. Festivals that honor their Gods were celebrated in this very theater that began around 700 BC. There are three types of drama in Greek Opera; tragedy, comedy, and satyr. Tragedy was the most admired type of play, as it focuses on heartbreaking events and sad endings. Thespis is the first actor that acted upon the type Tragedy. He also introduced the uses of masks and was called the “Father of Tragedy”. Comedy plays were derived from imitation. Aristophanes wrote most comedy plays. Satyr plays consist of comic elements to lighten the mood or a serious play with a happy ending. Satyr plays are most commonly short, lighthearted tailpieces which are performed after a trilogy of tragedies.
    - We call theater buildings “theatron”. It is a large, open-air structure constructed on the slope of hills and consists of the orchestra, the scene and the audience.
    - The Roman Theater that started in Ancient Rome began in the 3rd century BC. The usual theme for Roman theater plays were chariot races, gladiators, and public executions. The Triumvir of Pompey was one of the first permanent theaters in Rome whose architecture is similar to the Theatron of Athens.
    - The Medieval Theater started at 500 CE to the 1400s. During the Medieval Era, theater performances were not allowed throughout Europe. To keep the theater alive, minstrels, though denounced by the church, performed in markets, public places, and festivals. They traveled from town to town as puppeteers, jugglers, story tellers, dancers, singers, and other performers in other theatrical acts. Morality plays and university dramas were formed to recreate the Athenian tragedy.
    - In the 1400s to the 1600s, Renaissance Theater arts were characterized by a return of Classical Greek Roman arts and culture.
    - William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright, and actor and was regarded as the greatest writer and dramatist in the whole world.
    - Shakespeare was often called England’s National Poet and the “Bard of Avon”.
    - Some of his most notable, well-loved plays were Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, and Much Ado about Nothing.
    - The ballet was performed during this period. It is a formalized form of dance which originated from Italian Renaissance courts.

Upon watching the video lecture these are the things that I remembered. What is a Theater? It is building where performances takes place it also means “place of seeing”. I have also learned the different types of theatrical forms and those are: First is called the Greek Theater which is a theatrical culture that flourished in ancient Greece from 700 BC. The three types of drama in greek opera are Tragedy, comedy and satyr. Tragedy in this drama they emphasizes the tragic events and unhappy endings especially the downfall of the main character. The first actor who introduced the use of masks and called the “Father of Tragedy” is named Thespis. Meanwhile Comedy it was more on the funny side of drama where plays were derived from imitation with no traces from the origin. And Satyr a play where it is usually used to lighten the overall mood or like a serious play but unlike Tragedy it has a happy ending. Theatron is a large open air structured that consists of three main elements: the orchestra, the skene, and the audience. Theatron is a place where the audience are seated, the orchestra is below it.
Next is the Roman Theater it is the theater of ancient Rome that started in the 3rd century BC. Their usual themes are chariots races, gladiators and public executions. One of the first permanent theaters in Rome was The Triumvir of Pompey. Women are also allowed to perform.
Now we are in the Medieval Theater in this era theater performance was not allowed in Europe, to keep this theater alive they performed through churches, markets or all other public places. They used to travel from different town to town to play.
Then Renaissance Theater arts were it is characterized return of classical greek roman arts and culture.
The most famous William Shakespeare is an english poet, playwright actor and was known as the greatest writer and dramatist in the world. Often called as the England’s National Poet and “Bard of Avon"
Ballet was also performed during this period, Baller a formalized form of dance that originated from Italian Renaissance courts.

