Hi Ali, I have a fundamental question. Have you created at least one QUANT strategy that you play successfully on a real account? I have been trying for over a year now (1H, 1D), and nothing passes the tests in MT4. I ask because I lose faith in this tool. Regards - Kris
Hello, I've been building EAs for MT4 and MT5 for 5+ years manually, in order to build a consistent EA ( by consistent I mean making profits for 6 months to a year till alpha decay kicks in ) , you need to ALWAYS use OOS (out of sample data testing), which is included in strategy builder (data ranges section, you can choose one of the standard proposed configurations directly), otherwise building and optimizing EAs are completely random and meaningless. Also building a very profitable EA is still difficult no matter where you do it, you can achieve 10-30% annual returns per robot (reasonable risk) without much effort, hence you have to either build a lot of them, or come up with a very good idea of your own and improve it further.
Hi Kris Of course you can make money using Algos. I don't think MT4 ro SQX or any tool has anything to do with it, they are tools at the end. You need to have the right development frame work to build robust Algos. You need to understand the fundamentals of why things work they way they do. This is a profession like everything else, you need to learn the right methodology and gain experience. There are at least 10 strategies on this channel that are profitable! if you want to be profitable by next month, ditch 1H time frame, build mean reversion strategies on SP500 and CADNZD pair on daily timeframe, add two more strategies using Gold, GBPJPY seasonality. trade the above 4 strategies in a portfolio with the right position size based on your capital so as not to risk more than 2% and you will be profitable. Join the discord channel to learn more. It's not magic, it's just learning simple principals and applying them consistently.

😀 all the above, the higher the better, of course there are thresholds that you should drop strategies at.

@@StatOasis do you trade all of that with TS? I can’t find the way to trade currency pairs on TS
