I had a ‘18 Spyder f3T, then a ‘16 Freewheeler, it rode pretty harsh and the old lady said the passenger floorboards were too high even with a tall boy seat. So went back to a ‘20 Spyder F3L. Watching your channel is making me want a RG3.

46 yo vet with some nerve damage and shoulder issues and am seriously considering this bike because of the lack of confidence I am feeling riding my ultra classic. I love road glide and was looking at the RG limited but the RG 3 is tempting.
I feel ya, brother. Myself, have both shoulders separated, and continuously have to work them or it will get worse. Honestly, I wasn’t at that “age” of becoming a trike owner, but I’m sure glad I sucked it up and did it. I’ll never look back at that decision! I feel so much better, physically and mentally. When you’re ready, you’ll be fine. I don’t feel long rides the day after like I used too. Good luck with everything, and thanks for commenting!! Appreciate you!!

Donnie I love the bars but I think you should pull them back towards you a little because you will start to feel some lower back fatigue and strain on long rides due to the handlebar position. The position looks like you're stretched out too much with little bend in your arms. I think with a little more bend in your arms and a backrest you will be more comfortable.
That was my observation as well. The comfort triangle is stretched out forward a bit much. Just my opinion . BTW- I'm taking my 2023 tri-glide 120th anniversary trike into the shop "today" and will be dealing with a "fitment specialist" who helps customers with proper bar size and placement. @donniewieburg thank you for your content.
What did you do to fix the issue of the hole being on passenger side of the bars and the nipple being on the driver side on the neck? I just did my bars and it was a a task. I watched your video and you didnt mention it but i can clearley see the hole on the throttle side Of your bars so you had to have had the issue as well. I ask cause some say grind nipple i just made a hole on drivers side of bars. Beautiful rg3 also👍😎👍

You have the right. Any taller and in my opinion look like S. When I changed the bars on my 2021 Tri Glide, my hands are right at the top of the fairing. Not above. To me, bars above the fairing do not match the lines of the bike and just don't look right.

@@rodrigoedo5902 the bars I have on my bike now are 14 inch KST Pathfinder. You will need a clutch cable extension and to reroute the front brake line from the plastic holder on the side of the neck.
Hey Paul. I’ve been thinking of a trike for a while now, but none really grabbed my attention. I’m coming off a 2020 Road Glide Special and when I saw this at the dealership, I was sold. I’m a shark nose fairing guy and this hit it for me. I test rode this and a TriGlide back and forth to see what I liked. This, to me, was more agile and sporty. It took me about a week to really feel comfortable on it because of the riding dynamic differences. Once you experience the ease of operating it, you tend to feel more relaxed. After 3 weeks now, I love it. The confidence I have now is life changing. Not having to hold up 1100 lbs. in stop and go traffic is my big ah-ha moment. I did not, Chris. You have to move the clutch cable out of its clip on the neck and remove the plastic bridge where the cable connectors sit in the housing area under the gauges. Also, pull the brake line up. There’s play there. Can’t go over 14’s doing this.

The bike looks great. My dealership is saying the max bar you can put on is 12'' without having to extend the brake & clutch lines. Did you have to do anything with the lines putting a 13'' bar on?
Hey, I really enjoyed watching this. I had 2015 freewheeler that I went pretty crazy with. 23" front wheel, rear fender delete, fat rear tires, 16" apes, pin stripping, air ride and more. Fast forward, I sold that a while ago, I just ordered a blue on black RG3 and have been buying parts waiting for its arrival. My question is, could you share what bars you bought" I'm going to go with LA Coppers Twin Peaks to match my Street Glide, but can't find anyone who can confirm if they are the same as a Road Glide or as a Freewheeler as far as the clamping diameter. Is it 1-1/4" straight through or 1" like my freewheeler was. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Keith from Jersey

I just got my RG3 & realized that the handlebars need to be brought more towards me. I'm hyperextending my arms to steer & I'm not able to control the steering correctly. How do I adjust them? Thanks in advance. I have Factory 47s 12 inch installed.
Did you install them? If not, I would go back to whomever did and have them adjust them to your liking. If you did, just loosen the clamp bolts and tilt them back toward you more.
KST is the go to company for handlebars they have a great install video on UA-cam.

It's a personal choice on height. My concern would be how your arms feel in full turn position.

The way I installed them, I didn’t have to. Some people have opted to go ahead and get them though.

I tapped the pin down into the body of the clamp. It’s not needed.

Had those mirrors, if you ride in all weather, the finish will wear out after a season or 2. Otherwise they're awsome.

Did u have to get longer brake cables