A good day to you po, Ma''am Jacutan! I am happy to say that I have already watched the video presentations for today's asynchronous session. - Jaime B. Bote IV from Grade 9 - Aaron
    LEARNINGS/REALIZATIONS
Regarding this lesson I learned that when it came to theatres, these theatres are commonly referred to as a "place of seeing" and there is so much more that goes into a theatre that makes it a theatre. Be it the buildings, director, play write, audience, actors and actresses etc. But out of all of these the sole element that makes a theatre a theatre is the audience that actually witnessed said theatre. Now, aside from that this video presentation also discussed the different theatrical forms throughout history and how they evolved. And for me personally, this information was very new to me since before watching said video presentation, I always thought that theatre was just a glorified version of plays were in directors dramatize said plays in order for said plays to be exaggerated. But now with me watching this video I now came to the understanding that theatres were so much more than that, and just like with operas, theatres as well have a rich history surrounding it, spanning millennium. And just like with operas, theatres as well have the ability to invoke certain emotions to its audients since after all with the mean of theatre, essentially we are seeing first - hand the experiences of various different people experiencing various different
circumstances and emotions. And so with the different learnings that this lesson has imparted to me I realized that just like with operas, sometimes we take for granted how helpful theatres are to us as human beings. Since, essentially whenever we watch a theatrical play, we are able to see first hand different emotions that we as humans can feel, since these people are portraying certain people in order for us to have a better understanding of these emotions. And so, since theatres show to us how certain emotions feel like, in a way we are able to have a better understanding of one another as genuine human beings who have human emotions. Hence why with the help of theatres we as humans can have a better understanding of one another. And aside from that, I also came to the realization that because of theatres we as humans will now have a better understanding of one another, in the sense that with the help of theatres we are essentially being exposed to various different cultures, depending on the theatrical play that you are watching. Hence why, all and all if we sum it up altogether theatre is a form of medium that connects us with one another through the means of seeing first hand different human emotions, different human circumstances, and different cultures aside from our own.

However, the theater is more than just the structures in which performances take place. Theater originated with myth, ritual, and ceremony. Due to human desire and need for entertainment, early society perceived links between actions performed by groups of people or leaders and specific societies, and these actions progressed from habit to tradition, ritual, and ceremony.

This lesson taught me that "theater" means "place of seeing." The buildings where the performances take place, on the other hand, are important. There are various types of theater. The Greek Theater, Theatron, Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance Theaters are just a few examples. The Greek Theater/Opera is divided into three types: tragedy, comedy, and satyr. The Theatron, on the other hand, is made up of three major components. The orchestra, skene, and audience are examples of these elements. Chariot races, gladiators, and public executions are all popular themes in Roman theater.
Throughout Europe during the Medieval Era, theater performances were not permitted. Minstrels, despite being condemned by the church, performed in markets, public places, and festivals to keep the theater alive. Finally, the Renaissance theater arts were distinguished by a revival of Classical Greek and Roman arts and culture. I also learned that William Shakespeare was regarded as the world's greatest writer and dramatist, and that he was often referred to as England's National Poet and "Bard of Avon." Ballet was also performed for the first time during this period.

    A pleasant day po, Ma’
am Jacutan! I had already completed watching the video lecture and also present for today’
s Asynchronous class session. I am Felipe, Bianca Cyrill C. from Grade 9 - Aaron.
My takeaways for this video lecture:
Theater originated with myth, ritual, and ceremonial, according to the video lesson. Due to human desire and need for entertainment, early civilization saw similarities between activities performed by groups of people or leaders to a certain society, and these behaviors progressed from habit, to tradition, to ritual, to ceremony. Tragedy, comedy, and the satyr play were the three genres of theater in ancient Greece's theatre. According to Aristotle (384-322 BCE), the earliest thinker of theatre, the beginnings of theatre in ancient Greece may be traced in the festivals honoring Dionysus.
The drama's origins are deeply ingrained in humanity's religious predispositions. This is true not only of English drama, but also of drama from other countries. The majority of ancient Greek and Roman tragedies dealt with people's religious rituals. A trip to the theater is one of the most popular types of entertainment for individuals. People have loved theatre, comedy, music, and other types of entertainment for millennia. The history of theater may be traced all the way back to the 6th century B.C. The first dramatic displays were made by the Ancient Greeks. In many ways, Greek theater has inspired modern entertainment. Actors in costume, spectacular effects, comedy, and even the shape of the theatre have all left an indelible mark. That's all, thank you po! :)

It all started with celebrations celebrating their gods circa 700 BC. Dionysus, the deity of wine and fertility, is honored through religious festivals known as "The Cult of Dionysus." Tragedie, comedy, and satyr are the three genres of drama in Greek opera. I also discovered that the theater was known as theatron. The orchestra, the skene, and the audience were the three essential features of this huge, open-air construction built on the slopes of hills.
I also learned about the numerous forms of theater, including the Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance theaters. William Shakespeare is the most renowned actor in the poem. He was an English poet, playwright, and actor who was widely regarded as the world's finest writer and dramatist. Ballet was also performed for the first time at this time. Ballet is a codified type of dance that began in the courts of the Italian Renaissance.

