It has changed a lot but it is still fun to revisit Brighton whenever I go to England I make sure to visit Brighton. It is my second home . I also lived in Brighton in 70s while I was studying in Sussex
Great place for music in the '70's . All nighters at the Sussex University , The Dome and The Big Apple Club . In 1971 saw many gigs by the best bands of the day at these venues .
Beautiful town , I lived in Brighton in 70s while I was studying in 70s. In Sussex. It is like my second home . Whenever I visit I make sure to visit Brighton. However it has changed a lot . Thanks for taking me back to memory lane. It was my best years in life . You missed the lanes and specially east street where I lived . The wimpy is no more there at 66 east street my favariout eating place while I was there .the owners name was cuspirious he was from Italy
Do you have any footage of the shops at the back of Churchill Square ? I spent most of my childhood growing up there , my brother and I use to collect the trolleys for Sainsbury , I was about 7 when we started doing that , they would give us bars of chocolate. My mum and dad worked in one of the shops there . Dad died this year 😢
Brighton was great when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s but now it's dirty and run down, it reminds me of a smaller London, I only visit if I really have to.
@1inchPunchBowl is it ? Last time I parked in North Street car park I had to step over a couple jacking up in the stairwell. Madeira drive is rotting away and the west peir is completely abandoned. Its nothing like the town I grew up in.
Wonderful! I lived in Brighton in the 70's it was a fabulous place...Probably still is
I can confirm it most certainly is :) for the most part anyway..!

Watch out for the gap where the Countess of Huntingdon's Chapel had recently been demolished!
1st bit is up north street going past the clock tower, 2nd bit is end of western road going past Churchill square.
Up North Street first, then along Western Road and past the 1960s' Churchill Square then down North Street again.

Not to those that actually live there. Its a beautiful city. You have no idea what your talking about.