These are my learnings and takeaways from the lesson provided
In this lesson, I learned that Theater means a "place of seeing". The theater has begun with meet, rituals, and ceremonies. Due to human desire and entertainment also. A theater consists of a playwright which is the writer, the director who rehearses the performers, the designer, and the theatrical crew who produces the props that the performers used in the play and the performers or casts themselves. It will be a complete theater act if the audience sees it. We have different types of theatrical forms and those are the Greek theater which is where it all of it began. It began around 700BC with the festivals honoring their gods. Dionysus the name of the god, he is the god of the grape harvest, winemaking, orchards and fruit, vegetation, fertility, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, festivity, and theatre in ancient Greek religion and myth. He has religious festivals called "The cult of Dionysus" to honor him. The theater of ancient greek consisted of 3 dramas which are: tragedy, comedy, and satyr. The tragedy is a compound of two Greek words tragos or goat" and "won" meaning ode or song. This was the most admired type of play in the greek theater. It dealt with tragic as stated in the name, sad and unhappy endings. Thespis was the first actor and he introduced the use of masks and was called the "Father of tragedy". The next type is the comedy we know that comedy is all about getting people to laugh that's what comedy is about. Aristophanes wrote most of the comedy plays. Last is the satyr which contains comic elements to lighten the overall mood or a serious play with a happy ending. It is a short but lighthearted tailpiece of performance after each trilogy of tragedies. The building where the actors and actresses perform is what we called theatron. Next is the roman theater it started around the 3rd century BC and its usual themes are chariot races, gladiators, and public executions. The Triumvir of Pompey was one of the first non-wooden permanent theaters in Rome somewhat like the theatre of Athens. Next is we have the Medieval Theater which started around 500bc - 1400. During its era theater performances are banned throughout Europe for some reasons. Just to keep it alive they performed in the markets and public places even though it denounces by the church. They traveled from town to town as puppeteers, jugglers, and storytellers, and some of them performs the other theatrical acts. Then Renaissance theater period born in 1400 - 1600 Rennaissance theater arts were characterized by a return of classical greek arts and cultures. Mortality plays and university dramas were formed to recreate Athenian tragedy. Public theaters were developed by "commedia dell'arte" also known as Italian comedy which is a humorous theatrical presentation. The most famous actor and poet of this time also emerged during this period is William Shakespeare. He was regarded as the greatest writer and dramatist in the whole world. Shakespeare is often called "England's National poet and "Bard of Avon". Some of his famous plays were beloved by the people and are the: Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Mid Summer Night's Dream, Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, and Much ado about nothing. For the first time ballet was performed on the stage during this period. Ballet was also formalized form of dance that originates in Italian Rennaisance Courts.

    🖤Theatre🖤
The word "theatre" means "place of seeing". However, there's so much more going on inside the buildings where performances occur.
A theatre must have these characteristics in order to be called a theatre
    1. A playwright must be present to write a script
    2. A director that shall rehearse the actors and actresses
    3. A designer and a theatrical crew for the props that will be used
    4. Actors and actresses who will perform
    5. An audience that will witness the play
    Greek Theatre:
The first European theatre began in Ancient Greece c. 700 BC. It was present at festivals commemorating their gods. One such god is Dionysus, who is the god of wine and fertility but he is best known for "The Cult of Dionysus" which celebrated him by using plays and dramas
Greek Theatre consists of three types
Tragedy- deals with tragedy and unhappy endings. It also used masks for the first time Thespis is accredited as "The Father of Tragedy".
Comedy- deals with funniness, happiness and imitations. Aristophanes is known for writing many comedy plays.
Satyr- Usually performed after each trilogy of tragedies, it contains comical elements just to lighten up the mood. It can also be described as a serious story with a happy ending
    Greek Theatre is performed at a Theatron. It is a huge, open-air structure constructed on the slopes of hills. The Theatron has three parts;
    -One for the Orchestra
    -One for the Skene
    -One for the Audience
    Roman Theatre:
Roman Theatre started in the 3rd century BC
It had performances, acrobatics, highly-elaborated tragedies, comedies etc.
The Romans prefer themes such as gladiators, chariot racing and public executions. They were more on blood sports, gladiator competitions and combat
When Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire, they opposed the barbarism involved and disestablished the theatres.
    Medieval Theatre:
After the collapse of the Roman Empire, theatres largely died down because the Church denounced them. So in order for them to keep theatre alive, minstrels would perform at public markets, public places and festivals.
Performers often travelled town to town and city to city as jugglers, singers, dancers, puppeteers and story tellers.
    Renaissance Theatre:
The Renaissance Theatre gave way for the return of Greco-Roman arts and culture.
It is now focused on Athenian Tragedy thanks to Morality plays and University Dramas.
Public Theatres were developed by Commedia dell'arte or the Italian Comedy. It is a humorous and dramatic entertainment that used masks
Another contribution made by the Italians is the ballet. The ballet which is a formalised dance was first introduced in the Italian Renaissance Era.
    William Shakespeare:
William Shakespeare, best known for his works such as "Romeo and Juliet", "Hamlet", "Julius Caesar", "Cleopatra", "Midsummer's Night Dream", "Much Ado about Nothing", is regarded as the greatest writer and dramatist in the world.
Shakespeare is an English writer, dramatist, playright and actor. He is regarded as the National Poet of England and "the Bard of Avon".

A theater play, according to the video, is a performance drama presented to a specific society by a group of people. Theatrical plays are a type of entertainment performance that aims to satisfy human desires. Different events in our society are usually depicted in these types of plays. A theater play is primarily made up of character dialogue and is meant to be performed rather than read. The word theater means "place of seeing," implying that it is a place where you can watch or see something happen.
I also learned that there are 4 types of theatrical forms. The greek opera, roman theater, medieval theater, and the renaissance theater. These theatrical forms portrays different play based on their own eras.

    > What I have learned in this Video Lecture:
I have learned all about the theatrical forms and their evolution. Myth, ritual, and ceremony, I've discovered, are the origins of the theater. Early societies saw connections between activities performed by groups of people or leaders to certain societies, and these actions progressed from habit to customs, ritual, and ceremony as a result of human desire and need for entertainment. The term "theatre" refers to a venue where people may go to view plays and other performances However, it is more than just the structures where performances are held. As a result, theater is made up of playwrights, or writers. And the director who collaborates with the actors during rehearsals. There are also designers and theatrical crew members who construct props for the scenes. Finally, there are theater performers or actors and actresses who performs on stage. It will only be a true theater when audience witnessed it. I have learned too the different theatrical forms, their evolution and history. The first type of theater that I have learned is called the GREEK THEATER. European theater began in Ancient Greece. It began around 700 BC with festivals honoring their gods. Dionysus, the god of wine and fertility, has religious festivals called "The Cult of Dionysus" to honor him. The theater of ancient Greek consisted of three dramas: tragedy, comedy and satyr. Moreover, theatron is what we called to the theater building. It is consisted of three main elements: orchestra, skene and audience. Furthermore, I also learned what roman theater is. The theater of ancient Rome started in 3rd century BC. How about medieval theater? During the Medieval Era, theater performances were not allowed throughout Europe. To keep the theater alive, minstrels, though denounced by the church, performed in markets, public places and festivals. And then, renaissance period began, the Renaissance Theater arts were characterized by a return of classical Greek roman arts and culture. Additionally, I have learned that the most famous actor and poet who emerged in this period during the time of renaissance period is William Shakespeare. He was an English poet, playwright, and actor and was regarded as the greatest writer and dramatist in the whole world. Lastly, for the first time, ballet was also performed during this period. Ballet is ideally suited for musical theatre; it is a form of dance which hinges on the conveyance of clear narrative. That's All. Thank you!

In this video lecture, I learned that theater means a "place of seeing". It will only be a true theater act when the audience witnessed it. I learned the different characteristics and themes of the theaters and the performances during the different eras.
There are different theatrical forms, first is the Greek theater. The theater of ancient greek consists of three types of dramas, the tragedy, comedy and satyr. The theatron is what we called theater building.
In Roman theater, the usual themes of this theater plays were chariots races, gladiators and public executions. During Medieval era the Medieval theater performances were not allowed throughout Europe, they travelled from one town to another. In Renaissance theater arts, the theater performances were characterized by return of Classical Greek Roman arts and culture.

In this video, I learned that theater means a "place of seeing", but it is more than the buildings where performances take place. Theater began from myth, ritual, and ceremony.
Greek theater began in Ancient Greece. It began around 700 BC with festivals honoring their gods. Dionysus, the god of wine and fertility, has religious festivals called "The Cult of Dionysus" to honor him. Greek theater consists of three dramas- Tragedy is a tragic events and unhappy ending; Thespis was the father of Tragedy, Comedy is derived from imitation; Aristophanes wrote most of the comedy plays, and Satyr is a comic elements to lighten the mood or a serious play with a happy ending. The theater building was called theatron. It is a large, open-air structure constructed on the sloped of hills and consisted of three main elements: the orchestra, the skene, and the audience. Roman theater plays were chariot races, gladiators, and public executions. Medieval theater keep the theater alive, minstrels, though denounced by the church, performed in markets, public places, and festivals. They travelled from one town to another as puppeteers, jugglers, story tellers, dancers, singers, and other performers in other theatrical acts. Renaissance theater arts were characterized by a return of Classical Greek Roman arts and culture. William Shakespeare was an English poet playwright, and actor and was regarded as the greatest writer and dramatist in the whole world. Lastly, the ballet was first performed during this period. Ballet is a formalized form of dance which is originated from Italian Renaissance courts.
In short, I learned that there are a lot of theater forms in different eras and they all have a different kinds of themes.

In this lesson, I have learned about different types of theaters. The first one is the Greek Theater, the primary function of this theater is to honor the gods (especially Dionysus). Under the Greek Theater, there are three types of drama. These are the Tragedy (had an unhappy ending), Comedy (funny play), and Satyr (contain comical elements to lighten a serious play with a happy ending). The second type of theater is the Roman Theater, this theatre is known for its sadistic plays (chariots races, gladiators, public executions). The third type of theater is the Medieval Theater, in this era, theatrical actors became puppeteers, jugglers, storytellers, etc. just to keep the theater alive since they are banned throughout Europe. The last type of theater is the Renaissance Theater, this era is the return of Greek and Roman arts and culture.

What I have learned watching the video Lecture..
Today I have learned so many things that enlighten my understanding about how beautiful and creative the ancient people is. As I watch the video lecture, most of my learning is from what is theater and the different theaters in different ancient periods. I Have learned that theater is based on the theme Myth, ritual, and ceremony, and that is the main focus of its creation. Also I have learned that theater means “A place of seeing”. Aside from these learnings, I have also learned the different Theater in ancient period and based form the video, its state 4 theaters. Let me tell them individually. The first theater that the video mentioned is the “Greek Theater”. This theater, based on my observation, is a European Theater began in 700 BC with festivals honoring their God in Ancient Greece. Based on my learnings, Greek theater has 3 themes and that is Tragedy(Compound of two Greek words tragos or goat and won; Ode or song is the Meaning. Tragedy theater has tragic events and unhappy ending), Comedy(It is derived from imitation. It has a theme of funny and happy since comedy most of the time is more focused on happy and enjoyable themes. Aristophanes is the famous writer of comedy play), and Satyr It contains comic elements. It is a serious play with a happy ending). Additionally, I have learned the theatron. It is a theater building. A large, open air structure we’re theater is played. The second theater that the video mentioned is the “Roman Theater. Roman Theater happens at the setting of the 3rd century BC. Most of the themes that this theater has is Chariot races, Gladiators and Public executions. Furthermore, Triumvir of Pompey is the permanent theater in Rome. The Third Theater that the video Mentioned is the “ Medieval Theater”. Medieval Theater mainly performed in the time 500 CE - 1400. In this era, the theater was forbidden in continental Europe simply because it was the Medieval era. This explains that during this era, the places were led by the church's leader. Yet, behind these barriers some performers made theater alive by performing in markets, public places and festivals. The last era that is mentioned in the video is the “Renaissance Theater. This happens during 1400-1600. This era is called the return of classical Greek Roman Arts and Culture as well as the theater. William Shakespeare was the most known in the Era. He is a Famous Actor and poet during the Renaissance Era. He is an English Poet, Playwright, Actor, Greatest writer and Dramalist. His name or he is known as England's National Poet and the “board of Avon”. Lastly, In this era Ballet is performed. This is the first time performed during the renaissance era. Ballet is a form of dance that originated in the Italian Renaissance Court. That is all my learning. Thankyou!

In this video, I have learned about the history of theatrical forms and how they evolved. I also learned about different playwrights and composers from the Romantic period. After watching I was able to determine the true beauty of theater. In the video, theater is defined as a *place of seeing* for it will only be considered as a true play if and only if when audience witnessed it. Theater began with myth, ritual, and ceremony. Early society perceived connections between actions performed by groups of people or leaders to certain societies, and these actions moved from habit to tradition, to ritual and to ceremony due to human desire and need for entertainment.
*Greek theater* originated in Ancient Greece and consists of three dramas. *Tragedy* is the most admired play that depicts tragic events and has an unhappy ending. *Comedy* which is derived from imitation, meaning it has no traces of origin. Lastly, the *Satyr* which contains comic elements to lighten the mood or a serious play with a happy ending.
*Roman theater plays* were chariot races, gladiators, and public executions. *Medieval theater* was performed in markets, public places, and festivals because they were denounced by the church. They traveled around as puppeteers, jugglers, story tellers, dancers, etc. In the video, I also learned more about the most outstanding poet, playwright, and actor during this era, William Shakespeare. He is one of the most famous poets that I really admire for his amazing plays.
At the end of the video, I was so amazed to discover that there were a lot of theater forms throughout the different eras and how they all displayed different kinds of theatrical forms. They also have a lot of hardships, but they still manage to bring people the entertainment they desire and deserve.

according to the video there are three types of drama in greek opera Comedy - the plays were derived from imitations , satyr - this plays contain comic elements lighten the overall mood or a serious play with a happy ending . tragedy - it dealt with tragic events and had unhappy ending .

Theater is a place of seeing where a play is performed. There are Playwrights and Directors(who helps the performers rehearse) as well as designers, theatrical crew and the performers. Of course, a play without the audience is not a true play.
    Theatrical forms
    1.) Greek Theater
    Consists of 3 dramas:
    -Tragedy
:Ends with a sad ending, about the downfall of the main character. Most admired type of play in the Greek theater.
    -Comedy
:A funny play, derived from imitation.
    -Satire
:A serious play with a Happy Ending.
Thespis was the first actor to introduce the use of masks.
    2.) Roman Theater
    Usual Themes for play:
    -Chariots Races
    -Gladiators
    -Public Execut1ons
Romans love to watch combat. The more realistic the violence is, the more romans pleased. On the other hand, the Christians closed the theater because they disagree with this.
This time, women are now allowed to perform.
    3.) Medieval Theater
This time theater is not allowed in Europe, so they decided to perform in other places and in festivals to keep the theater alive.
    4.) Renaissance Theater
Mixture of Greece and Roman Culture.
William Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon, is regarded as the greatest writer and dramatist in the whole world. He has 38 plays, and one of the most popular play is "Romeo and Juliet".
For the first time ever, Ballet was also performed during this period.
